(It's very annoying to agree with him so often but..........) As APK just said, I unfortunately think it would be possible to find somebody who doesn't have enough loved ones and thinks, fuck it, I'll go out with a bang.
I don't think on that level it would be such a problem.
Finding people sick enough to want to be in the house with them - who essentially are there for the money - might be a bit trickier.
Morally, you should already lose the public vote just by taking part, because the concept simply doesn't make sense (or I'm missing something here). What person, who wanted to be able to sleep at night, would take part in a programme where you essentially have to convince someone to stay suffering longer simply to fatten your own wallet?
Who would vote to keep those people in the house?
How could that person be called a winner?
Hummie's Happy Ending is impossible. Or am I wrong?
I thought euthanasia was only legal in NL for people who will die shortly anyway?
It's not like abortion, where you could have a doubter who needed to be convinced either way...........that I could understand..............But that's a 50/50 one, where half the nation will be disgusted and outraged and half fighting for free choice. An old subject.
Euthanasia would be a kijkcijfer bomb (with press coverage the world over). But I can't help thinking it would be fundamentally flawed because there can be no Happy Ending Hummie!!!!!
