U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies received warning signals at least three months ago that Middle Eastern terrorists were planning to hijack commercial aircraft to use as weapons to attack important symbols of American and Israeli culture, according to a story in Germany's daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ).

The FAZ, quoting unnamed German intelligence sources, said that the Echelon spy network was being used to collect information about the terrorist threats, and that U.K. intelligence services apparently also had advance warning. The FAZ, one of Germany's most respected dailies, said that even as far back as six months ago western and near-east press services were receiving information that such attacks were being planned. Within the American intelligence community, the warnings were taken seriously and surveillance intensified, the FAZ said. However, there was disagreement on how such terrorist attacks could be prevented, the newspaper said.

Echelon is said to be a vast information collection system capable of monitoring all the electronic communications in the world. It is thought to be operated by the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. No government agency has ever confirmed or denied its existence. However, an EU committee that investigated Echelon for more than a year just last week reported its belief that the system does exist. The EU committee said that Echelon sucks up electronic transmissions "like a vacuum cleaner," using keyword search techniques to sift through enormous amounts of data.

The FAZ, in its news story, described the system as covering the whole world with 120 satellites. The newspaper also said Israeli intelligence had collected information indicated that Arab terrorist groups planned to hijack planes in Europe to use as weapons to attack targets in Tel Aviv and other coastal cities in Israel. Because of increasing concerns of plane hijackings, Israel has tested a new x-ray machine at the Tel Aviv airport, the FAZ said. The machine capable of detecting all known explosive elements, even if only in small quantities, the newspaper said. The FAZ said that German intelligence fears that in coming days planes will be hijacked in Europe and the Near East, and that there is no sure way to protect against it. Why Were So Few People on the Flights?

1) Flight 11 was a Boeing 757/200. This plane holds 239 passengers. There were 81 passengers and 11 crew. The 11 crew members included 2 pilots and 9 flight attendants. Is it normal that this flight would not be at capacity, based on other Flight 11's that leave Boston to LA, at the same time every day. Flights within the Airline industry operate on standardized schedule. They don't make the schedules after the passengers book the flights. The only days that they schedule deviate are Saturdays and Sundays and holidays. So, is it customary that this flight is so underbooked? (About 30% capacity) I flew out west from Florida about three months ago, and every flight I got on was either full or overbooked.

2) Same question of all the flights. #175 had 54 passengers. The Pentagon plane (#77) had 56 passengers, and the PA flight 38. All less than 25% of capacity. Why? I don't have access to the files of AA or United, but some reporter should be able to find out this information. [Fewer people, easier to control the situation. And the less likely that something could go wrong, maybe? I'm just speculating, of course. I don't know, and I don't have access to AA or United archives and files.] The Air Force Could Have Averted the Tragedy But Didn't.

3) Four planes at once with no transponder info on the FAA screens and Air Force screens. All of them just showing up as blips on radar. One plane is in a "NO FLY ZONE";.. within constantly monitored, restricted airspace. A pilot has already remarked that when a plane deviates just a little, that the FAA oversight will call and/or allow for course corrections. But, we are talking about planes that were miles off course. In these instances, the FAA reports it to the Air Force. But also, in these instances, the Air Force has already locked onto these planes, because they monitor the commercial system as well as their own. That's 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. They have to, so that we don't have military and commercial aircraft flying into one another, constantly. In a circumstance like Flight 11, this plane is so far of course it is ridiculous and they are not responding normally to communications. They did a hard bank (90 degrees to the south) somewhere north of Albany, NY. The Air Force is to scramble at least a recon aircraft to monitor. Why no recon, on any of the first three flights? Let's look at the second plane. It was 18 minutes until it hit the second building. This plane flew over NYC, past the city and went to somewhere around Newark, NJ. At that point it did a 360 degree bank to fly back to NYC. By this time "they" know that this is no accident happening. They know that they have hijacked planes in the air. An F-15 strike eagle flies at 1850+ nmps. That is Mach 2.5+ A sidewinder with heat seeking infrared guidance, has a range of 18 miles. This aircraft, according to the USAF's own website, goes from "scramble order" to 29000 feet in 2.5 minutes. New York City is 71 miles from McGuire AFB in NJ and 147 from Westover AFB in MA. At Mach 2, this plane could travel from the ground in NJ to NYC, in under 7 minutes. I am being generous. Mach 2 is 20+ miles per minute and Mach 2.5 is 30+ miles per minute. This is 150 to 210 seconds to cover the 71 miles. If we factor in the time for the scramble order, to being in the air; we are at 5 to 6 minutes for an F-15 to bypass flight 175, turn, and sit at the WTC to wait for the plane (175) to arrive. This is far less than 18 minutes, and this plane (175) had to fly back over the Hudson Bay to reach its target. (Remember the range of the sidewinder is over 10 miles. Is it even necessary to mention the speed of this missile?) The Plane Hitting the Pentagon Could Have Been Stopped But Wasn't---Why?

4) Let's apply these same standards to the Pentagon plane #77. This plane is over restricted airspace. It is 40 minutes after the second attack in NYC. At some point, here, Barbara Olsen calls her husband to let him know the plane is hijacked. Mr. Olsen calls "officials" who claim that they don't know about Flight 77 being hijacked. Barbara Olsen makes a second phone call to her husband. Other passengers were FORCED TO CALL their families to tell them that they were going to die. Why would the hijackers put out this warning? This plane flies over the White House, which has automatic turret style anti-defense weaponry on top of the building. NO shots are reported to be fired, no anti-aircraft missiles were fired. This plane, still in restricted airspace, does a 270 degree bank to turn around and fly toward to Pentagon. Andrews AFB is 13 miles away. This is already within the range of a sidewinder. All that is required is to put the plane in the air (maybe up to 3000 ft.), lock and fire. Remember it is 40 minutes and they already know that these planes are being used as weapons. They have been reporting it on ABC, CBS, and NBC for 30+ minutes. They have received phone calls from passengers, telling them that the plane is hijacked. (By the way, what time were these cell-calls made? Before or after they entered the "no fly zone"?)

These planes could have been knocked out of the sky EASILY, but weren't. Why?

There have been several reports on the news that after the plane crashes there were several "explosions" inside the building at lower levels. One (or more) eyewitness reported hearing a series of at least about "five" explosions "boom, boom, boom, boom, boom,..." in at least one of the buildings just before it came down. I did a little research on the construction of the twin towers... it seems the structures were supported by an approximately 100 x 100 foot square (79ft x 139ft) concrete and steel column running up the center of each building. The scenario that the "heat" from jet fuel "melted" this central support column within minutes seems unlikely to me for various reasons.

#1 The central support collapsed very suddenly and totally going into what has been described as "free fall". This is exactly what would be expected if the central support column were demolished with explosives but not what you would see with a so-called gradual "melting" from top to bottom as the building burned.

#2 Heat rises.... How could the fires at the tops of the buildings "melt" the support column composed of concrete and steel very far below the point at which the towers were struck, if at all?

#3 The building has (had) an internal fire safety feature that automatically seals (sealed) off various sections and levels of the building subject to fire, cutting off the air supply.

#4 Visually... it appeared that after the initial impact and explosion of yet fuel mostly OUTSIDE THE BUILDING... (and on a few floors inside where windows were broken). There was a great deal of smoke but relatively little flame and certainly no major inferno at lower levels INSIDE. in fact people were seen not very far below the point of impact hanging out of windows trying to escape the (smoke?)... but apparently alive and not subject to the thousands of degrees temperature that could have melted steel (and concrete?). At lower levels it has been reported by some survivors that they were inside watching the events (plane crashes) on TV when they decided it was time to get out... Again they had no indication of fire at these lower levels that could have "melted" anything.

#5 I am no demolitions expert by any means but having grown up in a family of contractors and builders I do have lifelong construction and some demolition experience. The explanation provided to the public that the buildings sudden collapses were due to the "melting" of the supporting steel makes about as much sense as saying that a candle could suddenly "collapse" from "melting" due to the flame at the top.

#6 The supporting columns of concrete and steel were sunk into groves cut into solid bedrock far below ground level. It makes more sense to me to say that it would have taken a considerable amount of well placed explosive to demolish this structure and send it into "free fall" than to say that it simply "melted" from the heat of the jet fuel burning (or smoldering) at the top of the building.

I think in the very least... whats left of the supporting columns should be examined to see if they were subject to explosives before all the evidence is carted away and disposed of somewhere. I am not trying to develop a government conspiracy theory here. Whoever did this had a long time to plan it and possibly set bombs inside the building. I am not by any means anti-democratic or anti-American. But the demolition by bombs inside the building seems credible and obvious as an explanation as to why the two buildings suddenly collapsed. and this is supported by eyewitness accounts of explosions at lower levels as well as the absence of any fire at lower levels capable of "melting" anything.

By contrast, in my opinion, the "melting" theory make little if any sense at all and has little if any evidence to support it. If the supporting structure at or near the point(s) of impact "melted" causing the top of the building(s) to fall several stories and come down... like big wrecking balls.... It seems these section(s) (tops) of the building(s) would have come up against some resistance at some point on the way down when they ran into the un-melted portion of what was left of the 100ft square steel and concrete support column(s)... they didn't... perhaps for the reason that these columns were already destroyed by explosives?

Finally... anyone who saw the buildings come down saw the obvious... it simply LOOKED LIKE a professional demolition job. Why not at least investigate this obvious explaination for what everyone witnessed? If anyone can find a flaw in my logical conclusions and observations... or discrepancies regarding the construction of the towers, fire prevention system etc. I would welcome having my analysis corrected.

War and globalisation go hand in hand, leading, in the post Cold War era, to the destruction of countries and the impoverishment of hundreds of millions of people. In turn, this global economic system is marked by an unprecedented concentration of private wealth. The institutions of war, police repression and economic management interface with one another. NATO is not only in liaison with the Pentagon and the CIA, it also has contacts with the IMF and the World Bank. In turn, the Washington based international financial bureaucracy, responsible for imposing deadly "economic medicine" on developing countries has close ties to the Wall Street financial establishment.

The powers behind this system are those of the global banks and financial institutions, the military-industrial complex, the oil and energy giants, the biotech conglomerates and the powerful media and communications giants, which fabricate the news and overtly distorts the course of world events. In turn, the police apparatus represses, in the name of "Western democracy", all forms of dissent and critique of the dominant neoliberal ideology.

This "false consciousness" which pervades our societies, prevents critical debate and masks the truth. Ultimately, it precludes a collective understanding of the workings of a World economic and political system, which destroys people's lives. The only promise of global capitalism is a World of landless farmers, shuttered factories, jobless workers and gutted social programs with "bitter economic medicine" under the WTO and the IMF constituting the only prescription.

The New World Order is based on the "false consensus" of Washington and Wall Street, which ordains the "free market system" as the only possible choice on the fated road to a "global prosperity". The GRG purports to reveal the truth and disarm the falsehoods conveyed by the controlled corporate media.

Like all Americans, on Tuesday, 9-11, I was shocked and horrified to watch the WTC Twin Towers attacked by hijacked planes and collapse, resulting in the deaths of perhaps up to 10,000 innocent people.

I had not been that shocked and horrified since January 16, 1991, when then President Bush attacked Baghdad, and the rest of Iraq and began killing 200,000 people during that "war" (slaughter). This includes the infamous "highway of death" in the last days of the slaughter when U.S. pilots literally shot in the back retreating Iraqi civilians and conscripted soldiers. I continue to be horrified by the sanctions on Iraq, which have resulted in the death of over 1,000,000 Iraqis, including over 500,000 children, about whom former Secretary of State Madeline Allbright has stated that their deaths "are worth the cost".

Over the course of my life I have been shocked and horrified by a variety of U.S. governmental actions, such as the U.S. sponsored coup against democracy in Guatemala in 1954 which resulted in the deaths of over 120,000 Guatemalan peasants by U.S. installed dictatorships over the course of four decades.

Last Tuesday's events reminded me of the horror I felt when the U.S. overthrew the governments of the Dominican Republic in 1965 and helped to murder 3,000 people. And it reminded me of the shock I felt in 1973, when the U.S. sponsored a coup in Chile against the democratic government of Salvador Allende and helped to murder another 30,000 people, including U.S. citizens.

Last Tuesday's events reminded me of the shock and horror I felt in 1965 when the U.S. sponsored a coup in Indonesia that resulted in the murder of over 800,000 people, and the subsequent slaughter in 1975 of over 250,000 innocent people in East Timor by the Indonesian regime with th direct complicity of President Ford and Secretary of State Henry Kissenger.

I was reminded of the shock and horror I felt during the U.S. sponsored terrorist contra war (the World Court declared the U.S. government a war criminal in 1984 for the mining of the harbors) against Nicaragua in the 1 980s which resulted in the deaths of over 30,000 innocent people (or as the U.S. government used to call them before the term "collateral amage" was invented--"soft targets").

I was reminded of being horrified by the U. S. war against the people of El Salvador in the 1980s, which resulted in the brutal deaths of over 80,000 people, or "soft targets".

I was reminded of the shock and horror I felt during the U.S. sponsored terror war against the peoples of southern Africa (especially Angola) that began in the 1970's and continues to this day and has resulted in the deaths and mutilations of over 1,000,000. I was reminded of the shock and horror I felt as the U.S. invaded Panama over the Christmas season of 1989 and killed over 8,000 in an attempt to capture George H. Bush's CIA partner, now turned enemy, Manual Noriega.

I was reminded of the horror I felt when I learned about how the Shah of Iran was installed in a U.S. sponsored brutal coup that resulted in the deaths of over 70,000 Iranians from 1952-1979. And the continuing shock as I learned that the Ayatollah Khomani, who overthrew the Shah in 1979, and who was the U.S. public enemy for decade of the 1980s, was also on the CIA payroll, while he was in exile in Paris in the 1970s.

I was reminded of the shock and horror that I felt as I learned about how the U.S. has "manufactured consent" since 1948 for its support of Israel, to the exclusion of virtually any rights for the Palestinians in their native lands resulting in ever worsening day-to-day conditions for the people of Palestine. I was shocked as I learned about the hundreds of towns and villages that were literally wiped off the face of the earth in the early days of Israeli colonization. I was horrified in 1982 as the villagers of Sabra and Shatila were massacred by Israeli >allies with direct Israeli complicity and direction. The untold thousands who died on that day match the scene of horror that we saw last Tuesday. But those scenes were not repeated over and over again on the national media to inflame the American public.

The events and images of last Tuesday have been appropriately compared to the horrific events and images of Lebanon in the 1980s with resulted in the deaths of tens of thousand of people, with no reference to the fact that the country that inflicted the terror on Lebanon was Israel, with U.S. backing. I still continue to be shocked at how mainstream commentators refer to "Israeli settlers" in the "occupied territories" with no sense of irony as they report on who are the aggressors in the region.

Of course, the largest and most shocking war crime of the second half of the 20th century was the U.S. assault on Indochina from 1954-1975, especially Vietnam, where over 4,000,000 people were bombed, napalmed, crushed, shot and individually "hands on" murdered in the "Phoenix Program" (this is where Oliver North got his start). Many U.S. Vietnam veterans were also victimized by this war and had the best of intentions, but the policy makers themselves knew the criminality of their actions and policies as revealed in their own words in "The Pentagon Papers," released by Daniel Ellsberg of the RAND Corporation. In 1974 Ellsberg noted that our Presidents from Truman to Nixon continually lied to the U.S. public about the purpose and conduct of the war. He has stated that, "It is a tribute to the American people that our leaders perceived that they had to lie to us, it is not a tribute to us that we were so easily misled."

I was continually shocked and horrified as the U.S. attacked and bombed with impunity the nation of Libya in the 1980s, including killing the infant daughter of Khadafi. I was shocked as the U.S. bombed and invaded Grenada in 1983. I was horrified by U.S. military and CIA actions in Somalia, Haiti, Afghanistan, Sudan, Brazil, Argentina, and Yugoslavia. The deaths in these actions ran into the hundreds of thousands.

The above list is by no means complete or comprehensive. It is merely a list that is easily accessible and not unknown, especially to the economic and intellectual elites. It has just been conveniently eliminated from the public discourse and public consciousness. And for the most part, the analysis that the U.S. actions have resulted in the deaths of primarily civilians (over 90%) is not unknown to these elites and policy makers. A conservative number for those who have been killed by U.S. terror and military action since World War II is 8,000,000 people. Repeat--8,000,000 people. This does not include the wounded, the imprisoned, the displaced, the refugees, etc. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated in 1967, during the Vietnam War, "My government is the world's leading purveyor of violence." Shocking and horrifying.

Nothing that I have written is meant to disparage or disrespect those who were victims and those who suffered death or the loss of a loved one during this week's events. It is not meant to "justify" any action by those who bombed the Twin Towers or the Pentagon. It is meant to put it in a context. If we believe that the actions were those of "madmen", they are "madmen" who are able to keep a secret for 2 years or more among over 100 people, as they trained to execute a complex plan. While not the acts of madmen, they are apparently the acts of "fanatics" who, depending on who they really are, can find real grievances, but whose actions are illegitimate.

Osama Bin Laden at this point has been accused by the media and the government of being the mastermind of Tuesday's bombings. Given the government's track record on lying to the America people, that should not be accepted as fact at this time. If indeed Bin Laden is the mastermind of this action, he is responsible for the deaths of perhaps 10,000 people-a shocking and horrible crime. Ed Herman in his book The Real Terror Network: Terrorism in Fact and Propaganda does not justify any terrorism but points out that states often engage in "wholesale" terror, while those whom governments define as "terrorist" engage is "retail" terrorism. While qualitatively the results are the same for the individual victims of terrorism, there is a clear quantitative difference. And as Herman and others point out, the seeds, the roots, of much of the "retail" terror are in fact found in the "wholesale" terror of states. Again this is not to justify, in any way, the actions of last Tuesday, but to put them in a context and suggest an explanation.

Perhaps most shocking and horrific, if indeed Bin Laden is the mastermind of Tuesday's actions; he has clearly had significant training in logistics, armaments, and military training, etc. by competent and expert military personnel. And indeed he has. During the 1980s, he was recruited, trained and funded by the CIA in Afghanistan to fight against the Russians. As long as he visited his terror on Russians and his enemies in Afghanistan, he was "our man" in that country.

The same is true of Saddam Hussein of Iraq, who was a CIA asset in Iraq during the 1980s. Hussein could gas his own people, repress the population, and invade his neighbor (Iran) as long as he did it with U.S. approval.

The same was true of Manuel Noriega of Panama, who was a contemporary and CIA partner of George H. Bush in the 1980s. Noriega's main crime for Bush, the father, was not that he dealt drugs (he did, but the U.S. and Bush knew this before 1989), but that Noriega was no longer going to cooperate in the ongoing U.S. terrorist contra war against Nicaragua. This information is not unknown or really controversial among elite policy makers. To repeat, this not to justify any of the actions of last Tuesday, but to put it in its horrifying context.

As shocking as the events of last Tuesday were, they are likely to generate even more horrific actions by the U.S. government that will add significantly to the 8,000,000 figure stated above. This response may well be qualitatively and quantitatively worst than the events of Tuesday. The New York Times headline of 9/14/01 states that, "Bush AndTop Aides Proclaim Policy Of Ending States That Back Terror" as if that was a rationale, measured, or even sane option. States that have been identified for possible elimination are "a number of Asian and African countries, like Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, and even Pakistan." This is beyond shocking and horrific-it is just as potentially suicidal, homicidal, and more insane than the hijackers themselves.

Also, qualitatively, these actions will be even worse than the original bombers if one accepts the mainstream premise that those involved are "madmen", "religious fanatics", or a "terrorist group." If so, they are acting as either individuals or as a small group. The U.S. actions may continue the homicidal policies of a few thousand elites for the past 50 years, involving both political parties.

The retail terror is that of desperate and sometime fanatical small groups and individuals who often have legitimate grievances, but engage in individual criminal and illegitimate activities; the wholesale terror is that of "rational" educated men where the pain, suffering, and deaths of millions of people are contemplated, planned, and too often, executed, for the purpose of furthering a nebulous concept called the "national interest". Space does not allow a full explanation of the elites Orwellian concept of the "national interest", but it can be summarized as the protection and expansion of hegemony and an imperial empire.

The American public is being prepared for war while being fed a continuous stream of shocking and horrific repeated images of Tuesday's events and heartfelt stories from the survivors and the loved ones of those who lost family members. These stories are real and should not be diminished. In fact, those who lost family members can be considered a representative sample of humanity of the 8,000,000 who have been lost previously. If we multiply by 800-1000 times the amount of pain, angst, and anger being currently felt by the American public, we might begin to understand how much of the rest of the world feels as they are continually victimized.

Some particularly poignant images are the heart wrenching public stories that we are seeing and hearing of family members with pictures and flyers searching for their loved ones. These images are virtually the same as those of the "Mothers of the Disappeared" who searched for their (primarily) adult children in places such as Argentina, where over 11,000 were "disappeared" in 1976-1982, again with U.S. approval. Just as the mothers of Argentina deserved our respect and compassion, so do the relatives of those who are searching for their relatives now. However we should not allow ourselves to be manipulated by the media and U.S. government into turning real grief and anger into a national policy of wholesale terror and genocide against innocent civilians in Asia and Africa. What we are seeing in military terms is called "softening the target." The target here is the American public and we are being ideologically and emotionally prepared for the slaughter that may commence soon.

None of the previously identified Asian and African countries are democracies, which means that the people of these countries have virtually no impact on developing the policies of their governments, even if we assume that these governments are complicit in Tuesday'sactions. When one examines the recent history of these countries, one will find that the American government had direct and indirect influences on creating the conditions for the existence of some of these governments. This is especially true of the Taliban government ofAfghanistan itself.

The New York Metropolitan Area has about 21,000,000 people or about 8 % of the U.S. population. Almost everyone in America knows someone who has been killed, injured or traumatized by the events of Tuesday. I know that I do. Many people are calling for "revenge" or "vengeance" and comments such as "kill them all" have been circulated on the TV, radio, and email. A few more potentially benign comments have called "justice." This is only potentially benign since that term may be defined by people such as Bush and Colin Powell. Powell is an unrepentant participant in the Vietnam War, the terrorist contra war against Nicaragua, and the Gulf war, at each level becoming more responsible for the planning and execution of the policies.

Those affected, all of us, must do everything in our power to prevent a wider war and even greater atrocity, do everything possible to stop the genocide if it starts, and hold those responsible for their potential war crimes during and after the war. If there is a great war in 2001 and it is not catastrophic (a real possibility), the crimes of that war will be revisited upon the U.S. over the next generation. That is not some kind of religious prophecy or threat, it is merely a straightforward political analysis. If indeed it is Bin Laden, the world must not deal only with him as an individual criminal, but eliminate the conditions that create the injustices and war crimes that will inevitably lead to more of these types of attacks in the future. The phrase "No Justice, No Peace" is more than a slogan used in a march, it is an observable historical fact. It is time to end the horror.

The many suspicious aspects of the events (as involving a lot more than just "arab terrorists") are being blatantly ignored (4). ... as if all Americans have become movie addicts ready to gobble up any new Hollywood or Washington "drama". Did the "chemtrails" rob us from our normal will power? Can we still think for ourselves and use discrimination... or are we sinking deeper and deeper into the blissful oblivion of believing the mass-media and their subliminals (5)... and giving our civil liberties over to FEMA and super-FEMA (NHSA)? ARE we seeing again another set-up to rouse the American and international public into an instinctual national-ego response and thus get support to proceed with a pre-planned agenda of war, greed & domination?... leading us deep into WWIII (6)?

What Happened to our Proclaimed Ideals? HAVE we entirely forgotten the insights & ideals of "universal good will" that inspired our Founding Fathers (and Mothers!) and our entire civilization? Have the Declaration of Independence and the Charter of the United Nations become disposable wall-paper in contemporary commodity-oriented America? ARE we now, in the name of the holy stock-market, "free trade" & "American business interests", condoning foreign policies that apply double standards and treat "others" & Mother Nature in ways we would never accept to be treated ourselves? Is war-murder-destruction okay and "politically desirable" in foreign countries but shockingly taboo at home? WHY exactly are we, worldwide, extensively training "special forces" and "intelligence agents", funding known "terrorist" governments and groups, while, smilingly, grossing untold billions in arms (and drugs) business? (7). DO we REALLY still believe that human beings all over the earth, no matter their looks, are our "brothers & sisters"? Be honnest! Or are they just remote "data" on computer screens and amusing dolls when we go on exotic safaris? DO we still SEE that we ALL share this jewel of a planet? Are we really taking that into account in our daily life, actions, thoughts & prayers?

ARE we living a proxy life, totally cut off from our cosmic roots and crowns. And fearfully removing ourselves from direct contact with Life as "others" and "Nature"? ARE we increasingly shying away from personal relationships with our friends, partners, spouses, kids, neighbors and "strangers"? Setting ourselves up in an alienated, schizophrenic but "safe" mindscape "tower" (9) -yet bitterly ranting about being lonely? ARE we living a gigantic lie, instead of living Life? IS that the true destiny of America? -the down side of the coin?

ARE we going to sheepishly give thanks for being micro-chipped, tracked down in every move & thought, fed sterile GMO, "sweet" aspartame & "irradiated" meals, prescribed expensive drugs with multiple "side-effects", given the "creative" option of "designer babies" who will be members of the elite-race club, and, in our holy moments, be submerged in 3D proxy thrillers? All that while driving shiny gas-guzzling credit-bought SUVs with GPS computers? And listening to the "inner voice" of xth generation cell-phones? ARE we realizing the full impact, for this and coming generations, of the"corporate future" dangled in front of us as the next step in human "happiness and progress"?

Urgent Call for a Politics of Global Sharing:

ISN'T IT high time to stop being the fat & blind-folded "share-holders" the world is laughing at and lashing at? Giving carte blanche to the purposely remote & fuzzy complex of mega-corporations agendas - intelligence agencies operations - governmental policies... that want to exploit the world for the benefit of the few? ISN'T IT high time to stop this complacent attitude of: "Oh, we just get the interests and play gambling with the stocks - BUT we are not involved whatsoever with the decisions..." ISN'T TRUE that NO share-holder wants to REALLY know HOW they get their potential dividends, by which tortuous and roughless routes the money is reaped or lost ...? and what might be the unreported dire effects and human toll of this mega-business that has the means and intent to be "above the rules"... DO YOU KNOW (or care?) about the World Bank & multinationals pushing, worldwide, for the privatisation of WATER? To the point that, in 1999, small farmers in Cochambamba, Bolivia, had to buy permits (and pay San-Francisco based Bechtel) to gather rainwater on their own property? (10). When are the "global powers" going to charge for "re-conditioned AIR"? DO YOU KNOW that a US Baby Foods Corporation has successfully used the World Trade Organisation to suppress a Guatemalan law that encouraged mothers to breastfeed their babies? Their claims: "Expropriation of trademark" and, of course, competition with their "products" (11). DO YOU KNOW that, during the Gulf War, the US and British / UN forces used 350 tons of "depleted uranium laced bullets" that become radioactive upon impact? (12). ISN'T IT high time to stop on this deadly track and reverse gears before the ever-increasing gap between the "wealthy" and the "have-nots" tips this planet over? Before the last drop of oil-blood is drained from Mother Earth and the last parcel of wilderness is raped? OR, are "tactical nuclear heads" and "ethnically specific bio-weapons" going to bring the message of total silence to the majorities grumbling at the G-8s? ISN'T IT urgent to open our eyes wide and clear and SHARE responsibilities, instead of raking in political & financial interests? To WAKE UP as the Human Family? "One man's gift must not become another's capital." (Tribal Wisdom) DOESN'T IT make pressing sense that, if we benefit from the world, we also need to contribute to it in equal if not larger shares? DO YOU REALIZE the blasphemous, insulting and arrogant nature of the initial code-name publicized by the Pentagon for the "War on Terrorism": Infinite Justice!!! (13) SHARING... is the only way to taste INFINITE JUSTICE!

Let us judge our success by what we GIVE, without scheming a return. WE NEED TO LEARN (or re-learn) the Golden Rule : how to approach and practice Global Love for each other, on the planetary & galactic scales. We need to re-learn how to dialogue to the "other", no matter what their beliefs & life-styles may be, listen to them with true friendly "interest" and find out their needs & wants & gifts.

How can we be of service to other ourselves? HOW CAN WE, as stewards of this magnificent world-garden, do (or undo) whatever is necessary to ensure the full manifestation of Justice, Equality and Freedom for all? Je kunt idd moeilijk mensen aanvallen op deze fouten aangezien NIEMAND op tijd en de juiste beslissing zou hebben genomen!
Wat betreft het instorten van het WTC, verschillende architechten en ingenieurs hebben gezegd dat ze verbaasd waren dat het gebouw zolang overeind is gebleven!

Daarnaast spreekt de auteur de lezer persoonlijk aan door min of meer te zeggen:"wij lopen met onze mobiele telefoons over straat, zelfs onze kinderen hebben een gsm, wij verrijken ons middels speculeren op de beurs, wij nemen alles voor lief en vinden het de normaalste zaak van de wereld dat wij dit doen, kan het ons echt iets schelen dat onderwijl wij piekeren of we toch niet beter een blauwe Nokia hadden genomen ipv de rode, of eigenlijk had een ander model ons van meer gemakken voorzien gezien de oplaadtijd etc. etc., er elders mensen sterven van de honger, kinderen op straat liggen ziek of beschadigd door militaire acties, en juist omdat wij er vrijwel nimmer bij stilstaan het niet eens tijd wordt dat we dat wel doen, gerechtigheid is profiteren van hetgeen de wereld ons te bieden heeft en de wil om dit te delen met anderen.

En ik vind dat we NU leven, niet in het verleden, als we zo blijven redeneren is er altijd wel een vingerwijzing bij elke gebeurtenis want ja niemand is zonder zonde. Al sie achterdoxht leidt tot waanzinnige theorieen, niet gespekt van enig realisme maar alleen het net zo dipe graven totdat er een mogelijk foutje wordt geconstateerd. Dat Amerika fouten heeft gemaakt is wel duidelijk anders waren deze aanslagen nooit gebeurd. Dat Amerika de situatie onderschat is ook duidelijk. In de huidige westerse wereld willen we transparant beleid, alles moet openbaar, elk minitieus detail moet bekend zijn maar terwijl men over de details discussieert verliest men de big picture
