From their inception only a year ago, Imaginary Baseball League have played a slew of shows, garnered critical praise in major Nashville entertainment publications, and have already begun work on a 2nd self-released recording. Their first record, The Letter EP, released just this February, is a 6-song schizophrenic introduction to the band’s varied musical ideas and interests.
The band, comprised of singer/songwriter Aaron Robinson, guitarist/keyboardist Keith Childrey, drummer Ryan Rayborn, and bassist Ben Evans, all came to know each other, in one way or another, through school. They quickly discovered that they all shared a mutual interest in college radio’s defiance of music industry rules, while maintaining a strong appreciation for great pop artists and songs. This mix is displayed on the debut EP.
With this first attempt at making a record, Imaginary Baseball League have learned from their few mistakes and are poised to burst onto the national scene with an East Coast/Midwest mini-tour in May, and the already-in-the-works follow-up record to be released soon thereafter.
