Fabrika Automobila Priboj na Limu built medium-weight Austrian Saurer trucks under licence from 1951. Originally these were of normal-control layout but forward-control models were added to the range.
Power units included Perkins and Leyland as well as locally built Famos diesels. From 1972 FAP's licence agreement with Saurer was replaced by an agreement with Daimler-Benz AG and subsequent vehicles, which include heavy-duty FAP-Famos 6x6 and 8x8 trucks, have featured Mercedes cabs.
