Jude Law has broken a whole load of hearts in favour of sharing his life with girlfriend Sienna Miller after proposing to her on Christmas Day.

Sienna's Christmas presents included a big sparkly number after Jude spent months planning the romantic moment - and his ex-wife Sadie Frost is "delighted".

The 32-year-old British actor popped the question to 23-year-old Sienna, who immediately said yes, the following day they went off on holiday to the Seychelles where Jude revealed his marriage plans to his kids.

A spokeswoman for the couple has confirmed the engagement and said the youngsters were delighted with their father's plan.

"It's true they are engaged. Jude bought Sienna a big cluster diamond ring," said Ciara Parks.

"They've told their families the news and they're thrilled, as are Jude's kids. They love Sienna and can't wait for the wedding.

"No date has been set, that will depend on their filming schedules."

The news was greeted graciously by Sadie Frost, who was married to Jude for six years and had 3 kids with him:

"I'm delighted for Jude and Sienna and wish them all the best for the future," Sadie told The Sun, despite the fact they're still thrashing out the details of their £10million divorce.

Jude and Sienna met on the set of Alfie and began dating in October 2003 - nine months after his split from Sadie.

After he started seeing Layer Cake star Sienna, he said of her: "I just hadn't seen anything like it. I think she's extraordinary."
