Komen er nog RPG'tjes voor uit binnenkort? Wil de samenhang tussen de twee schermen wel eens zien met al die menu's. Lijkt me echt ideaal voor al die spellen...had FF: CC ook moeten hebben.
Oeehhw de Multiplayer zal 100% gebru9ik maken van de touch screenquote:Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, today announced Rayman® DS as an official launch title in Europe for the upcoming release of the Nintendo DS™ system in 2005.
“We’re really excited to deliver three fun, original and very different titles on the new Nintendo DS handheld video game system, when it launches next year. Besides the delay with the US launch will allow us to bring new content to Rayman, one of the group’s biggest franchise”, said John Parkes, EMEA Marketing Director at Ubisoft. “The Nintendo DS will be a unique handheld machine with never-seen before capabilities and we’re thrilled to develop such innovative titles on this new console.”
Rayman, one of the most recognizable video game characters around the world, arrives for the first time in full 3D glory on a handheld as he battles to defeat the pirate terror that has enslaved his world. Rayman DS is poised to repeat the successful performance of its predecessor, Rayman® Advance, which was among the top-ten selling launch titles for the Game Boy AdvanceTM system in 2001. Furthermore the European version of Rayman DS will include a multiplayer feature and will take full advantage of the touch-screen technology.
quote:The DS on a Whole
The Nintendo DS is a reasonable handheld system. Its main attractions, the dual screen setup with the second being a touch screen, work really well with software that's thoughtfully developed for it. In other cases though, it's simply a quick feature that can be easily forgotten. The networking works well, though the lack of a cross-content searchable user list leaves it a fair bit shy of perfection.
When it comes down to it though, any console or handheld system is only worth its weight in features if the games for said systems are worthy of playing. In the case of the Nintendo DS launch list, well, we suppose whether that's worth it or not is a matter of opinion.

quote:Throughout the life of the DS, we’re going to see games on the horizon that literally could not be done on any other system. Some of them may be terrible games anyway. Some of them may be awesome and help us appreciate the DS that much more. Many other games will come along that could be done, with minor modifications, on PSP or GBA. Did it bother us when Nintendo released Metroid Prime, a game that doesn't use any of the GameCube's unique hardware features and, truth be told, probably could have been pulled off on Xbox or the PC? No, we don’t care that it could have been released on another system; we are satisfied that it is being released on Nintendo’s system. That’s the attitude we should adopt for the many Nintendo DS games that will be incredibly fun but won’t use the system’s unique features to any great effect.

quote:Dear Valued customer,
Thank you for emailing us with regard to your Nintendo DS order.
At this time the supply of Nintendo DS handhelds is extremely constrained to say the least. This constraint means that there is not enough supply of Nintendo DS handhelds to keep up with the current demand in the North American market place.
All North American retailers of this product did not receive enough Nintendo DS handhelds on release to meet their demand. The unfortunate result of this tight supply is that we will not be able to fill all of our orders in a short period of time.
At DVD Box Office we are committed to filling all of our orders on a first come first served basis and this does not change for the Nintendo DS. Our hope is that Nintendo will be able to ramp up supply as soon as possible so we can fill all of our orders in a timely fashion. At this time we are shipping as many Nintendo DS handhelds that we can get our hands on.
We will email you as soon as your order is invoiced and shipped out from our warehouse.
At this time we cannot estimate when all of our orders will be filled as Nintendo has not informed us with an exact time frame on when they will have enough handhelds to meet the current demand.
We are sorry about the delay in shipping your order and thank you for your patience. Please feel free to email us anytime if you have any further comments or questions.
