Er is een cross-browser alternatief beschikbaar, (Nouja, hij werkt in ieder geval in IE en Mozilla.) Midas, maar ik denk dat je kunt wachten tot je een ons weegt voordat Microsoft die implementeert.

Check logfile van je virusscanner eens en dan ook meteen de quarantaine van het ding.
Het zou kunnen zijn dat hij de boel in quarantaine heeft gegooid omdat hij het virusmailtje heeft gezien.
Als je een virusmailtje verwijderd moet je wel "compact folder" doen om er zeker van te zijn dat het totaal weg is. Nou is compact folder zowiezo aan te raden ivm performance.

In een command shell "thunderbird /P" intikken (in de directory waar Thunderbird.exe staat). Dan moet je je oude profiel weer kunnen selecteren...

Start - Uitvoeren (of Run bij Engelse versie) - "cmd" (of command bij oudere Windowsversies)

Dan door middel van de commando's "CD .." en "CD %DIRECTORYNAAM%" navigeren naar de Thunderbird directory. Daar Tunderbird opstarten met "Thunderbird /P"
