Blizzard has announced that its much-anticipated stealth-action title Starcraft: Ghost will not be released this fall as originally planned. In order to "expand and evolve" the design of the game, the company has increased development time, pushing its release to an unknown date -- though it is now quite unlikely the game will arrive in 2004.
"We are very committed to StarCraft: Ghost as a major part of our lineup," stated Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment president and co-founder. "As a result, we plan to build additional time into the schedule to polish the game until it meets the high standards that our customers have come to expect from Blizzard products. We are sorry to disappoint players with a delayed launch but are confident that we will deliver a great game with the additional development time."
Blizzard says that information on new features being added, as well as a revised release date, will be announced shortly.
While this is disappointing news for the many who have been anticipating Ghost, we can hardly take issue with a developer not wanting to rush a title before it's ready. Given Blizzard's impeccable track record of polished design and terrific game play, we're happy to see the company taking the time to make Ghost as great as possible.
We'll bring you more news on the title as soon as it comes in. Stay tuned.

Overigens ben ik geen Mario Party speler.. meer een MarioKarter, en FF:CC'er.. Maar ach. Ik kan goed tegen mijn verlies. Soms.
