Na een spannende eerste, tweede en derde ronde zijn er nu 32 films over.
Het zijn 32 zeer uiteenlopende films. Van Bird tot Duck soup, van Annie tot Tommy, van alles zit erbij. Wat deze films met elkaar gemeen hebben, is dat muziek er een belangrijke rol in speelt. Het hoofdpersonage is muzikant, dj of popjournalist; er wordt gezongen of gedanst in de film; of de film is simpelweg een musical.
Kortom: een film is een muziekfilm als er méér muziek in voorkomt dan alleen de achtergrondmuziek.
Maar welke van deze muzikale films is nou de beste, mooiste, leukste, ontroerendste, meeslependste, swingendste? Daar hopen we via dit tournament achter te komen
Hoe werkt het?
Ook in deze vierde ronde zijn de films weer geheel random per twee tegenover elkaar gezet (A vs B). Je mag (moet) er daarvan één kiezen, dus óf A óf B.
Er blijven uiteindelijk 16 films over, van elk van de 32 koppels één, die door mogen naar de volgende ronde. Bij gelijkspel volgt een shoot-out.
Hoe stem ik?
Quote de eerstvolgende post en maak de film van je keuze vet, óf haal de film weg waarop je niet stemt.
Het is de bedoeling dat je alléén op een koppel stemt als je beide films kent. Je kunt immers niet zeggen dat je een bepaalde film de beste van de twee vindt als je zijn tegenstander nooit gezien hebt!
Deze regel kan niemand controleren natuurlijk, dus wees sportief.
Trouwe stemmers worden beloond
In hoe meer rondes je meedoet, hoe zwaarder je stem gaat tellen. De stemmen van mensen die ook in de vorige drie rondes hebben gestemd, tellen nu dus voor vier. Als je vanaf ronde één trouw elke keer stemt, dan weegt jouw stem in de finale acht keer zo zwaar als de stem van iemand die dan voor het eerst meedoet!

Tot hoe lang kan ik meedoen?
Deze vierde ronde blijft nog wel een week of twee open; minstens tot dinsdag 29 juni. Het kan ook gebeuren dat ik 'm eerder sluit, bijvoorbeeld als er gedurende vier etmalen niet meer gestemd is.
Ik wil trouwens even van de gelegenheid gebruikmaken om alle deelnemers sterkte te wensen. Hoe verder we in het toernooi komen, hoe meer matige films eruit zijn gekegeld en hoe meer toppers er overblijven. In de onderstaande loting ben ik zelf al menig tweetal tegengekomen waarvan het gewoon pijn doet om er één te moeten kiezen. En dat zal wel voor meer mensen gelden. Succes dus!

Ik heb de films allemaal gezien, maar deze duo's zijn in mijn ogen de belangrijkste.
Tommy en The Wall zijn beroerd tegen elkaar geplaatst. Net de twe beste films uit de lijst. Amadeus past er naar mijn idee toch niet helemaal tussen (ondanks dat muziek natuurlijk wel het onderwerp is) en daarom heb ik voor Hair gekozen!

Maar ik wil er ook wel iets over kwijt. Persoonlijk heb ik de eerste keer erg genoten van South Park. Ik heb van begin tot eind in een lachstuip gelegen en de liedjes zijn idd geweldig. De tweede keer moest ik al wat minder hard lachen. De grappen kende ik al en de verwijzingen naar andere films had ik allemaal wel door. De derde en vierde keer keek ik eigenlijk alleen maar met anderen die 'm nog niet gezien hadden.
Tim Burton's Nightmare daarentegen, die moet het minder van het shockeffect hebben, maar meer van de liefde en vakmanschap waarmee het gemaakt is. De film is als film beter, vollediger en tijdlozer.
Kunnen de twijfelaars mooi nog even stemmen!

Grote winnaar is Saturday Night Fever, met niet alleen absoluut het hoogste aantal punten (50), maar ook het grootste verschil met de tegenstander, namelijk 50-0 tegen The Wedding Singer! (Deze film is tevens de enige die geen enkel punt heeft gehaald.)
Gedoodverfde favoriet This is Spinal Tap is uiteraard door (38-18 tegen Mary Poppins), maar heeft nou ook weer niet zo moeiteloos gewonnen als je zou verwachten.
Ook opvallend is dat South Park, dat met name ronde 2 en 3 glansrijk heeft doorstaan, eruit ligt! The Nightmare Before Christmas bleek toch sterker, en een paar posts hierboven zet ik mijn persoonlijke mening over deze kwestie uiteen.
Maar het verbazendst van al is dat The Blues Brothers niet zonder meer verder gaat! Grease bleek een ijzersterke tegenstander, en de shoot-out zal moeten uitmaken welke van deze twee toppers de vijfde ronde haalt.

Hoe vermakelijk ik de Blues Brothers ook vind, en misschien is de muziek wel stukken beter, toch kies ik voor Grease, omdat ik daar nu eenmaal eindeloos naar kan blijven kijken. Hopelessly devoted to youuuuuuuu
Half uur is wel heel erg kort. Maakt niet uit, Grease is door!

maar the BB zijn toch echt wel een stuk cooler 
Maar idd, lastige lotingen hou je altijd, zeker naarmate een toernooi vordert.
In de huidige ronde bijvoorbeeld staan 24 Hour Party People en Priscilla tegenover elkaar!
Dat zijn nota bene twee van de drie films (Hedwig and the Angry Inch is de derde) die mij hebben geïnspireerd om dit tournament überhaupt op te starten!
Het was voor mij uiteraard makkelijk geweest om stiekem even opnieuw te loten, maar dat doen we dus niet he.
