Het laatste nieuws rondom de rechtszaak is dat Jackson zijn juridische team heeft gewijzigd en voormalige advocaten Geragos en Braffman heeft vervangen door Tom Mesereau.
Tom Mesereau has very high ethics. He is a total professional and not like a showman like Geragos. I've heard things here in Los Angeles that Geregos isn't that great of an attorney. Mr. Mesereau does alot of pro bono cases for the African-American community here in Los Angeles. He doesn't like people being railroaded and intimidated by the "so called law." After seeing him in action on the Blake case Mesereau will not leave any stone unturned. Michael Jackson is lucky that he became available. I don't know if MJ did the stuff he's accused of or not but in my book a person is innocent until proven guilty.

Michael Jackson's new legal team has directed a private security company to protect the pop star at his arraignment on Friday, rather than the Nation of Islam.
The decision to replace the activist group was made at the direction of Mr. Jackson's new lead lawyer Thomas A. Mesereau, sources close to the defense said Tuesday.
The Nation of Islam has provided security for the entertainer at least since his arrest in November, and was scheduled to meet with the Santa Maria police today to coordinate plans for the Friday's hearing.
Mr. Jackson dropped former lead lawyer Mark Geragos and co-counsel Benjamin Brafman on Sunday, saying they had not given him their full attention.
The shake-up this week -- on the legal and security teams -- may be a sign that Mr. Jackson is changing more than his lawyers.
"I think you will see less glitz and more law," said Laurie Levenson, professor at Loyola School of Law. "I think there's a major shift in the tone of the defense -- a move toward turning down the controversial aspects of the case and getting focused on what is necessary to win."
Legal experts say the security change was a wise move.
"Image-wise, it's smarter for the defense to use private security rather than the Nation of Islam," Ms. Levenson said. "They're a fairly divisive and sometimes inflammatory group. It could be Mesereau came in and said, 'Look, we're going to do this the right way now. Let's start anew with a very professional and controlled image.' "
"I think it will be a much more low-key court appearance," Mr. Cole said.
There will likely be a difference in attorney style as well.
"Very basically, (Mesereau) is not interested in having the spotlight put on him in terms of television time or anything else," Mr. Cole said. "His focus will be on the case. . . . That's what he did in the Robert Blake case and I would not expect anything different."

Memo details personal investigation by the DA
Documents have been viewed by ABCNEWS that fuel widely believed rumours that Santa Barbara District Attorney Tom Sneddon has a personal vendetta against Michael Jackson.
Many believe that Sneddon bares his grudge against the King of Pop due to his lack of conviction in the case more than a decade ago.
Within the documents viewed was a memo, apparently written by Sneddon himself, from last November which bares his name and details that he in fact personally took on parts of the investigation that were usually handled by police investigators or junior prosecutors.
A startling fact that was raised within the memo was that Sneddon met the Mother of the Accuser alone on more than one occasion. They met in places like parking lots, behind buildings.
Sneddon also apparently took photos of an office belonging to a private investigator working for Michael, as well as have stakeouts, all of which he did alone.

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - With a nod of his head, Michael Jackson (news) pleaded not guilty Friday to a grand jury indictment that expanded the child molestation case against him to include a conspiracy count involving allegations of child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion.
"Is that your plea?" Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville asked Jackson after the pop star's lawyer stood and said he was entering the plea on his client's behalf.
Jackson, sitting quietly, nodded in agreement.
His mood appeared subdued as he entered court dressed in a relatively conservative outfit of a dark jacket with a gold crest on its pocket, a red armband, a red tie and dark trousers with gold stripes on each side. Fans filling half the courtroom obeyed an edict to remain quiet.
The judge softly and methodically read the counts of the indictment, which supersedes charges filed by Santa Barbara County prosecutors late last year.
The first one was a dramatic new count — conspiracy, alleging 28 individual overt acts involving child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion. The indictment was released with the names of alleged coconspirators deleted. It also said there were "other uncharged coconspirators and coconspirators whose identities are unknown."
Counts two to five alleged Jackson committed a lewd act upon a child. Count six alleged Jackson attempted to have the child commit a lewd or lascivious act upon him. Counts seven to 10 alleged the administering of intoxicating agents to assist in the commission of a felony.
Melville said there were also two "special allegations" that relate to possible sentencing but he did not specify what they were.
Jackson was originally charged with seven counts of lewd or lascivious conduct involving a child under 14 and two counts of administering an intoxicant, reportedly wine, to a child under 14.
Jackson, with his parents and two brothers, and his lawyer, Thomas Mesereau, made brief statements as they left court.
"I would like to thank the fans around the world for your love and support from every corner of the Earth," said Jackson, adding that he loved Santa Maria and its people.
Mesereau praised the judge and community and pledged a dignified defense.
"This case is about one thing only," he said. "It's about the dignity, the integrity, the decency, the honor, the charity, the innocence and the complete vindication of a wonderful human being named Michael Jackson."
The conspiracy count adds a new dimension to the case, since much less has to be proved compared to proving the crime itself — but the resulting punishment can be just as severe, said Dan Simon, an associate professor of law at the University of Southern California.
"If he's found guilty of conspiracy, then he can be punished with the punishment of the entire crime, even if the crime itself has not been fully proved. So it's a powerful tool in the hands of prosecutors, because all you have to prove is an agreement was made to perform the crime," Simon said.
In addition, any coconspirators could strike a deal with prosecutors to testify against Jackson, Simon added.
Simon cautioned that the added charges could backfire if jurors interpret them as signs of excessive zeal on the part of the prosecution.
The crimes allegedly occurred between Feb. 1 and March 31, 2003.
The alleged victim was identified as "John Doe" and a witness to some alleged molestation was identified as "James Doe."
The allegations are believed to involve a boy who appeared on national TV in a British documentary holding hands with Jackson, who said the two had slept in the same bedroom but not the same bed. Jackson defended his sleepovers with children, describing the practice as sweet and innocent.
Jackson co-counsel Steve Cochran said he could not comment on who the alleged coconspirator or coconspirators were because the indictment was sealed and he was under the gag order in the case.
"We have a lot to say and we're going to do our talking in court," he said.
Earlier this month, an attorney representing two former Jackson employees said there was speculation that his clients would be charged with intimidation of witnesses in the case.
Attorney Joseph Tacopina said his clients, Vincent Amen and Frank Tyson, denied the allegations. He did not allow them to testify before the grand jury that indicted Jackson.
Tyson, who was Jackson's personal assistant, has been accused of threatening to kill the younger brother of Jackson's alleged victim if he revealed to authorities that Jackson had given the boy alcohol, Tacopina said.
Amen, who worked for Jackson's production company, was accused of holding the family at Jackson's Neverland estate against its will, he said.
The attorney said the accusations were false.
Tacopina's law office did not immediately respond to a call for comment Friday.
Before the indictment was publicly released, the judge agreed to a prosecution request to delete portions dealing with the conspiracy count. He also agreed with a defense request that parts of three lines be removed.
The judge said the transcripts of the grand jury proceedings would be turned over to attorneys Monday but will remain under seal. He said he will hold a hearing on the sealing May 28.
With an indictment, prosecutors don't have to put on a preliminary hearing in front of the judge to show there is enough evidence to put Jackson on trial.
Santa Maria had taken precautions to prevent a repeat of the scene at Jackson's original arraignment on Jan. 16, when he danced on an SUV as he left in a throng of 3,000 fans. On Friday, the courthouse resembled a fortress with chain-link fences and metal barricades. More than 90 police officers and sheriff's deputies were assigned there.
Jackson, who was scolded by the judge for being late to the January appearance, arrived 40 minutes early on Friday. He waved to several hundred fans as he entered the courtroom under an umbrella.
The size of the crowd was smaller than at his first arraignment, and there was no sign of the Nation of Islam bodyguards who accompanied him then.
When Jackson left the court in an SUV, he rolled down a window several times and blew a kiss to fans. He also flashed a victory sign and a thumbs-up sign. Some fans tried to chase the SUV.
Jackson later released a statement through a spokeswoman, saying "I am completely innocent of these false charges, and I am ready to fight for my innocence. I have complete confidence in my defense team, and believe that at the end of these legal proceedings, I will be fully exonerated by a jury of my peers."
A Web site for Jackson fans encouraged them to show up. A hotel in nearby Solvang gave fans a special rate.
In Los Angeles, about 75 fans boarded a bus for Santa Maria early Friday. They waved signs reading "Caravan for Justice" and "Return of the King," and chanted "What time is it? Jackson time!"
"I'm showing my grandsons there is a way to protest, a way to show your love and a way to show your support," fan Cathy Youngblood said.

Also included in the discussion is info on an original grand juror in the recent case (who ended up not being a juror after the initial selection), and the use of cocaine (the illegal drug) by Sneddon´s Sr. D.A. (Magnacolo) during the same meeting.

Yesterday's news reports about Michael Jackson's unearthed personal belongings were long on innuendo and short on fact. They'd also been reported earlier in People and The National Enquirer, but that's another story.
Much has been made of some kind of secret club Jackson may have had called the "Rubbaheads," which had typed rules and regulations. A note to other Rubbaheads was found in the Jackson family storage bin purchased by a man in New Jersey. There's an implication that because Jackson called some boys "Rubbas," it connotes any number of unseemly things.
So, I asked one of the boys, now grown, about the alleged Rubbahead Club of 10 years ago, when all this happened. He says when he heard about all this a few weeks ago and again yesterday, he was stymied.
"First of all, there was no Rubbahead Club. Rubba was a name Emmanuel Lewis, who played Webster, came up with. Everyone called everyone Rubba. It didn't mean anything. What we did have was the Applehead Club, and that was from 'The Three Stooges.' Everyone was an Applehead because Michael loved 'The Three Stooges.'" ......

And further, when they “escaped” (ha!), why did they run to civil attorneys instead of the police? Did they say, in hindsight, ‘oh yeah, we must have been kidnapped because Star #1 was being abused while Star #2 was watching’? If that’s the case, what’s the explanation as to why they didn’t contact the police and the district attorney immediately after March 31st 2003?? What happened in the month of April 2003 before they were made to see a psychologist at the behest of money lawyer Larry Feldman?

Got back from Santa Maria and here's my report (Disclaimer for all of those "eyes": This report is based strictly on my opinion, unless otherwise expressly stated below):
The Police
I could NOT believe how many police were patrolling out in front of Neverland on Thursday and Friday. These cops were literally waiting for someone to sneeze so that they could issue a citation. And talk about the biggest bunch of redneck cops – they would NOT even smile or say hi in return. They would literally look through you. I did NOT observe any brutality or “misconduct” on the officer’s part, but I did witness one resident of Santa Maria get arrested after the cop asked him to turn off his radio which was playing MJ music on 95.7. The cop gave him 3 rapid warnings and then confiscated his license and told him he was going to jail. SB County cops were all white, as far as I could tell. The Santa Maria police dept on the other hand had some diversity.
These assholes had nothing better to do than drive up and down the road in front of MJ’s property. For a minute, I thought I was in a gang war zone by the way the cops were patrolling the area. Cops patrolling Neverland like there was no tomorrow – there’s NO DOUBT we live in a military police state.
My Conversation with Agent BW
(following has been paraphrased and the person’s identity has been concealed in order to protect his privacy if he so wishes to keep his opinions private) -- I noticed that some of the people on this board have already started discussing him
I went into a very detailed discussion with BW. For those of you who do NOT know him (or those who were not there during our conversation), BW is a local SB County resident and is an independent investigative journalist who provides programming to an independent network which is available on Satellite. He is also a major political activist in the area and constantly confronts govt. corruption (in whatever ways he is able to). He has also done a show about MJ's legal case and claims that he wish he could do more, but the govt. is trying to shut him down.
I asked BW what he thought of the current legal situation:
He said that it was a very well known fact that Tom Sneddon is furious about Michael’s song D.S. He said that he never got over that and the fact that MJ “got away” in 1993 and Sneddon was “out to get him”. He also said that he warned Michael about this “plot”.
I asked his opinion of Judge Melville:
He said he knows Melville very well and knows that he rides horses (who doesn’t in SB County?) and is a “good ole’ boy”. He said that he is one of Sneddon’s buddies (as are a lot of “elites” in that area). He said that Melville will NOT be fair to Michael and that he is probably one of the WORST judges (in his opinion) that he could have been given. He also made the comment that Melville was handpicked for this case and that the other judges were mysteriously assigned to other tasks in order for Melville to look like he was the only one that could handle this. He said that Melville will “screw MJ into the ground” on judgment calls that he has to make. Remember, judges have to use the law to make fair & impartial decisions. Well, according to BW, Melville will almost always make the worst decision (in the prosecutions favor) for Mike. When asked who he recommended as an alternative to Melville, BW said Zell Cantor and another judge whose name I cannot remember. Zell presided over the Avram lawsuit against Mike in 2002. He said that there really isn’t going to be a “fair” judge in that county, but if push came to shove Zell and one other one would at least not be as harsh as Melville or some of the others. (he has had some experience with almost all of the judges in SB County)
I asked BW about the Grand Jury in the current case:
He said that he staked out the Grand Jury’s locations and saw the Grand Jury. He claims that the Grand Jury was selected only from the North County and that they were all white. He said that they were ready to indict MJ from day one.
I asked BW about the Conspiracy charge:
BW said that this was going to be the count that they will get MJ on. He said even if MJ were to avoid being convicted on all other counts, it will be nearly impossible to escape this one count because it really doesn’t require hard evidence per se and it allows “hearsay” to be introduced. He said practically anybody can be called as a witness for the conspiracy charge and it only takes a little to make you guilty of this (even if you didn’t commit the crime itself – you can still be guilty of a coverup). It can also affect MJ’s attorney client privileges. Plus, he said that juries in the North County (which are predominately neoconservative and white) tend to believe that if the Govt. charges you with a crime, then you must have done something wrong. He said that this charge was going to be the “easy” one to “get” MJ on.
I asked BW about his opinion of what he recommended Mike should do at this point:
He responded that Mike should hire a couple of helicopter pilots and get the hell away from SB County. He said that although he didn’t consider Michael “normal”, he definitely doesn’t believe Michael is guilty of any of the charges against him. When asked why he doesn’t dig up the dirt on the county and present this in a new show, he said that he would, but that would cause him to get into trouble with law enforcement. According to BW, law enforcement doesn’t like him cause he is a “whistle blower” and a Libertarian. He mentioned how “THEY” were trying to shut him down for good.
The People of SB County
I questioned many people of the local area on what they thought of MJ and his case. The reason I did this is to gauge what the average person on the streets of SB County thinks of MJ.
I met a fan who was a long time resident of SB county and she said that the majority of the area does NOT like MJ. She constantly gets threatening glares from locals when she wears MJ shirts and they make it very obvious that they do NOT like MJ by giving her their opinion of him. (note, although I did not receive any threatening glares, I did not receive any warmth either. I did get a few eye rolls from people who were driving by Neverland Ranch, but I also saw a considerable number of locals yelling out support chants and playing MJ music)
I met an elderly woman at the front gate of Neverland. She was probably in her 70’s. She said that she felt MJ never did anything wrong and she had a favorable opinion of him because he did a lot in the way of philanthropy for the local community. She did not understand the current case against MJ.
I met several other fans from the area, but one in particular told me about a rally she had at her school. She said that she cleared it with her teachers and that although she had a lot of people questioning her and some that were NOT happy, it was overall positive. She said that the support rally for Michael had some effect on the mindset of the students to at least start asking questions of the case.
In Santa Maria,
I ran into many residents who claimed that they were just there observing the court house that day because they had heard about it in the media and wanted to come down to see what it was like. They also said that they had not made up their minds about Mike and that they would wait and see what happens. One person also said that his gut says something must have happened for this to go down the way it did. A convenience store worker (who was Hispanic) asked me what MJ was like. She seemed very amazed that I got to see MJ and sounded positive in her opinion of MJ, but could not give me a definite answer as to what she thought of the case. She responded, “I don’t know”. I talked to a local DJ for 95.7 in Santa Maria and he said that his station supported MJ as an artist (cause they play his music all the time – even before the charges), but could NOT comment on the legal case as they have to remain neutral. He was in the crowd of fans at the court house and sounded genuine.
I also ran into some of Sneddon’s cohorts outside of the courtroom holding up that sh*tty sign that says that “they believe the victim” and that “they support their DA and sheriff. There were approx. 4 ladies in total and they all had on some cheap shirts that they all printed up and were the same ones who were at the other court appearances. They got booed and cussed out by the crowd, but the media still paid more attention to them than they deserved. I actually went up to one of them and asked her who paid her to hold up that sign. She rambled off some scripted response as to how the county of SB elected Tom Sneddon and how she supports him and that the residents like him. It was total BS and it looked like she knew it, too.
In Solvang
(which is predominately Danish), I ate at a restaurant where I overheard whisperings of MJ at a table near me. I couldn’t make out what was said, but I did hear Michael’s name and I know that the family was discussing him. I also overheard one resident exclaim to the other that the reason he came “out to eat” was because his maid had quit. I just found that comment surprising since I wasn’t used to hearing about people having their own maids. I guess I just live in the wrong area of the Country.
The Local Santa Marian Media:
The Santa Marian SUN newspaper (dated April 29, 2004, page 27) stated that the best way to prepare for the MJ Trial is to treat the trial like a “Biological” terrorist threat and visit the Department of Homeland security’s website to prepare for it. It goes on to make comparisons between the govt’s tips on how to prepare for Biological Hazard and the MJ case (essentially telling the reader to follow the govt’s tips to prepare for the trial).
What I predict will happen (This is my opinion)
Michael Jackson is the target of a Neoconservative movement in the country. I’m not going to get into what being a NeoCon is about or who they are (there’s plenty of information on the internet), but I can summarize it by saying that they have a very far reaching, broad based plan which is currently being executed (i.e. the clean up of the Priesthood, the war on drugs, the war on Terrorrism, the crackdown on DISSENT in the media, the crackdown on left wing radio or any broadcast that is considered “indecent”, the crackdown on anyone who fights with Big Business or attempts to “break away” from Big Business’ control, etc.). Michael Jackson (and those like him) are NOT a part of the NeoCon plan. He is a threat to the overall function of this plan. Neocons do NOT support Black individualism or Black power for that matter. (I believe Sony has influenced this county’s decision to persecute Michael)
If Michael sticks around for a trial (which is more like a Tribunal since his attorney client privileges will be breached and they will allow “hearsay” evidence into the trial) he will be railroaded on the FALSE charge of Conspiracy. SB County (particularly those in Santa Maria) juries consists mainly of upper white class conservatives who generally believe that if the Govt. charges you with a crime, then you must have done something wrong. Conspiracy is a very easy charge for a prosecutor to win since it allows the defendant’s rights to be further breached by allowing in “hearsay” evidence. Basically, anyone can come forward with his/her own version of events (even if they are third party “he said, she said” information) and state something for the jury to hear.
Furthermore, the juries in “neoconservative” Santa Maria are carefully selected by prosecutors so that they get their conviction. Mike’s house is almost the same distance from Santa Maria as it is from Santa Barbara. The only reason Sneddon chose the North County to try Mike is so that he is tried by a bunch of govt. drones.
Furthermore, the conspiracy charge is a Federal felony. Don’t expect Mike to get any help from the FBI or CIA. They are in on this together. Just take a look around and see how many people with ties to the govt. have had a hand in “creating” this case (Xtrajet, Jay Jackson, G**** and his siblings who were part of several law enforcement youth programs, Masada who had connections to an assistant DA who served as his bouncer for almost a decade, etc.). Just take a look at the timeline between January 1, 2001 and May 3, 2004 and see all of the peculiar incidents (and DA statements) that have cropped up. Don’t forget Roger Friedman’s ominous warning in the Summer of 2002 of how MJ and all of his associates were going to be destroyed in a “scorched Earth” scenario.
I have always said that this case is MUCH MUCH bigger than you can imagine (remember how I told you that we needed to “connect the dots” in this case to understand who all was involved?). There are conspirators galore trying to destroy MJ and all of his associates. I also believe that this current plan (which includes G****) was hatched in 2001 (before the release of invincible). Sneddon said that the 1993 case was NOT dead and that it could be reactivated upon a new accuser coming forward. When Mike said that his "life" was at stake, he wasn't lying. I believe he means that "literally".
Furthermore, T-Mez should NOT have complimented the judge in this case. This judge does NOT deserve to be complimented. Due to his comments, I have my reservations about T-Mez. I will refrain from further comment until I get a better grip of what he is like.
There is NO Doubt (not even .000005 %) that MJ is Innocent. There is NO Doubt (not even .000005 %) that MJ is Innocent. And unlike BW, I believe MJ is NORMAL and is an OUTStanding Soul. He is divinity in motion.

Lawyer: Ex-Jackson Workers Won't Cut Deal

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The attorney for two former employees of Michael Jackson said Thursday they won't cut a deal with prosecutors if they are indicted.
An indictment unsealed last week in Jackson's molestation case said the singer and multiple co-conspirators plotted to commit abduction, false imprisonment and extortion.
The charges are believed to involve an attempt to intimidate Jackson's accuser and his family.
The names of the alleged co-conspirators were removed from the copy of the indictment released to the public.
New York attorney Joseph Tacopina said he believes from news reports and conversations with law enforcement officials that his clients, Frank Tyson and Vince Amen, may be among those who will be indicted.
Tacopina said both were invited to testify before the grand jury that heard evidence against Jackson last month. He declined to have them appear.
"They didn't do anything wrong," Tacopina said. "I just don't believe this is an open-minded sort of prosecution."
He also said he didn't want to give prosecutors a "sneak preview of our defense" if his clients are charged.
"If someone made the mistake of charging these guys with a crime, we would absolutely be going to trial. There would be no pleas," he said.
Legal experts have said prosecutors might seek to charge Jackson's associates and then offer them a deal if they agreed to testify against the singer.
Tyson, 23, was Jackson's personal assistant. Tacopina said he believes prosecutors might accuse him of threatening to kill the younger brother of Jackson's alleged victim if he told authorities Jackson had given the boy alcohol.
He said prosecutors may accuse Amen, 24, who worked for Jackson's production company, of holding the family at Jackson's Neverland estate against their will.
Tacopina said he would not make them available for comment. A message left for Amen with his mother in New Jersey was not immediately returned, nor was a message left with a cousin of Tyson's, also in New Jersey.
Jason Karpf of Tellem Worldwide, a firm handling media inquiries for prosecutors, said he had no information on any future indictments. Prosecutors have declined comment, citing a gag order.
The molestations allegedly occurred while the boy, now 14, was staying at Jackson's Neverland Ranch. Jackson has pleaded not guilty.

The 14-year-old boy at the center of the current Michael Jackson case is right in the center of a family at war.
The boy's parents, who are in and out of family court over custody and visitation issues, recently crossed swords again.
This time the mother, who has been called an opportunist and a manipulator in this column by many who have had dealings with her, really said a mouthful. In court papers she said that not only do her two sons and one daughter not want to see their father, but — and this is only according to her — the two boys sleep with baseball bats because they fear this man. She also said they go through putting up a series of barricades so they can sleep soundly.
But it turns out, according to the father's lawyer, that the daughter has seen and spoken to her father. "The mother doesn't care whether she seems him or not," says H. Russell Halpern. "She's only interested in keeping the boys away from him. She's afraid they'll tell him that the whole Michael Jackson story is made up."
In fact: sources have told me from the beginning that when the 14-year-old underwent chemotherapy treatments a year and a half ago, it was the father who took care of him. When the family first came to Neverland, it was the father, not the mother, who accompanied them.
"When the boy got sick, the father took a leave of absence from his job and slept next to his bed. The boy wanted him there for comfort."
The mother's latest court statement, says Halpern, "demonstrates her lack of credibility." And there may be some evidence to back this up. When the mother sued J.C. Penney a couple of years ago, she gave a deposition in which she allegedly testified that her ex-husband — whom she later accused of beating her kids and killing her dog — was a "wonderful man."
Halpern is busy right now trying to get the deposition unsealed. He claims that the Pasadena, California lawyer who handled the case has been pressured by the mother's attorney, Larry Feldman, to keep the papers hidden. But attorney Tom Rothstein told me yesterday, "I've never spoken to Larry Feldman in my life." Feldman, of course, is better known as the lawyer who got a $20 million settlement for another family from Jackson in 1994.

Culkin continues: ``What I tried to make of this incident, I don't recall. What I do remember is my subsequent remarking on it to several of my kids, and how, at this mentioning, they simply stuck out their lower lips, looked to the ceiling, and shrugged.
``And the truth is, further, that he seemed, at very most, harmless enough. He wasn't, after all, committing murder. He was simply sucking on a baby bottle. I wasn't prepared to get all bent out of shape over it. The children loved being with him, and he loved being with them.''
Kit Culkin's longtime friend, Jeannette Krylowski, tells Inside Edition that Culkin has not formed an opinion on whether Jackson is a pedophile.
``He doesn't know,'' she said. ``One of the things that I got from this, every time Kit asked his children, `Where do you want to go?' they would go, `Neverland - want to see Michael.' So the children never reacted badly. And they are in a group; it's a whole group of kids. He thinks that he would have caught something from them, because there are so many of them, and they tell on each other, like kids do.''

Luster werd later in Mexico opgepakt.

Het is natuurlijk weer een lekker sappig MJ verhaaltje...
En dat gelul dat Jackson een vlucht-risico zou zijn slaat natuurlijk helemaal nergens op. Als hij zou willen vluchten maakt die 3 miljoen dollar hem geen klap uit. Hij zou eerder bezorgt zijn over het kapitale Neverland dat hij zou achterlaten. En waar ter wereld zou hij in hemelsnaam naar toe kunnen vluchten? Wie herkent MJ nou niet?
En waarom zou hij nu opeens gaan vluchten? Waarom niet in Januari toen hij tijdelijk zijn paspoort terugkreeg? Het slaat helemaal nergens op en is gewoon weer een mislukte poging van de aanklagers om te verklaren waarom MJ een zevenmaal zo hoog bedrag moest betalen dan de $435,000 die maximaal voor zo'n situatie gevraagd mag worden.
Ze hopen gewoon dat hij vlucht want dan hoeven ze die bedachte zaak niet te verdedigen voor de rechter.
Hij is echt niet zo gek om te gaan vluchten want dat zou dan toch misschien als een soort schuldbekentenis kunnen worden gezien.
Hij kan vluchten naar andere landen waar hij populair is en die geen uitleveringsverdrag hebben.

THE family of Michael Jackson's alleged molestation victim is suing child welfare officials seeking financial damages over a leak in the case, lawyers said today.
The action is the first time the family of the boy, now believed to be 14, has sought financial compensation in the Jackson case, raising fresh speculation over whether cash could be a motivating factor in the affair.
The family filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services over the leaking of a confidential memo that said a departmental investigation had found there was no evidence to suggest Jackson had sexually assaulted the boy.
Larry Feldman, the lawyer who filed the suit on behalf of the youngster's family, which Jackson has accused of attempting to extort money from him, said it sought monetary sanctions for the DCFS's alleged violation of the family's privacy.
The memo stated that Los Angeles police and child welfare officials concluded in the probe that was carried out last year before charges were laid against him in Santa Barbara that the child sexual abuse allegations against Jackson were "unfounded".
The family claims in its suit that it seeks financial damages from the department because officials did not have the "human decency to apologise for violating their privacy".
DCFS officials said they were "aggressively" pursuing an investigation into how the document was leaked.
But Dana Cole, a lawyer who has worked with Jackson's defence team, said the lawsuit was suspect.
"I think there is an inconsistency here," he told AFP.
"All along, the family has emphasised that this was not about money and now they are saying they want money.
"This may lead to the conclusion that there might be a financial motive behind this," he claimed.

En als alles erop wees dat hij het inderdaad gedaan had, dan ben ik heus niet zo gek hem nog te verdedigen. Er is echter veel nieuws dat erop wijst dat hij ontzettend wordt genaaid door de familie en aanklager Tom Sneddon. Dat zijn gewoon feiten en geen verzinsels van gekke MJ fans.
En inderdaad komen die op mij heel wat overtuigender over dan die roddels dat Jackson aan een babyflesje zit te zuigen...
MJ moet gewoon maar eens ver uit de buurt van kindertjes blijven voorlopig ..is beter.
En feiten ja. Vind jij het bijvoorbeeld niet vreemd dat Tom Sneddon al voor de aanklagen afspraakjes had met de moeder van de aanklager ergens achteraf op een parkeerplaats? Ik wel.
Mj heeft gewoon een imagoverandering nodig waarin hij zijn 'weirdness' uitbuit. Zoals een Dennis Rodman.

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Michael Jackson will be tried on child molestation charges on Friday, Sept. 13.
Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville set the trial date Friday (May 28) and said he will rule later on the defense's request to reduce Jackson's bail from $3 million, reports Reuters.
Prosecutors claim that the bail, higher than usual for the circumstances, is necessary to prevent the pop star from fleeing the country. Jackson wouldn't be the first wealthy defendant to do so. Max Factor heir Andrew Luster recently absconded to New Mexico during his rape prosecution.
Judge Melville will also consider unsealing Jackson's indictment, allowing the media access to the evidence used against him. The King of Pop has pleaded "not guilty" to charges of child molestation, administering an intoxicating agent, and a conspiracy count involving allegations of child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion.
Media frenzy has surrounded the already popular Jackson ever since a raid on his Neverland ranch yielded child molestation charges in November 2003. The 45-year-old became an international star with albums such as "Thriller" and "Bad." He has also acted in several films including 1978's "The Wiz" and recently had a cameo as Agent M in 2002's "Men in Black II."

DRUGGED him in order to carry out depraved acts.
SWITCHED personality the second he was in private, changing from a charming companion to a "demon".
And ABUSED him for a total of six years at the star's two palatial homes, leaving him in turmoil.
The video recording Daniel's claims begins with his chilling words: "I was abused by Michael Jackson."
The singer already faces trial, possibly in September, accused of abusing cancer sufferer Gavin Arvizo when the lad was 12. Jacko, who denies all charges, could be jailed for 74 years on nine charges. Second accuser Daniel was clearly emotional on the video as he claimed he was filmed being forced to take part in "grotesque acts".
He added: "It seemed as if he was deriving pleasure from my pain."
Then he claimed Jackson would "be laughing demonically while this was happening." The youngster, currently in a safe house in Los Angeles, and now represented by highly respected lawyer Gloria Allred, said that there was nothing he could do to fight back.
He added: "I had no control over my body but I was still conscious.
"They drugged me. I was given a goblet of red wine. I suspect it had something in it." And he described the sinister change in Jackson's personality once he was in private. One minute they might be walking through grounds of the star's Neverland Ranch in California.
Once inside and out of sight of others, Jackson would turn off the charm like a tap. Daniel said: "In public, Jackson was charming, but when I was alone with him he was a freak. His whole demeanour changed. You have to have a totally whacked-out demeanour to even consider doing the things he's done to me. He was acting demonic, he was acting crazed. Very sadistic."
At this point, Daniel breaks down and asks to stop filming. When it resumes, his first words are: "He was verbally abusive, cursing, very crazed for power."
Daniel went on to describe Jackson's naked body.
He said: "I remember that his whole body was the same colour, very white, very pale."
The youngster's mother Suzanne says her son was introduced to Jackson by her estranged husband Danny.
Before long, the child became a regular visitor to Jackson's home in Encino and was also treated to a special birthday party at Neverland.
Daniel said he suffered abuse ordeals at both places.
He added: "I can remember things as far back as when I was three. I have a photographic memory.
"I vaguely remember first meeting Jackson—but the things that stick out in my mind are the sexual acts that occurred with him.

"And I remember walking with Jackson on the trail at Neverland and holding his hand and talking to him. Just chit chat.
"Most of what I remember at around the age of 12 and 13 is just being alone with him and that other guy and all the sexual acts."
Mum Suzanne, who did not have custody of Daniel, said she had noticed bite marks on intimate parts of his body.
Asked if he has any pleasant memories of the star, Daniel spits: "Pleasant memories with Jackson? Only outside Neverland riding the rides."
Suzanne said she discovered her son knew Jacko shortly before his fourth birthday—when one of the star's songs came on the car radio.
She said: "My son was very agitated and started kicking my radio so that the knob came off. He told me, ‘I don't like that'.
"I said, ‘What? It's Michael Jackson'. He said, ‘I don't like him'. I said, ‘You're talking like you know him'. He said, ‘I do' and started crying. I just flipped out."
LA District Attorney Tom Sneddon has quizzed Daniel and passed a file to cops.

En hij wordt vertegenwoordigt door de 'highly respected' Gloria Allred... yeah right, alleen higly respected door de roddelpers. Zij probeert Jackson al lange tijd het leven zuur te maken en zit ook achter de onderzoeken van de kinderbescherming die Jacksons kinderen van hem zouden moeten weghalen. Het resultaat daarvan was trouwens dat de kinderbescherming geen enkele reden zag om daartoe over te gaan. Ach ja, ze heeft weer even wat aandacht...

Jackson: Now Fingered by the 'Head Lyncher'
An 18-year-old named Daniel Kapon says Michael Jackson abused him from the time he was 3 years old to age 9. Kapon sold his story to the United Kingdom's reliably funny News of the World newspaper and it appeared over the weekend.
The bad news for all of them is that Santa Barbara District Attorney Tom Sneddon doesn't seem to be taking any of this seriously, which is exactly right.
Kapon lives in Encino, Calif., where Jackson also lived with his parents until the mid 1980s. On a Web site set up by his Woodland Hills high school friends, it's noted that Kapon is a member of something called the "Messed Up Friends Club." His position in the club is "Head Lyncher," described thusly by Simone, the Web master of the site: "He hates me, the webpage designer, more than he hates everybody else." Kapon's 2002 school paper on "Oedipus Rex," can be found on the Internet.
Kapon is represented by Jackson critic Gloria Allred, and was — according to reports — or is — a patient of Carole Lieberman, the Los Angeles shrink who worked on Randy Taraborelli's tabloid biography of Jackson and was the person who filed complaints against Jackson for his baby-dangling incident. Meanwhile, last week, Larry Feldman, the Los Angeles attorney who secured a $20 million settlement against Jackson for a 13-year-old boy in 1993, filed a promise to sue Los Angeles County for his latest clients, the family of the 14-year-old boy who is the plaintiff in the only other Jackson case in a decade.
Strangely enough, it's always the same professionals from previous Jackson scandals who discover the new ones. They must have a sixth sense for sniffing out Michael Jackson mishegos. No other lawyers or psychiatrists seem to have the same abilities.

Los Angeles: On May 28, 2004, Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Juvenile Division officially concluded their 2-month investigation into allegations of child abuse against Michael Jackson.
The person making the allegations claimed the acts took place in the City of Los Angeles in the late 1980’s. After an extensive investigation, which included hours of interviews with the person making the allegations, Detectives concluded there was no evidence that any crime occurred. No charges will be sought.

Jackson raakte aan de pijnstillers na de eerste aanklacht.

En ik zal de laatste zijn die zal zeggen dat Michael normaal is want dat is hij ook niet. Maar hij heeft wel het recht op een eerlijke behandeling. En die krijgt hij op dit moment niet.

Ik blijf mezelf gewoon focussen op zijn muziek en enkele idealen die hij uitdraagt. Ik kijk daarbij ook naar de vele mensen die hij nog dagelijks massaal bij elkaar brengt en die steun in hem en zijn muziek vinden. Dat vind ik een gigantische prestatie.
Dat hem dat niet vrijspreekt van waar hij voor beschuldigt is dat weet ik natuurlijk ook wel. Daarom kijk ik ook naar hoe het nieuws rondom de zaak zich ontwikkelt en ik kan niet anders dan concluderen dat de hele manier waarop dit alles tot stand is gekomen weer uiterst dubieus is. Ik zal dan wel niet helemaal objectief zijn, maar ik sluit mijjn ogen heus niet voor de mogelijkheid dat hij het wel eens gedaan kan hebben. En daarnaast, wie is er wel objectief in deze zaak?
Voor mij stinkt de zaak aan alle kanten. De feiten dat aanklager Sneddon geheime afspraakejs had met de moeder van Gavin op een afgelegen parkeerplek, de continu veranderende aanklachten, de geschiedenis van de aanklagende familie, de geheimzinnigheid rondom de hele zaak... zoveel zaken die tenminste tot denken moeten zetten en niet meteen tot een veroordeling.
Zeg dan gewoon dat je die info allemaal niet kent, in plaats van zijn schuld te 'bewijzen' met die balkonscene foto.

Jackson settled first child molestation suit for approximately $25 million
Michael Jackson paid out approximately $25 million to settle a civil suit by a boy who accused him of molesting him in 1993, according to the confidential agreement which was exclusively obtained by Court TV's Diane Dimond.
The pop star, according to the agreement, maintained the settlement did not signify an admission of any wrongdoing against the boy or his parents.

Jackson agreed to pay $15,331,250 to be held in a trust fund for the accuser, now 24, as well as $1.5 miillion to each of his parents. The accuser may have also received another payment of up to $7 million not specified in the agreement. Additionally, the plaintiff's lawyer was slated to receive $5 million.

Over dat laatste stukje is nu al veel discussie gevoerd op de Amerikaanse TV kanalen (waar sommige programma's zelf werden afgebroken voor dit 10 jaar oude 'nieuws'). Het zou namelijk best eens zo kunnen zijn dat Jacksons verzekeraar de aanzet heeft gegeven tot een afkoopsom en niet Jackson zelf. In november 2003 werd dit in Larry King Live ook al aangegeven door een advocaat van de Jackson familie:

Insurance companies, who have their own set of investigators, can also force or even threaten to discontinue their coverage if a client refuses to comply with certain terms. So this settlement could actually have been…strongly urged…by an insurance company. Judging from the language of the document, most experts have said there’s no question that an insurance company was involved. Former prosecutor Paul Pfingst appeared on MSNBC yesterday (June.15.2004) to discuss these “new” details. He said:
The settlement at first blush would cause people to say ‘nobody would settle a criminal case for 15 or 20 million dollars unless they had something to hide’. But in reality, if we take a look at the terms of the settlement, that’s probably not so clear because, first, it appears as though the settlement was in part paid for by insurance. And you can tell that by the wording of the settlement. It seems to show there was insurance money as part of the settlement. The second is that if you’re Michael Jackson’s team and you’re selling a lot of albums, settling a case for 15 or 20 million dollars may actually make money by allowing you to sell albums for 40, 60 or 100 million dollars. But will this, at the end of the day, settlement ever get in front of a jury in a criminal trial? No. No.
Het draait dus gewoon weer allemaal om geld...
Interessanter is de vraag waarvoor de afkoopsom nu eigenlijk precies is betaald. De originele aanklacht behandelde drie verschillende aanklachten:
1. molestatie
2. fraude
3. onachtzaamheid
Uit de vrijgekomen documenten blijkt dat de afkoopsom alleen geldt voor punt 3. Jackson heeft dus alleen toegegeven op een bepaald moment onachtzaam te zijn geweest. De precieze inhoud hiervan weet niemand. Maar duidelijk wordt genoemd dat het niet om aanranding of fraude gaat:

Daarnaast tonen de documenten dat de familie geen strobreed in de weg wordt gelegd om Jackson alsnog te vervolgen via 'criminal law'. Hier was al een zaak in gang gezet maar die heeft niet ver kunnen komen omdat de familie niet meer wilde meewerken. Toevallig was het geld toen al binnen...
Erg interessante documenten dus, die werden gebracht als een flinke tegenvaller voor Jackson maar die bij nadere bestudering juist de andere kant op werken.

The following is a transcript of the Jackson segment which aired today, June 24 2004 on ABC's Good Morning America:
JESSICA YELLIN: For the first time, ABC News has learned how Michael Jackson could respond to some of the most explosive charges against him, charges that he provided alcohol to a minor and that he conspired to silence his accuser's family by keeping them virtual prisoners at Neverland and for a week in a hotel room. And ABC News has learned that a likely focus will be the accuser's mother, questioning both, her credibility and her motives.
At the heart of the case is alcohol. Prosecutors allege that Michael Jackson provided liquor to the 12 year old accuser with an intent to commit molestation. Now sources familiar with Jackson's side of the case say he adamantly denies giving liquor to the boy or knowingly being present while he was drinking. In addition, those sources claim there are witnesses who can testify that the accuser and his siblings were often drinking at Neverland when Jackson wasn't even on the premises. And more than that. They claim that the boy's mother was often present while the kids were drinking, and she did nothing to stop it.
DANA COLE: If the mother is present, that would certainly cause a jury to think (A) What's the big deal? or ( How could we possibly blame Michael Jackson for something that is being done in front of the kids' own mother?
JESSICA YELLIN: And there's more from Jackson's side of the story. Jackson's associates are also accused of conspiring to imprison the alleged victim's family, both at Neverland and at this hotel [Country Inn & Suites] at Calabasas, a suburb of Los Angeles. But sources say they expect Jackson's Team to try to paint a very different picture -- that it was the mother who asked to be put up at Calabasas so she could look for a new house. They say the mother wanted to hide after her son appeared in the controversial Martin Bashir documentary on Michael Jackson. We've also learned that friends of Jackson claim that not only did the mother come and go from that hotel at will, but that she went on a shopping spree, all on Michael Jackson's dime.
DANA COLE: You consent to go with someone, then it's clearly not an abduction.
JESSICA YELLIN: Was it abduction or a generous trip? That will be left for a jury to decide.
Now sources close to the accuser's family insist the mother was not free to come and go in Calabasas, and they categorically deny she knew about or saw her kids drinking. In fact, they say when she learned about the drinking, she wanted to separate her kids from Michael Jackson's reach.

Audio Tape Is Smoking Gun
There's a smoking gun in the Michael Jackson child-abuse case, but it's not going to help the prosecution.
An audio tape made by private investigator Brad Miller on or around Feb. 20, 2003, may in fact solve the whole case.
On the tape, Miller — working for Jackson defense attorney Mark Geragos — interviews the 13-year-old boy who has since accused Jackson of impropriety. Also interviewed are the boy's brother, sister and mother.
This tape, I'm told, is the reason behind all those closed-door arguments among the lawyers in the case and the subject of Judge Rodney Melville's sealing of evidence. The tape, and a lot of documents that have nothing to do with Jackson, were found in a police raid on Miller's office the same day cops charged into Neverland last November.
And that's the problem. Miller's lawyer, as well as Jackson's, claims that Miller worked for Geragos and not for Jackson, making Miller part of the defense team — and everything in his office off-limits to prosecutors. I'm told that the search warrant against Miller, however, incorrectly stated that he was Jackson's employee.
Miller has had to hire his own legal representation because, he's told friends, many of the items confiscated by the Santa Barbara police in that November raid are files pertaining to other clients, not to Jackson.
But it's what's on the tape that all the lawyers are fighting about.
Miller, under instructions from Geragos, interviewed the family members about their relationship with Jackson. He asked them a lot of questions, including whether or not there had been any sexual misconduct. The answers, I'm told, were emphatically "no."
Prosecutors may suggest the three were coerced or forced to read from a script. But it appears they were not alone during the taping session. Major Jay Jackson, the boy's mother's boyfriend, was with them the whole time, my sources say.
"If Jay Jackson didn't like what they were being asked, he could have said something," one source says. "He didn't."
It's a big issue now that the prosecutors are in possession of this tape. Under the law, they are not allowed to listen to it until the judge rules whether it's part of the defense. But District Attorney Tom Sneddon may have listened to it after all. (No one from the prosecutor's office will comment on this or any other part of the Jackson case, invoking the court's gag order.)
The tape may also play into the ever-shifting timeline in the Jackson case. When Sneddon filed charges against Jackson, he alleged that the child molestation took place between Feb. 7 and March 10 of 2003. Later, when he re-filed, the dates were changed: Feb. 20 to March 12, 2003.
"That's because the tape was made later, around February 16 or 18," says my source. "Also, that's when the family was interviewed by the Los Angeles child-welfare people. Sneddon is trying to re-set the timeline so it all matches."
An interviewer from the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services spoke to the family the same week they made the tape. I'm told the same answers came back — that nothing untoward had happened.
Sneddon, it's suggested, had to change the dates of the charges so that they began after the tape was made and the interview was conducted.
"And we're to believe that Michael, knowing about the tape and the interview, then decided to molest the kid," my source says incredulously.
There's more. Initially, we were led to believe that Jackson's managers, Dieter Wiesner and Ronald Konitzer, hired Geragos in January 2003 before any of this started.
We were told that they did this with an eye toward suing Sony Music over Jackson's situation with the company. It was supposedly a coincidence that Geragos was on duty when the family of the accuser needed handling.
Now, however, I am told by an eyewitness that Wiesner and Konitzer didn't retain Geragos until right after the Martin Bashir television special "Living With Michael Jackson" aired on ABC on Feb. 7, 2003.
According to my source, Wiesner and Konitzer immediately suspected that the family was going to become a problem once the special aired.
"They wanted to be paid for being in it," my source said. "When they weren't, it became an issue."
Geragos kept a vigilant eye on the family even when it was being chaperoned by Jackson's employees. For example, he paid at least one month's rent on the family's East Los Angeles apartment.
"They were going to be evicted," says a source, "and he thought it was the right thing to do."
He also assigned a "watcher" named Johnny who worked for Miller to keep an eye on the family during a four- or five-day stay at the Hotel Calabasas about 30 miles from downtown Los Angeles.
"He [Johnny] was there to keep the press away," says my source.
Prosecutors have hinted that the Hotel Calabasas stay was a type of incarceration. But defense sources say they have evidence that the family went to the movies, ate at an Outback Steakhouse and was free to come and go.
The family was eventually moved out of its apartment and all its belongings put in storage. The conspiracy component of the Jackson indictment suggests that this was done against the family's wishes.
But, my source insists, "They wanted it. The mother said she wanted her apartment cleaned out and everything thrown away. She said she was starting a new life with Jay."
The Jackson team made sure it chronicled everything that happened.
"All the contents of that apartment were videotaped. We weren't going to have them say something was missing later," my source says.

The pressure stems from comments he reportedly made at a recent District Attorneys’ Association conference held in Vancouver. Veteran journalist for the Globe & Mail newspaper, Robert Matas, reported on Wednesday that Sneddon had made several remarks regarding the Jackson case during a panel discussion. Sneddon, and others involved with the case, is subject to a judicial gag order preventing him from speaking about it.
Sneddon is said to have told conference delegates how he had prevented certain people from speaking about Jackson’s trial by sending them letters notifying them they could be called as witnesses. He is also reported to have advised his audience to hire PR firms when dealing with high-profile cases.
Legal experts have expressed shock at the prosecutor’s alleged remarks saying that if the report was accurate, disciplinary action should be taken against him for abusing his power.
Interrupting his holiday to address the brewing legal storm, Sneddon telephoned an Associated Press reporter, claiming that he had been misquoted. He further denied speaking about Michael Jackson’s trial, saying his comments had been taken out of context.
But Matas, a journalist for more than 30 years, is adamant that his story is factual. Speaking to Santa Maria Times journalist Steve Corbett on Friday, he said: "It´s definitely accurate. My notes are accurate. I was sitting there and taking notes as he spoke."
He said Sneddon had been introduced as the prosecutor in the Jackson case and had related several anecdotes regarding the case during his appearance. Matas also spoke with Sneddon following the panel discussion.
"I went up and asked him what he was most surprised about," Matas said. "He said that he´s been accused of doing this in revenge."
"Prosecuting Jackson?" questioned Corbett.
"Yeah."
“So he actually answered your specific question about the Jackson case?" asked Corbett.
"Yeah," confirmed Matas.

Timeline emerges in Jackson abuse case
Details are emerging on the conspiracy charge against Michael Jackson from one of the alleged five non-indicted co-conspirators. Ronald Konitzer, a former business associate of the entertainer, has spoken for the first time since the conspiracy charge was included in the new charges against Mr. Jackson.
Mr. Konitzer said that the documentary of Mr. Jackson’s life made by Martin Bashir, Granada and ITV named “Living With Michael Jackson” set off a public relations firestorm that threatened the King Of Pop’s livelihood. In the video, it shows Mr. Jackson saying that it is okay to share your bed with children and is seen holding hands with the teenage boy who would later become his accuser.
Mr. Konitzer detailed the steps he and others took to protect the singer’s reputation. ‘Take Two: The Footage That You Were Never Meant To See’ was a production that cast Mr. Jackson in a positive light, said Konitzer. It was nothing more than damage control.
His story significantly contrasts with the narrative prosecutors presented in the July 27th court hearing in Santa Maria. Prosecutors said that the singer’s “henchmen,” “hirelings” and “thugs” conspired to abduct, imprison and coerce the boy and his family to participate in a video that countered the ITV-Granada documentary.
Mr. Konitzer said that he or the other members of Mr. Jackson’s associates did nothing conspiratorial in regards in their actions after the documentary.
"It was a very natural development of events and a normal professional move that has been taken out of context -- there was no cover-up," Mr. Konitzer said in an interview Friday. "We were working around the clock at the ranch for 10 days in a row -- with my family even there -- and I can tell you the one thing I remember is a bunch of kids running around and having fun. There was nothing I saw that even resembled anything near imprisonment."

Mr. Jackson had his own videographer filming him during the time Mr. Bashir was filming for the documentary. The team went to Neverland to gather the footage for the ‘Take Two’ which ultimately aired on Fox on February 20th.
Mr. Konitzer said that the singer was at the ranch, but like a CEO of a large company, he let the hired professionals do the work.
"Everybody worked around the clock to get it all together," he said. "It was teamwork -- not a conspiracy."
The teenager and his mother were at the ranch, and did not appear in the final cut of the rebuttal video.
Mr. Amen’s attorney, Michael Bachner said, "From what Vincent Amen saw, these people were certainly in no way under any type of duress. This family was not under any type of force or compulsion to remain anywhere. They freely went around to speak to whoever they wanted. They went shopping. They made phone calls. They did everything free people do."
Mr. Tyson’s lawyer Joseph Tacopina said that his client also said that the family was not held against their will. "If she (the mother) were being held hostage, then I guess during one of her shopping sprees on Rodeo Drive she could have told a store manager while she was buying a thousand-dollar dress."
For prosecutors to characterize Neverland as a "place designed to entice children" is ridiculous, he said. "To say Neverland was constructed to be a predator´s mansion is, quite frankly, very offensive. Thousands of children have been through there, and it´s been the greatest moments in their lives."
Both lawyers say they doubt charges will ever be filed against their clients, but if they are, Mr. Tacopina said, "the last thing Tom Sneddon wants is my client to testify at his trial. . . . They have no interest in charging these men -- because if they do, we´ll answer to the charges, and then they´ll really have problems."
Prosecutors declined to comment Friday, citing a gag order in the case.

Jackson's advocaten laten nu onderzoeken of Sneddon de 'gag order' (niet over de zaak mogen praten) heeft overtreden. Er werd al eerder door hen en MJ gezegd dat dit een wraak-zaak is van Sneddon. De gebrandheid van Sneddon op deze zaak en eerdere berichten dat Sneddon contact zou hebben met de moeder van de aanklagende tiener op een afgelegen parkeerplaats al voordat er een aanklacht was, lijken dit te bevestigen.
Het misbruik van zijn kracht als openbaar aanklager van Sneddon staat niet op zich. In vele andere zaken is hij hiervoor ook al aangeklaagd. Deze zaken worden vervolgens meestal buiten de rechtbank om geregeld of werden verloren door Sneddon. Op dit moment lopen er ook nog twee zaken tegen hem voor 'misbruik van kracht, vals arrest, fout aanklagen en zwartmakerij' door twee advocaten.
Dit gedrag van Sneddon zegt niets over Jacksons mogelijke onschuld maar het patroon van krachtsmisbruik door Sneddon begint langzaam publieke aandacht te krijgen:

In describing the atmosphere of the courtroom, Gail conveys to us that the showdown is "tense" and that Sneddon is "under pressure." Gail notes that many media reps that are in the courtroom and in overflow simply "do not believe Sneddon´s testimony." His behavior has been described as "petulant, bratty, abrasive and very uncooperative," Because of this behavior, Judge Melville admonished D.A. Sneddon FOUR SEPARATE TIMES.
According to Gail, Judge Melville stopped the proceedings and said to Sneddon "Look, you are no longer an advocate. You are a WITNESS in these criminal proceedings. Stop being argumentative and evasive and answer the questions! Yes, or No will do."
Sneddon responded with what could be described as a belligerent tone "I do not want the wrong view point to get out ..... I have to explain." Melville then stated "That is up to your counsel. Your counsel will question you about this. Once again, you are not an advocate but a witness. Stop sparring with Mesereau."
From that point, Sneddon barked his answers with an angry "YES" or "NO" to Tom Mesereau’s questions.

SANTA MARIA, Calif. (AP) -- The stepfather of the boy who accused Michael Jackson of molestation testified Thursday that he asked for payment for the family's participation in a video interview intended to restore Jackson's reputation.
"I said, 'This family has nothing and you're making millions from this and what are you going to do for this little family,'" the witness said of a conversation he had with someone he identified only as the "gentleman from Neverland," a reference to Jackson's ranch.
The stepfather, under questioning by the defense, said the person offered to give them "a college education and buy them a house." The stepfather was referred to as "Mr. Doe" to protect his identity and that of his stepson.
The so-called "rebuttal video" was meant to answer negative publicity surrounding a British TV documentary on Jackson that included the alleged victim and showed Jackson defending his practice of having young boys sleep in his bed. He said the contacts were non-sexual and "very sweet."
In the rebuttal video, the 12-year-old boy and his family reportedly vouch for Jackson's good character. Prosecutors say the family was coerced into making the video, which has not been released.
Thursday's questioning appeared to bolster defense contentions that the accuser's family tried to "shake down" Jackson for money. Lawyers for Jackson claim the molestation accusations came when no payment was made.
The stepfather also testified that he asked for compensation at some point from a British journalist who came to the family's home after the documentary on Jackson aired. He said the journalists eventually offered $15,000 for the interview.
Jackson, 45, is charged with committing a lewd act upon a child, administering an intoxicating agent and conspiring to commit child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion. He has pleaded not guilty and is free on $3 million bail.
During his testimony, the man refused to confirm much of the content of the rebuttal video, saying investigator Bradley Miller virtually ignored him while interviewing everyone else associated with the family.
"You heard Mrs. Doe say very positive things about Michael Jackson, didn't you?" asked Jackson attorney, Thomas Mesereau Jr.
"I don't know," the witness said. "I assume nice things were said. It wasn't about me."
Mesereau then said: "You heard Mrs. Doe talk about Mr. Jackson saving her son's life and being a father figure. Do you recall her saying, 'They filmed a beautiful story about Michael and my son?'"
"No," said the witness. "I don't recall that."
The stepfather and other witnesses at this week's proceedings said they did not know Miller was working for Mark Geragos, who was Jackson's lawyer at the time.
The defense is trying to determine whether authorities knew Miller was working for Geragos when they broke into Miller's office and seized the video. The defense contends that would violate Jackson's attorney-client privilege of confidentiality.
The stepfather acknowledged that the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department used him as a confidential agent at one point, sending him to scope out the location of Miller's office. But he insisted he didn't know Miller worked for Geragos, and he refused to look at documents to refresh his memory.
Also Thursday, the judge authorized the Sheriff's Department to release an investigation by the state attorney general's office that concluded that Jackson was not mistreated when he surrendered to authorities last year, as he had claimed.
Defense attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr. called the release of the report "a scam and a sham."
Posted on the court's Web site Wednesday was a request by Jackson to file an objection to the release of the sealed report. Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville on Thursday agreed to "entertain" a response by Jackson.
In a "60 Minutes" interview a month after his Nov. 20 arrest, Jackson said he was "manhandled" by sheriff's deputies. He never made a formal complaint about his treatment or requested an investigation, although he had bruises and received medical treatment, Mesereau said.
Melville also has agreed to let Jackson file a request to make a public statement despite a gag order in the trial, according to papers posted on the Web site. Jackson's lawyers filed the request Aug. 13, with the proposed statement blacked out.

Plastisch chirurgisch wonder Michael Jackson draagt een stukje van zijn oor nu op zijn neus. De Duitse arts Werner Mang beweert dat hij eind jaren '90 werd ingehuurd door het personeel van Jackson toen het gezicht van Wacko Jacko begon in te vallen.
Dokter Mang zegt een stukje kraakbeen van Jacksons oor te hebben gebruikt om diens aftakelende neus te redden. Volgens Mang heeft de Californische plastische chirurg Stephen Hoefflin de popster inmiddels al zeker zes keer geopereerd.

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Someone wants to assassinate the King of Pop.
Adrian Poffley, a 26-year-old Canadian, has been charged with sending an email death threat to Michael Jackson to the Santa Maria, Calif., courthouse on Monday, Aug. 16, reports the AP.
The Gloved One was in attendance that day to face Tom Sneddon, who is heading the prosecution against the pop singer.
Authorities in Santa Barbara traced the email back to Kitchener, Ontario. Poffley's home was searched the following Thursday, and later he was arrested.
No details of the email have been released. Poffley will appear in court in September.
In other Jackson news, Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville ruled on Monday, Aug. 23 to admit 39 pieces of evidence seized from the Neverland Ranch raid in November. It is not known which items are being admitted, but some of the items retrieved include computers, cameras, documents and video and audio tapes.
None of the rulings are final, however, since Judge Melville will allow both sides of the case to file written arguments that will be presented during the next court hearings on Sept. 16 and 17.
Jackson has pleaded "not guilty" to charges of child molestation, administering an intoxicating agent, and conspiring to commit child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion. He is free on $3 million bail and will stand trial on Jan. 31, 2005.

Private Home Movies bevat nooit eerder vertoonde beelden van onder andere Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jordan, Lisa Marie Presley en Janet Jackson.
Beelden van een jonge MJ vind ik nog steeds erg leuk om te zien.
Het maakt me ook treurig.
Dat die niet meer bestaat.
Nu is mijn treurigheid vooral voor de kinderen, die niet in konden zien nog dat MJ intenties ws iets anders waren dan zij vermoedden.

En een opname uit 2002 waarin voor Jackson een supermarkt is afgehuurd zodat hij eindelijk eens kan meemaken hoe het is om gewoon te winkelen. Niet echt natuurlijk want alle andere klanten waren verklede vrienden...
Was wel leuk, MJ kwam als toch wel aparte gast, maar waar je toch wel lol mee kunt hebben. En dat was natuurlijk ook de bedoeling.

Ik luister al sinds mijn tienertijd naar zijn muziek en ik denk toch echt dat ik me ik beter verdiept heb in de vorige en huidige zaak dan de gemiddelde fok-ker.
Ik ben niet blind voor de waarheid en beschouw mezelf als een nuchter persoon.
Als jij zonder vooroordelen op onderzoek uit zou gaan en de feiten naast elkaar neer zou leggen kom je hoogstwaarschijnlijk tot dezelfde conclusie als ik.

Michael Jackson and his family plan to be in a Santa Maria courtroom next week to watch his lawyers grill the woman who accuses their client of molesting her son, the News-Press learned Thursday.
The accuser's mother, who referred to Mr. Jackson as "the devil" during grand jury testimony in April, is expected to answer questions next Friday from lead defense lawyer Thomas Mesereau about key points in the criminal case against Mr. Jackson.
"Michael Jackson has a right to confront his accuser -- and in many ways she's much more the accuser in this than the child," said Laurie Levenson, a former federal prosecutor and professor at Loyola University School of Law.
Mr. Jackson is not required to attend the pretrial hearing. The defense tactic, however, does more than afford Mr. Jackson his legal rights -- it also illustrates the underlying psychological battle that marks this case. Last month in the same courtroom, Mr. Jackson watched defense lawyers question Santa Barbara County District Attorney Tom Sneddon, the man who is trying for a second time to put him behind bars.
"There is such a personal nature to these charges between the prosecutor and Jackson and between the accuser's family and Jackson," said Ms. Levenson, who has watched the case closely. "This could be a bit of a guilt trip or intimidation -- I'm not sure.
"But I think there is so much that has gone on between (the mother and Mr. Jackson) that it's almost impossible for any outsider to appreciate the dynamics. You have to think, when is the last time they looked at each other face to face and what happened during that event? Will seeing him make her more determined in the accusations, or will it cause her to back down? You have a psychological battle going on here."
The mother, identified by the court only as Jane Doe, is expected to be the last witness subpoenaed to testify in a hearing focused on a defense motion to keep evidence seized by authorities from being presented at trial. That includes the contents of computer hard drives and video- and audiotapes. The hearing was in its fifth day last month when it was delayed to accommodate Ms. Doe, who was recovering from a cesarean birth.
The hearing resumes Thursday with arguments about law enforcement searches, which the defense contends were illegal. Mr. Sneddon has maintained that authorities strictly followed the law.
Mr. Jackson pleaded not guilty to child molestation and conspiracy charges in April. His trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 31.
The anticipated fan support for Mr. Jackson outside the courthouse, Ms. Levenson said, may affect Ms. Doe one of two ways: "This will either steady her in the role as underdog or it may make her rethink the accusations."
During their arguments, defense lawyers have said authorities violated the law on Nov. 18, 2003, when they raided areas at Mr. Jackson's Santa Ynez estate not listed on a search warrant.
They also argue the same-day search of private investigator Bradley Miller's Beverly Hills office violated attorney-client privilege because Mr. Sneddon should have known that the investigator was working for Mr. Geragos, Mr. Jackson's former attorney.
It's expected that Mr. Mesereau will question Ms. Doe about the Miller-Geragos relationship and Mr. Sneddon's personal involvement in the investigation, which the defense contends crosses into prosecutorial misconduct.
Ms. Doe may also be questioned about a stay at Neverland Valley Ranch. The accuser's stepfather, identified as John Doe, testified last month that Ms. Doe called him from Neverland saying she was being held "under duress," but then she arrived home safely. Ms. Doe provided him with no details of the stay, he added, and returned to the ranch a week later.
There's a chance Mr. Jackson's appearance next week could backfire, Ms. Levenson said: "The prosecution would likely spin it that he's trying to intimidate her and that just proves the tactics he's used in the past. But you're going to have some very interesting moments in the courtroom. It certainly takes the case from the abstract level we've been dealing with down to its basics -- the mother going eyeball to eyeball with the person she is accusing of molesting her son. . . . There will be so much happening in that courtroom that it won't even depend on what the lawyers are asking or even the substance of what she is saying."
Whether or not Ms. Doe's testimony supports the defense motion is "almost irrelevant," Ms. Levenson said. "They'll be able to see how the prosecution's key witness does on the stand -- and that's invaluable."
Assistant Santa Barbara County Courts Administrator Darryl Parker learned Thursday morning that Mr. Jackson and his family plan to be there next week, triggering a plan to increase security.
"Dependent upon activity we see on fan-based Web sites, we can gauge how many people are expected to be there," Mr. Parker said.
"I think we've seen the worst of it," he said, referring to the estimated 2,500 people who showed up in January to catch a glimpse of the pop star for his first arraignment. Crowds have dwindled for Mr. Jackson's past two appearances, Mr. Parker said, with about 500 showing each time, a dramatic contrast with the handful who appear when the entertainer is not present.
"I don't think they can throw much at us we're not prepared for now. It's not a rock- and bottle-throwing crowd. They're a pretty tame group, actually."

Defense Grills Youth's Mother at Jackson Hearing
The woman appeared evasive at times during questioning about an investigator who worked for the pop star's former lawyer.

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- The mother of Michael Jackson's young accuser testified at the pop entertainer's pretrial hearing Friday amid defense suggestions that she is a greed-driven opportunist and chronic liar.
Although the woman known in court as Jane Doe was subpoenaed to testify only on a dry, evidentiary issue in the child-molestation case, her appearance in the packed courtroom made for high drama.
Twenty feet from the witness stand in Santa Barbara County Superior Court, Jackson sat at the defense table, staring at the 36-year-old woman in her black jacket and simple white blouse. He was clad in a resplendent ivory suit and decked with glittering watch chains. Six of his siblings, also dressed in shades of white, occupied the courtroom's first two rows.
Jackson and Doe said nothing to each other. It had been more than two years since she and her family had stayed at his palatial Neverland estate, where she now says they were held captive and her son was molested.
Doe made the sign of the cross before taking the stand. At each break, she propped her head on her hands and prayed.
If she sought guidance, she needed it to withstand a two-hour grilling by defense attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr. At times, she appeared evasive, suspicious and forgetful.
Unable to recall the length of a recent meeting with a prosecutor at her home, she sighed deeply and explained to Mesereau: "I do a lot of staying up at night ... "
Asked other questions, she stroked her chin, wrinkled her brow, shut her eyes and craned her head before answering. Mesereau asked if it were true that she couldn't remember her age when she testified before the grand jury, but prosecutors successfully objected.
The defense has made Doe's credibility a crucial issue in the case. They contend Doe saw the chance to rake in a fortune by fabricating the accusations involving her son, a recovering cancer patient who was 12 at the time of the visit. Prosecutors say Jackson, who has pleaded not guilty, is a merciless predator.
At issue Friday was whether Doe told Santa Barbara County prosecutors that Bradley Miller, a Beverly Hills private investigator, worked for Jackson's former attorney, Mark Geragos. Police seized tapes and documents during a search of Miller's office in November. Jackson's attorneys contend that those items cannot be used in court, because doing so would violate attorney-client confidentiality.
Doe testified she knew of Miller only as a member of Jackson's security team, despite a taped interview she did with him in February 2003. Made shortly after the devastating British TV documentary on Jackson's life, the tape begins with Miller identifying himself as "a licensed private investigator working for Geragos & Geragos, specifically for Mark Geragos, who is a lawyer for Michael Jackson."
Doe seemed to deny the accuracy of the transcript. After further questioning, she backpedaled. "I don't remember," she said. "Now I know who Mark Geragos is. Then it didn't mean nothing to me."
Doe repeatedly asked Mesereau to rephrase his questions, saying they were confusing.
Asked if she knew the hearing's purpose, she replied: "Just to bring more torture on me and my children."
Clearly exasperated at times, Mesereau failed to get any admissions from Doe about the relationship between Geragos and Miller. Even so, he managed to make damaging points that strayed far from the hearing's ostensible purpose.
Although Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville cut him off, Mesereau asked Doe about previous litigation, including a lawsuit against J.C. Penney Co. alleging false imprisonment and an action accusing her ex-husband with abusing and falsely imprisoning one of her children.
Such calculated errors prompted a rebuke from Melville: "I'd like you to talk to me," he told Mesereau, "not to the press."
After Mesereau's examination, prosecutor Ron Zonen did not question Doe.
Later, outside the courtroom, Mesereau issued a statement for which he had secured permission from Melville. Reiterating his client's innocence, he took issue with recent reports of a $2-million settlement that Jackson is said to have paid in an alleged child-molestation incident involving a housekeeper's child.
As Jackson and his family clustered around him, Mesereau said the singer realizes he took bad advice in paying his way out of that situation and a 1993 case involving molestation allegations that were investigated by grand juries in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara counties.
"Greed begets greed," Mesereau said. Jackson "should have fought these actions to the bitter end and vindicated himself."
As the Jackson family emerged from the courthouse, waiting fans erupted in cheers. About 150 people showed up -- a small number compared with earlier hearings, even though a few came from as far as Finland.
At the same time, deputies escorted Doe through side entrances to avoid the crowd. Her movements are necessarily secret, prosectors said, objecting to a routine question in court about her county of residence.
"We went to great expense to move the family in a very surreptitious way," said prosecutor Gordon Auchincloss, adding they use different names now.
Doe's appearance was the culmination of a pretrial hearing that has lasted all summer on defense motions to bar evidence from the searches of Miller's office and of the Neverland ranch.
Melville said he'd rule later on the requests, setting the next hearing in the Jackson case for Oct. 14.

Dit doet Mesereau door tegenstellingen aan te tonen in verklaringen van de moeder en haar motieven in twijfel te trekken. Zo heeft ze al eens gezegd dat haar kinderen Jackson kunnen aanklagen als ze 18 zijn (hoezo niet op geld uit?) en heeft ze haar ex-man ook al eens aangeklaagd voor precies hetzelfde vergrijp op dezelfde zoon. SANTA MARIA, United States (AFP) - Michael Jackson's lawyers sought to portray the mother of the boy who has accused him of child molestation as a liar who has made similar claims against an ex-husband.
Jackson stared grim faced at the 36-year-old woman, named in court documents only as Jane Doe, as his lead attorney Thomas Mesereau launched into a combative exchange with the woman.
Mesereau highlighted contradictions in a sworn statement and documents filed with the court in a bid to portray one of the key prosecution witnesses in the case against Jackson as unreliable.
The lawyer has previously called the woman a liar in court and this time he suggested her motive for accusing the self-styled King of Pop was mercenary.
"She made statements that her children can sue Michael Jackson after they turn 18," Mesereau declared.

"She has hired numerous lawyers and used resumes for work that show she is sophisticated in investigation and prosecution and can supervise surveillance."
The court was not told what the woman's job was. But Mesereau said the woman knew how to file lawsuits and had once accused her ex-husband of molesting one of her sons and falsely imprisoning him in Los Angeles.
Jackson faces charges 10 counts including child molestation and false imprisonment.
The woman, who wore a black suit and open neck white blouse, appeared to avoid eye contact with Jackson as he sat at the defence table staring intensely at her while occasionally mopping his brow with a white handkerchief.
The woman crossed herself before taking a seat in the witness box and was quickly involved in court combat with Mesereau, frequently challenging his line of questioning.
"What are you asking?" she challenged, as Mesereau tried to press her about whether she knew private investigator Bradley Miller was working for Jackson's former attorney, Mark Geragos.
Jackson's team claim the woman and California prosecutors knew of the relationship when investigators swooped on Miller's Los Angeles office on November 18 to search for evidence of child abuse.
"He told me he was with Michael Jackson's security team," the woman said.
"It don't matter what the transcript said," she went on, referring to an account of an interview between her and Miller in which he identifieid himself as working for Geragos.
"He said he was Michael's PI (private investigator), or (somebody) said that. I don't remember, I wasn't paying attention."
The woman has two children, including the alleged victim, by her first husband, and has just had a baby with her new husband.

En het antwoord is dat ik dan gewoon de positieve aspecten daarvan met me meeneem. Michael Jackson is voor mij eigenlijk de verpersoonlijking van een paar idealen: het kind in je uitdragen, niet oordelen op uiterlijk, en zonder remmingen je liefde uiten.
En ik vind het schitterend hoe hij dit uitdraagt met nummers als Man in the mirror, Earth Song, What more can I give en stichtingen als Heal the World en Heal the Kids.
Ik geloof absoluut niet dat hij veroordeeld wordt, maar mocht hij toch in staat zijn geweest tot de smerige dingen die hem ten laste worden gelegd dan zal ik de persoon Michael Jackson moeten loskoppelen van de idealen die ik opnoemde. Daar ben ik sowieso al mee bezig omdat ik natuurlijk in de loop der jaren al mijn eigen visie op de wereld begin te vormen, maar MJ zal toch altijd degeen zijn die mij in aanraking heeft gebracht met deze denkbeelden. En die idealen zal, denk ik, niemand verwerpen.

De aanklacht wegens kindermisbruik tegen popster Michael Jackson blijft recht overeind. Dat heeft de rechter in het proces bepaald. Volgens de BBC op vrijdag vond rechter Rodney Melville dat er genoeg bewijs op tafel ligt voor de beschuldiging.
De 46-jarige popster ontkende zich schuldig te hebben gemaakt aan kindermisbruik. Er liggen tien aanklachten wegens het misbruik van kinderen tegen hem. Michael Jackson moet in januari voorkomen. Op 4 november is er weer een hoorzitting.
Jackson heeft tot nu toe de procesgang bekritiseerd, vond dat de openbaar aanklager getuigen onder druk zette en sprak van onvoldoende bewijs voor kindermisbruik.
The King of Pop moet ook terechtstaan voor een poging tot afpersing en ontvoering. Volgens de aanklacht heeft hij een 13-jarige jongen alcohol laten drinken en hem vervolgens seksueel misbruikt. Juridische experts zeggen dat Jackson een veroordeling tot 29 jaar cel boven het hoofd hangt.

Een 38-jarige man heeft een nieuwe aanklacht ingediend tegen popzanger Michael Jackson omdat die hem twintig jaar geleden seksueel zou hebben misbruikt. Dat hebben juridische bronnen in de Amerikaanse staat Louisiana donderdag gemeld.
Jackson (46) zou de toen 18-jarige Joseph Bartucci onder bedreiging met een vuurwapen hebben gedwongen tot seks. Ook zou de zanger hem een week lang tegen zijn zin gevangen hebben gehouden. Bartucci beweert dat hij de herinnering had verdrongen, tot hij eind vorig jaar een televisieprogramma zag over een nu lopende rechtszaak tegen de popicoon.
Jackson is in de staat Californië aangeklaagd wegens seksueel misbruik van een 12-jarige jongen. Het proces begint in januari. De zanger ontkent alle aantijgingen, evenals eerdere beschuldigingen van kindermisbruik.

Aanklager Ron Zonen bevestigde in de krant "Daily News" dat van Brando onder meer een antwoord verwacht wordt over een omstreden betaling van 20.000 dollar die hij van Wacko Jacko ontving.
In tegenstelling tot hardnekkige mediageruchten, gaat de aanklager er niet vanuit dat Miko Brando door Jackson gevraagd zou geweest zijn een minderjarige te ontvoeren. De aanklager stelt dat Miko in die zaak niet tot de verdachten gerekend wordt. Volgens de advocaat van Jackson, Robert Sanger, paste de betaling van de geldsom binnen de normale betalingsprocedure van de bedrijfskosten van de Neverland-ranch.
Jackson staat terecht voor meervoudig seksueel misbruik van een minderjarige. Daarnaast zou hij ook de opdracht gegeven hebben een kind te ontvoeren. De hoofdaanklachten tegen Jackson steunen op de verklaringen van het kind en diens moeder.
De verdediging is vooral geïnteresseerd in de documenten van de LA en Santa Barbare kinderbescherming omdat die een tijdslijn moeten geven voor de misbruiken waarvan Jackson verdacht wordt.
Deze data zijn immers verandert in April en de verdediging heeft nog steeds geen goed zicht op waar ze nu eigenlijk tegen vechten.
Een medewerker van de verdediging:
"The chronologies are critical to the defense because the dates of the alleged molestations in the original complaint (in December) are different from the dates in the indictment (in April)," Yu said. "These dates are different because the (accuser's) family changed their story. They changed their story because they are not telling the truth."
