Everyone at One Life was feeling a bit camera shy for this demonstration, but a quick trip to the fruit & veg stall gave us the perfect pretend penis! It performed very well and managed to stay hard for half an hour! And it didn't whinge about having to wear the rubber.

So, with the help of the One Life banana, here's how to put a condom on.



First, get hold of some condoms. If you're embarrassed about queuing up at the chemist remember you can often buy them from vending machines in public loos. You can also get them free and in confidence from a family planning clinic. Make sure that any condoms carry the British Standards Institution (BSI) Kitemark:


Make sure you put the condom on when the penis is nice and erect - and before there's any contact with your partner's body.



Open the foil carefully by tearing down one side. Make sure you don't accidentally tear the condom inside. If you do, use another one

You don't want any air inside the condom with your willy - that could cause the condom to split. To avoid this, gently squeeze the tip of the condom between your thumb and forefinger.


While you squeeze the end of the condom, roll the rest of it down over the length of the penis. Make sure it stays in place during sex. If it does come off you should stop and use a new condom to carry on - don't try and salvage the old one!


Everything's now in place. Enjoy yourselves

When you've come, and while you've still got an erection, hold the condom in place and withdraw the penis. Only then should you take the condom off. Keep the condom and penis away from your partner's body.



Wrap it up in tissue paper and throw it away. Don't flush it down the loo.
