Cuban musicians nominated for Grammys denied U.S. visasCuban singer of the Buena Vista Social Club Ibrahim Ferrer, is seen during a press conference in Havana, Cuba.
Deputy Culture Minister Abel Acosta said during the press conference that the US authorities have refused to give visas to Cuban artists invited to participate at the Grammy awards held in Los Angeles on Feb. 8.
Ferrer and the four other Cuban acts who received all five nominations in the best tropical Latin album category were denied visas.
Ferrer was nominated for his album "Buenos Hermanos."
