de illustraties hebben ook een hoog wizard of oz-gehalte.
(heb 2 engelse oz boeken van l.frank baum met de originele illustraties)

Dat de leeuw zichzelf opoffert aan de koningin.
Dat alle trollen / helpers van de koningin alle haren op afschuwelijke wijze uit zijn vacht en manen trekken.

Gruwelijke scene was dat om dan naderhand zo'n naakte leeuw te zien, die de hele serie door zo dapper en trots was.

Ik heb het eerste deel wel gelezen. Vond ik wel mooi. Was pas in het tweede boek begonnen, maar ik ben gewoon afgehaakt! 
Terwijl ik juist echt vrijwel altijd boeken uitlees waar ik in begin.

Ik heb er een paar thuis staan, ben ze trouwens pas gaan lezen toen ik 16 oid was.
Twee week geleden nog weer eens in begonnen, blijfdt leuk.

Onbeschoft directe TVP - heb de boeken als kind kapotgelezen, zou echt leuk zijn om daar een film van te maken!
