Nirvana staat veel te hoog (imho), bands uit Europa zijn amper te vinden, net als Amerikaanse artiesten die hier redelijk populair zijn(geweest). Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jack Bruce, Bon Jovi? Niet zo snel gezien.
11x The Beatles, leuk maar voor 30+ misschien :p
The White Stripes, 1 album en dan nog alleen degene die commercieel het best gelukt is (White Blood Cells vond ik persoon vele malen beter). Heb echt goed moeten zoeken naar RATM (toch redelijk belangrijke band).
Jaren 80+90 komen net aan het aantal van de jaren 60 en 70 apart.
Eminem staat er 4x ??!!
Beastie Boys ergens halverwege, heel raar allemaal.

Natuurlijk scoren de 'oude klassiekers' in dit soort lijstjes vaak het best, er is inmiddels na 30 jaar ook wel een soort consensus bereikt over welke albums uit die periode nu echt essentieel zijn. Over tien a twintig jaar zullen de 'definitieve' lijstjes voor 1990-2000 ook wel bekend zijn.
Verder ook wel grappig dat een aantal jazz-albums de lijst hebben gehaald (Miles en Coltrane en zelfs Ornette Coleman), terwijl dat eigenlijk toch een heel ander genre is dan de rockplaten die het merendeel van deze lijst bevolken.

Toen ik dit lijstje een week of twee geleden onder ogen kreeg dacht ik ook eerst dat het vrijwel alleen bestond uit 'ouwe lullen muziek.' Maar lager in de lijst staan toch nog wel een hoop nieuwere albums godzijdank. Wat ik wel mis is inderdaad Tool, Iron Maiden en (een persoonlijke favoriet) Talk Talk (The colour of spring bijvoorbeeld). En waar is Frank Zappa?
