- I think people want it to be great for some weird reason, but in reality, it's nothing but one rediculously boring and stupid scene after another. It's not art, it's junk; if you opened your eyes, you'd see the king is naked. This movie is complete trash and does not live up to any praise at all.

- This film can be interpreted in many different ways. Everything from satire, sci-fi, fantasy, cult, even trenchant drama or love story. Yet in the final analysis it is a comedy. A biting, dark and often times hilarious one.

- [titel] is surprisingly violent - viewing it again recently after a gap of several years, I found the constant attacks, bombings etc., slightly sickening, although I'm sure that is the intention.

- It is a great premise that a swat of a fly can trigger such a mad-cap domino effect on one man's life.

- If you've seen the 94-minute Universal "edit" of this movie then you haven't seen the real [titel]. Almost all of the fantasy sequences are fully cut out and many of the key scenes are as well.

- The story takes place over 4 days and 3 nights, just before Christmas. Each night is distinguished by some disaster involving the air-conditioning.
