Meanwhile, the official site for the film has posted three new magnificent wallpapers which you can find here, here and here!
Also, the New Zealand government has announced a NZ$4 million ($2.4 million) package to promote "The Return of the King." The world premiere will take place in Wellington - home town of the trilogy's director - on Dec. 1, with key events to include a dinner for international media and a prime ministerial reception for the cast and key crew.
"These events will be followed by a series of New Zealand-focused functions and receptions for media and industry leaders coinciding with premieres in 10 overseas cities between December and March," said Pete Hodgson, the cabinet minister in charge of "Lord of the Rings."
"These will be modeled on similar events held around the premieres of the first two 'The Lord of the Rings' movies, which were successful in raising New Zealand's profile as a filmmaking destination."
New Zealand government spending on "Rings" has topped NZ$8 million ($4.8 million) since 2001.

Ach ja, een klein beetje. Was al bekend dat ie zo rond de 3 en een half uur zou gaan duren weer alleen niet of dat toen al officieel was. En dat is het nu dus wel.Maar ik het het meer over het feit dat je opmerkte dat 210 minuten 3,5 uur is.

A deluxe CD DVD edition will contain "The Return Of The King" CD and an exclusive DVD that will feature bonus material including a "The Lord of the Rings" "supertrailer"; a "The Return of the King" photo gallery from the recording sessions; film stills; and poems and lyrics from "The Return Of The King." It will also contain the special feature, "Use Well The Days: A Behind The Scenes Portrait of Howard Shore," a 20-minute documentary focusing on Shore's work in London during the recording of the film score by documentarian Elizabeth Cotnoir; as well as a second Annie Lennox track recorded especially for the DVD. The quick (1 minute) theatrical trailer for ROTK is (not surprisingly) mostly old footage cut in different ways, though there's some new dialogue and a fair amount of fresh material and/or angles on some stuff.For instance, we've seen the front end of Shelob already, but in the teaser they show Frodo in a more frightening and (I thought) more fitting Moria-like dark, staring at a set of glittering eyes as his phial begins to do its thing. This must be right before they start running from her. Elrond delivers his "become who you were born to be" line again, but this time it's laid over that one shot of Aragorn walking into the citadel or whatever looking like he's about to claim his destiny.
The text as I remember does not deviate too much from being along the lines of the initial preview, but there is a very exciting shot of what looks like Merry dragging himself to his knees in the midst of battle to draw his sword....made my heart jump, but they didn't play up the context of it that much, so it was difficult to say anything (especially after just one quick viewing).
I'm going to burn the bridges here, so to speak, so I cannot reveal my sources, but we'll all see it in its all-too-ephemeral glory in about a week anyway.
I know I'm far from being the only one who's seen it, so there'll probably be meatier details leaked out at any rate before the thing hits theaters.

Viel me pas voor het eerst op in FoTR, daarvoor nooit echt bijzonder gevonden. Maar ze ziet er echt zo lief en schattig uit. Heel 'down to earth' mooi. Ze heeft niet echt iets speciaals, maar dat maakt haar oh zo mooi!!
