Premiere magazine talked to director Joe Carnahan and star Tom Cruise about Mission: Impossible 3, the $100 million sequel which Paramount is targeting for a May 6, 2005 release.
Carnahan promises a suspense ride that will feature "all the great things" from the billion-dollar worldwide franchise but be "the most real and ragged of the three."
Cruise has no worries over the challenge he's set. "Joe's very bright, he has endless energy, and he's not afraid to attack a situation and learn as much as he can about it. He's definitely not daunted by it."
Carnahan previously directed Narc. "M:I-3" also stars Ving Rhames, Carrie-Anne Moss, Kenneth Branagh, and Scarlett Johansson. Thanks to 'Invincible' for the heads up.

Deel 1 kan ik idd nog waarderen, met een leuke plottwist. Hopelijk heeft Tom van zijn fouten geleerd en wordt deel 3 zoals deel 1

Director Joe Carnahan (Narc) has dropped out of directing Paramount's Mission: Impossible 3 due to creative differences, says The Hollywood Reporter. The Tom Cruise film remains scheduled to begin shooting as planned next month in Berlin.
In "M-I:3," Cruise is set to reprise his role as secret agent Ethan Hunt, with Scarlett Johansson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Kenneth Branagh and Ving Rhames rounding out the cast. The 1996 original was directed by Brian De Palma, and the 2000 sequel by John Woo.
The news comes shortly after Paramount announced it was shifting the release date of the film by seven weeks, moving it from its original slot in the first week of May to June 29, 2005.
