The original movie was a classy thriller. Adding an erotic angle detracts from the original script.

It is easier to understand anger than to understand sexual arousal, and sex almost as a rule is a stupefying addition to any movie plot. For it to work, sexuality must be attractive to the viewer without qualification. Maybe it's my values, but if something is sleazy it isn't sexy.

is not a good actress--never was. Having her nude throughout most of the movie doesn't help. really, really tries but he's given nothing to work with. looks miserable (understandably) and poor does in famous pool sequence from the original topless. Why? So we could squeeze some more gratuitous female nudity into this.
