Hoe werkt het
Het is hier de bedoeling dat je een vraag stelt over een film en dat je mede-Fok!kers die gaan beantwoorden. Degene wie hem het eerst beantwoord heeft mag de volgende vraag stellen. Er lopen dus niet meerdere vragen tegelijk. Mocht de vragensteller denken dat de vraag te moeilijk is, of dat het te lang duurt, mag hij natuurlijk een tip geven, of zelfs het antwoord geven en een andere vraag bedenken. Dit om de gang een beetje in dit topic te houden.
Als diegene die het goede antwoord gegeven heeft niet binnen een uur geen nieuwe vraag geeft, mag gewoon een willekeurig iemand een vraag bedenken. Anders loopt het topic namelijk een beetje vast

Puntentelling
In principe krijgt iemand voor elke goed beantwoorde vraag één punt. In elke 10e topic tellen de vragen echter dubbel. De puntentelling die gehanteerd wordt hangt af van in welk topic de vraag gesteld is.

Als er vragen gesteld worden, waarvoor meerdere antwoorden nodig zijn, heeft het geen zin om halve antwoorden te plaatsen, gezien je daar alleen maar andere mee helpt en het wordt een beetje een chaos. Daarom had ik eerst liever niet dat deze vragen gesteld werden. Nu is echter gebleken dat het wel goed kan gaan, zie einde topic 43, begin topic 44. Dus als niemand halve antwoorden meer post, mogen wat mij betreft vragen waarvoor meerdere antwoorden nodig zijn gewoon weer.

Welke Film?

This film's been imitated so often because its makers were really at the top of their game. handled the gritty location photography; scripter contributed terse, funny dialogue; scene-stealers like A3, A4, A5 and others made their roles indelible; and 's percussive score set a standard for the genre.

The ending is classic. When you have A1 as your star, this is how to end your movie.

How does it do it? Sheer force of character! A2 is evil, and we know it from the git go. He conveys this to the audience without shooting anyone, kicking a dog, or beating a woman. A1 is a transit cop who is a bit worn down and cynical. But under the cynicism you can sense the toughness and determination. These two characters are the perfect protagonists. Much better than DeNiro and Pacino. It is the tension between these two characters that keep you on the edge of your seat - not the action of which there is very little.

Add to this a great ensemble cast that includes A3, A4 and the city of New York, and a very clever plot with a wonderful little twist at the end, and you have one of the best crime films of the 70s. Hell, you've got one of the best crime films of them all.

And best of all, the film translates well to the small screen. But then, any film that relies on its characters to carry it almost always does.

Right away, this film grabs you and doesn't let go. Every character plays their role remakably and memorably. Enough suspense to keep you chewing your nails until they are stubs...and most of all, a realistic and engrossing storyline. You will literally be on the edge of your seat, wondering where the next plot twist will take you.

You can easily see where Quentin Tarantino borrowed ideas from this movie to make Reservoir Dogs...and in my opinion, this film makes Reservior Dogs look like a second rate film. Its truly a shame most people aren't familiar with this movie and it doesn't have the allure or big star power to draw in new fans seeking out a great film to watch

Art as Life, moviemaking as an artfrom, Life is art. knew this all to well. Perhaps never has a film been so vital or influential in showing us the essence of film as art immitating life. 's movie delves into the infinite possibilities and tries to explain what we all grapple with in the creative process and the hidden dreams and fantasies that exist within our own subconscious.

Words can't even express the beautiful complexity of . It is one of the few films that transcends film. For true lovers of the movies who genuinely appreciate film as an art form this movie is infinitely rewarding. Every time I watch it I discover something new. Every time it ends I am left in awe of 's ability to express ideas and feelings that one would think couldn't be expressed on film.

There is so much beneath the surface of this movie. It's only more remarkable if you know the background involving it's making. marks a transformation in . But it is not simply 's transformation as a director (from neo-realism to surrealism or " ") but also a transformation as a person. As a man. The transformation spurs from an issue that we all must deal with: the ongoing conflict that results from trying to please ourselves and also please the one's we love. It sounds simple but we all no it's not.

I can't even begin to touch on all the marvels of this film and that is probably a good thing. Discover them for yourselves. Study this movie. I have only seen a handful of films that I would consider perfect and even stands out among them.

moeilijk hoor, wat vinden zij nou de perfecte film?

Throughout the film you keep wondering whether the director, the main character is either living through the moment or dreaming it. When you want to figure out the motives behind the title, the things the director or the other characters say, you almost need to read through a biography of . And even then it's pure speculation since it's "just a story"...

Beautiful women, magnificent scenes and camera positions, excellent choice of music. And then the plot, full of psychological references to probably the private life of . Cleverly done although it might seem to be a disaster. Not everyone will enjoy it though, it lacks the pace and action of modern Hollywood movies but it's worth a view if you want to see something else than the 'good guy winning some battle and rescuing the girl at the end of the movie'.

This is a beautiful movie about the pain of movie-making. The dream sequences are incredible and far ahead of their time. This film is one of the reasons could possibly be the best director of all time.

This is his most personal and heartfelt attempt. The viewer is really able to walk around in his mind during this movie and understand him better. As with many things in life, there are scenes that are terrifying and beautiful at the same time.

is the definitive Italian masterpiece and will always have its place in the list of the greatest films of all time.

It had WAY too much profanity and sex. What was the point? It had a great storyline but the profanity and sex made it bad. I thought all the actors did pretty good jobs but the raunchy parts just made it suck. This movie was also too long. I think it could've been shortened to at least an hour and a half. Why did character have too be such a player? Why did character become a porn star? I hated this movie so much and I don't want to say any more about it.

I was completely enthralled by this movie. It has the elements of a classic Greek tragedy, or maybe Shakespeare and even a little bit of the old Testament Book of Job going for it, all in a very dynamic, colorful, watchable way. The hero, , descends deeper and deeper into despair, his "tragic flaw", in this case, maybe his overactive sex drive. You really gotta feel for the guy and at the same time, see that he contributes to his own fate. The movie is about loyalty in a stronger way than it is about fidelity, although fans of can't seem to get past this fact. recreates the mood, the character and the feel of a New York City summer exactly right. The characters behave in a very convincing way. One can feel some compassion for just about anybody in this movie since they are simply "us" at some level. I have never before seen a movie, but believe me, I am now a fan! In two words, this movie is f***ing great!

I have seen recently '54' which was set in the same period - late 70s, and presented simi-lar aspects of the conflict between the Manhattan drug, sex and violence culture, and the periphery of NYC. That was a good film also, but is better. Director brings to life a collection of strong characters, mostly young, trying to make their way in life, in an envi-ronment where morality has no meaning in the way 'normal' people see it, but still friendship, faith and clan solidarity have their role, in a different way. The environment is tested by the disturbing murders that a serial killer commits at night. The suspicion falls on the different, and the best part of the movie underlines this conflict between prejudice and truth. All this is well paced and logically rendered in a film that may look extreme in violence, language or sex content, but succeeds well if you accept the film norms. A good team of actors does its job well, and the music is here not only to bring back the 70s atmosphere, but also to direct the action and put the right accent in place. I liked the movie.

The cinematography is stunning- are women better DP's?-SOS argues YES, the acting is wonderful, and best of all the soundtrack is perfect for paranoia. The Who were used better in SOS than Quadrophenia!!!! Time travel with this joint- it seems created as much fear in 1977 as the Ripper did in turn of the century London...

Let me start off by saying that this was a o.k. movie and certainly not the best, I will not bragg like some other users do (I have a feeling).Very much like Studio 54,but a lot more violent and from the very beginning we all know who the killer is just by reading a his-tory book before watching the movie. And that kind of takes away the fun of the movie and all we get a bunch of screaming rebel rousing New Yorkers who then start accusing each other of being the killer. The film then becomes a enjoyable circus especially the lynch mob scene at the end.

As a discerning film-viewer, I have to personally say that I thoroughly enjoy it, regardless of the number of times I've seen it. Matter of fact, I just purchased it on DVD, and it was well worth it. (My only disappointment is that there aren't any deleted scenes included. I love to see what was left on the editing floor.) Anyhow, the characters are well developed, the filmography is enjoyable as well as engaging, and the storyline is excellent -- clever, intriguing, and original.

Bear in mind that it is a comedy, and there are certain parts that border between the obviously comedic and the subtly dramatic. But such is the nature of the beast with a comedic thriller. I'd actually say it's the best of its genre -- and seeing as the genre itself isn't teeming with truly good films -- I don't think I'll be overly opposed.

this movie is unbelievable! after a couple of minutes, you´ll get into the movie and enjoy it like a long perfect joyride. the plotline is so perfect, especially in the end during the hospitalscene, when everything comes together, past and present. the special effects are perfect, no wonder as is the director. the only thing is, can anyone explain the first scene to me? it doesn´t make any sense, considering the rest of the movie.

Misschien in Amerika al op dvd ..... ?

It's not the kind of film you'd expect from , but it's a film you SHOULD expect from . =)

I really love the way this film mixes many clichés and many fresh ideas into one interconnected story. Of course, it's not an art film like , but it's very entertaining and everything is in the right place.

It creates its own world with weird rules which is crazy and intelligent at the same time. (Can a ghost kill another ghost? Of course he can! He just needs a ghost UZI. =)

Most action films accept the fact that their plots are stupid and unrealistic, so they just cram in a bunch of gunfights and explosions and hope the audience doesn't notice. That's just how action movies are. But film really pushes the limit of stupidity. The acting is terrible, excluding who makes a very good bad guy. But I have to admit the movie was pretty entertaining no matter how dumb it got (example, a speed boat chase through a ). Rent it only if you're willing to shut down the "logic" part of your brain and open the "dumb" part.

You notice how Ebert has his great movies section in his site, well if I was to have a sec-tion like that, this would be the first film to put in it (among a couple of dozen though, so don't be nervous). While of course there are other great drug films: Traffic (which de-served best picture), Boogie Nights, GoodFellas (which even though is my #1 is in many other genres), Half Baked, Blow, and any other movie other than . But this one gets on the top of my list by just telling it straight. While of course some is exagerrated for comedy, represent the average Joe who wants some dope and has trouble usually get-ting it around town (unlike say Half Baked, which was a little unrealistic in that they were hallucinating and always getting pot.

The first eleven minutes of this movie must be the funniest in the history of comedy. I don't know if I've ever seen anything funnier in my entire life! Evertime I watch it, I laugh so hard that I think I will puke and die. Uh, but in a GOOD way.

I first saw this movie when I was 12 I didn't think much of it cause i didn't really like movies that much back then. But now I watch and it's really funny especially the scene with the 1/4 pounder (insider).
