Goldfrapp have just confirmed their new album is called ‘Supernature’ and will bereleased on 22nd August 2005.
Alison says the title came to her in a recent dream and describes ‘Supernature’ as “An uber world of sound and hybrid creatures. It’s a place to take part in fortnightly disco séances, where people dance with spirits and howl like beasts of the forest wearing lycra and stilettos.”

Goldfrapp have been announced as headliners of the TDK Cross Central festival in Kings Cross on Saturday August 27th. Day tickets are priced £30 – ticket hotline 020 7833 9944 http://www.tdkcrosscentral.co.uk when they tour this Autumn.

Dit wordt een beetje de nieuwe look van Goldfrapp. Ze heeft ook haar wenkbrauwen afgsechoren of heel licht gekleurd... Typisch Goldfrapp, maar echt kapot ervan ben ik nog niet.
Als de muziek maar goed is.

It's a total corker but let us state very clearly and for the record (etc) that 'Ooh La La' is NOT the best song on the new Goldfrapp album. Suspend your disbelief, viewers, because 'Supernature' is the best album we've heard this year.
Not even the best pop album, although it obviously is. Just the best album period. It might even be perfect. The standout tracks are all of them, but at a push we'd say that we particularly love 'Number One' and 'Ride A White Horse'.
We could go on about this all day but to be quite frank the sun's out and we have better things to be doing - for the time being just go here and buy some tickets to see Goldfrapp live in October because the shows will be totally unmissable.

Het doet me erg aan Shoot From The Hip van Sophie Ellis Bextor denken, maar dat plaatje zoog verschrikkelijk. Ik weet zeker dat Supernature dat niet doet!
Ik vind de foto juist heel erg Madonna-achtig. Maar dat weet jij natuurlijk wel of dat ook echt zo is.

Ja, het heeft wel wat van Madonna weg. Het is dan ook weer grappig dat, zoals je in mijn avatar kunt zien, Madonna in haar laatste shoot er weer als Alison in haar Black Cherry periode uitziet.

In de Oor van deze maand staat dat ze op de redactie deze maand al naar Ooh La La hebben geluisterd. *jaloers*.
