First, I apologize for writing in english. I know this is a dutch forum, but I'm still learning. I haven't been in the Netherlands long, having come from another country in search of a better future.

I was advised to post my case here because I need advice. The temporary employment agency I came with didn't honor the contract. What was supposed to be a full-time job with my own room turned into odd days for which I haven't even been paid, and they terminated the contract with the excuse that the company didn't need any more staff at that time. Several of us have had the same problem. Some are returning to their countries or looking for something different with the help of family or contacts, but personally, I'm devastated.

I came with nothing, as I was ruined in my country (I'm 28 years old), and here I have nowhere to go and no way to find work. I don't have any contacts here to find out about my labor rights or to file a complaint because I don't think they can do anything about it.

If you know of any charity that provides food or clothing, I would be very grateful. It took me a lot of effort to save up to get here, and this situation has caught me with very few resources.
Obviously, this is real, and I can prove it without any problem. Happy holidays to everyone.

Kick to Werk, Geldzaken, Recht en de Beurs for not having been paid and basically a breach of contract?

For charity you could try FOK!kers helpen FOK!kers or look around for clothing banks, Leger Des Heils or other foundations in the city where you stay now.
If you are homeless, you could for instance start selling homeless newspapers at supermarkets (something what many people don't like to be confronted with but at least it will earn you a bit.)

Going back to your own country might perhaps indeed be the best. How were you ruined there? Financially so you have no money for a trip back and build your life up there again?

Good luck!

Usually I'd be trolling around with the rest of the people here when I see a topic from a new English speaking member because normally it's spam, but this seems it could possibly be real.

How did you find this website anyway?

I lost my job because the job market in my country is bad and I couldn't keep paying rent. I don't have any close family and I decided to come here looking for a better future, but I never thought it would end like this...
