Het vervelende is dat DACA zelf nog steeds gevaar loopt omdat de 5th Circuit (Appeals Court) vorig jaar geoordeeld heeft dat het programma ongrondwettelijk is omdat het niet door het Congres goedgekeurd is waar de Republikeinen dat natuurlijk tegenhielden. Obama heeft het destijds als Executive Order uitgevaardigd juist omdat het Congres hierin faalde.quote:

Het programma mag nog wel doorgaan zolang de juridische procedure nog loopt maar de kans dat de Supreme Court iets anders zal oordelen lijkt me niet groot in de huidige samenstelling en intussen zijn er dus al staten (ook Texas) die vast vooruit lopen op dat besluit
