Trump beschadigen?

Judge lets inspection of 2020 Dominion voting machines take place

quote:
The pursuit of the truth about the 2020 presidential election – was there or was there not undue influence or manipulation of the results? – has moved one step forward after a ruling from a court in Pennsylvania that a county's voting machines can be inspected.

The Amistad Project, which has been focused on election integrity since before the 2020 ballots were counted, announced that the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania is allowing the Project and Fulton County to send the county's Dominion voting machines to the state Senate for inspection.

"The court recognized that it was improper to demand that the county – which owns the machines, and has the responsibility of running the election along with the legislature – can’t determine whether the machines worked properly," said Phill Kline, director of The Amistad Project. "As the judge noted, there’s no justification for preventing the county from looking at their own machines."

The inspection had been scheduled for earlier this month but the state attorney general and secretary of state oddly sued to prevent any such move to affirm the accuracy of the 2020 election results.

quote:
It's now set for Jan. 10.

That's after a judge determined that the review must be allowed to proceed, with a short delay to allow experts from both sides to come up with a formal protocol for the inspection.

"Executive branch officials were trying to stop the inspection altogether, but the judge did not grant their emergency motion to stop the inspection," explained Amistad Project attorney Tom King. "They did not go to court seeking a delay; they sought to stop it, and they lost."

The Amistad Project began in 2018 and now reports it has ongoing litigation "against a shadow government that interfered with the 2020 election."

Kline commented on social media about the situation, noting that investigators with the state senate now can review the operations of the machines.

He also noted a Wisconsin judge will rule soon on whether Special Counsel Gableman, a former state Supreme Court justice appointed by lawmakers to review voting irregularities in that state, will be able to compel testimony from public officials who have refused to cooperate.

There have been claims made about the accuracy of the Dominion voting machines as they were used in multiple states where anomalous results were documented on election day in 2020.

The project also explains some of the other suspicious circumstances, including the fact that Mark Zuckerberg of Meta spent some $420 million to influence the election results.

The organization reported that IRS filings document he funded a "shadow government" by turning over $350 million to the Center for Tech and Civic Life, and more to another group, which then forwarded the cash to various progressives running various state and local election offices.

"CTCL is only the tip of the iceberg," Kline explained recently. "The left’s shadow government operated though scores of nonprofits, and so far The Amistad Project has identified well over $1 billion in monies, expertise, and technical support from leftist nonprofits to election officials. The result was that America was kicked out of the counting room, and billionaires were allowed in."

"CTCL, which grew out of the George Soros-funded New Organizing Institute, used its windfall to distribute grants to election officials at the municipal and county level, bypassing state legislatures," the Project explained. "The earliest – and by far the largest – grants went to deep-blue urban areas of key swing states. The grant agreements obligated the recipients to use a large portion of the money for voter turnout operations targeted at specific demographics of voters who could reliably be expected to vote for Joe Biden, effectively turning local election offices into partisan get-out-the-vote centers."

Just the News reported the state officials trying to stop the inspection of the voting machines earlier had been accused of punishing Fulton County for concerns about the election integrity.

They decertified county voting machines following a third-party audit organized by local officials.

Martin Walsh, in a commentary at Conservative Brief, said the decision was a major victory for accountability and transparency in elections.

In a separate case pending in Denver that involves Dominion, the plaintiffs, from Michigan, have accused the company of violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act.

They also charge the company intimidated its critics after the 2020 elections by sending cease and desist letters to those who expressed criticism of the company.

The complaint states, “Generally, Plaintiffs are everyday Americans. They are fathers, mothers, daughters, and sons. They are the neighbor you say good morning to on your way to work. They are Americans trying to participate in a public debate about election integrity and security. Plaintiffs have been intimidated from participating in the debate, however, because of Dominion."

The plaintiffs claim Dominion sent intimidating letters and used the threat of litigation to "chill the free speech" of those critical of the election.

Breaking Exclusive: Election Fraud Investigators Blanket State with Surprise Subpoenas

quote:
The investigation into Wisconsin’s elections is still ongoing as special counsel Michael Gableman continues looking into how voting in the state was carried out in the 2020 general election.

Gableman is now issuing about 70 subpoenas to state entities and employees, special interest groups, private companies, mayoral staffers and IT departments, throughout Wisconsin to obtain records, depositions and more information on the election process and organizations that seem to have had a hand in the administration of elections.

Gableman, who was previously a Wisconsin Supreme Court justice, was asked by Speaker of the Wisconsin state Assembly Robin Vos to lead an investigation into the 2020 election in the state. Gableman agreed and was appointed as special counsel.

The investigation is looking into several components of what went on during the election. Gableman is looking into how Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and the money he donated to the Center for Tech and Civic Life influenced the election, what the Wisconsin Election Commission was doing, the conduct of the mayors and the municipal clerks, the operation of the voting machines and other factors which might have influenced the election.

Wisconsin elections are not administered by the secretary of state, like in other states. Instead, Wisconsin’s Government Accountability Board works in collaboration with 1,853 municipal clerks, 72 county clerks and numerous election inspectors during election season.

Many municipal clerks throughout the state live in very small towns, but in contrast, there are clerks in Wisconsin’s five biggest cities: Madison, Racine, Kenosha, Green Bay and Milwaukee. The clerks, however, are not independent authorities and report to the mayor, the city’s common council or the state elections commission.

Now Gableman is specifically looking into these cities’ mayors, clerks and staffers and how they might have been influenced by funding from the CTCL, which, thanks to generous donations from Zuckerberg, gave approximately $350 million to communities to run elections.

A source close to the investigation told The Western Journal that, in short, CTCL approached these five Wisconsin cities and offered $8.8 million grants to help keep voters safe from COVID. The group reportedly offered this money even though the source said the federal government, under the Trump administration, had already given $7 million to make sure clerks had enough PPE, sanitation and anything else needed to keep voters safe from COVID-19.

According to the source, each mayor of the five cities took “good faith” money. Racine allegedly received $60,000 and the other four cities received $10,000 each. Once they took this initial grant, CTCL sent questionnaires to see if the five cities then qualified for the full $8.8 million grant, the source said.

The questionnaire asked what the city was going to do to drive up the vote in what they deemed were historically disenfranchised neighborhoods, according to the source.

Gableman already issued subpoenas to the mayors of the cities. The next round of subpoenas that have just been issued, according to the source, is to mayoral staffers and IT departments in order to find information on how the cities used the money from CTCL.

Already, hundreds of pages of emails between Milwaukee election officials and CTCL have been made public.

Another part of the election that Gableman is looking into, according to the source, is concerns regarding the Wisconsin Election Commission, which has also been issued a subpoena in order to see the voting data in the state and specifically, to see the rolls of registered, active and inactive voters.

Deactivated voters include those who are dead or have moved away. According to the Help America Vote Act passed in 2002, states are supposed to have voter records. But dead voters should not be on the rolls of voters. So the source said Gableman is subpoenaing WEC in order to have access to the voter rolls.

The source told The Western Journal that the most recent subpoenas Gableman issued were all in-state for the WEC, mayoral staffers, IT records and more. But while the subpoenas issued are all in-state, Gableman’s team anticipates additional subpoenas for others involved in the election, the source said.

One major player in the election was the companies that ran the machines, such as Dominion Voting Systems. Gableman’s investigation is subpoenaing the companies in order to know exactly how the machines work and check the security of the systems, according to the source.

Gableman is also looking into other figures and organizations (including CTCL itself) from out of state who may have had a hand in ballot harvesting and other roles in the election, the source said. His team is allegedly working on getting subpoenas for these.

The source close to the investigation said the team is expecting pushback on every single subpoena issued, but as that happens, the investigation will continue. According to the source, the group will move on to the higher courts as necessary, in order to keep investigating all of what went on in the 2020 election.

GOP Election Audit Demands Info on Dominion Voting Machines in Cities That Don't Use Them
quote:
A review of the 2020 election launched by State Assembly Republicans in Wisconsin subpoenaed officials for information on Dominion Voting Systems machines in cities that don't use them.

Former state Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman—who is leading the GOP-backed election review—issued the subpoenas this week against officials in Green Bay and Madison as well as other state agencies and municipalities, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on Friday. Although Green Bay and Madison do not use Dominion machines, the subpoenas demanded that the cities provide their serial numbers and details about software updates, as well as communications with the voting systems company.

"The City of Madison uses the ES&S DS200 tabulator and the ES&S ExpressVote. Dominion voting machines are not used in Madison, Wisconsin," City Clerk Maribeth Witzel-Behl confirmed to Newsweek in a Saturday email.

The subpoenas from Gableman included a number of other "errors" and misspelled or wrong names for some officials, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Despite leading the audit of the 2020 election, Gableman previously admitted that he does not have a good understanding of how the process works in Wisconsin.

"Most people, myself included, do not have a comprehensive understanding or even any understanding of how elections work," Gableman told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in October. The former judge has been given a $676,000 taxpayer budget for his election review.

"Attorney Gableman and his team are yet again demonstrating that they have learned nothing about election administration in Wisconsin. Their 'investigation' is a waste of time and taxpayer dollars," Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway told Newsweek.

Right-wing conspiracy theorists, fueled by former President Donald Trump's claims of widespread fraud in the 2020 election, have claimed that Dominion helped Democrats "steal" votes for President Joe Biden. These claims have been consistently debunked and discredited by election experts, and Trump allies have not provided evidence substantiating the allegations.

While Trump and various Republicans contend that the last presidential election in Wisconsin was fraudulent, previous recounts and audits have consistently reaffirmed Biden's relatively narrow win in the swing state. Biden won the Midwestern state by a margin just shy of 21,000 votes. Although Trump narrowly carried the state in 2016, Democratic presidential candidates had won there in every election going back to 1988.

GOP state senator Robert Cowles, a co-chair for the Legislature's Audit Committee that conducted a review of the 2020 election, confirmed in October that his committee did not uncover any significant fraud. "Despite concerns with statewide elections procedures, this audit showed us that the election was largely safe and secure," Cowles tweeted at the time.

Similarly, a Republican-aligned group--the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty--released a report in December that concluded there was "no evidence of fraudulent ballots or widespread voter fraud." That 10-month review uncovered only limited instances in which ineligible people tried to cast ballots in Wisconsin, with most of those ballots being rejected. Those reviewers confirmed there were no significant issues with voting machines in the state.

Nonetheless, many conservatives insist there was significant fraud in the last presidential election in Wisconsin and across the country. Trump and his allies--such as MyPillow founder Mike Lindell, former White House strategist Steve Bannon and retired Lt. General Michael Flynn--continue to claim that the election was stolen for Biden. No evidence has emerged to corroborate the allegation.

To the contrary, more than 60 election challenge lawsuits filed by the former president and his supporters failed in state and federal courts. Even judges appointed by Trump and other Republicans have dismissed the lawsuits. Meanwhile, audits and recounts in states across the country--including in places where the elections were overseen by pro-Trump Republicans--have consistently reaffirmed Biden's victory.
Komt helemaal goed :')

Bernard Kerik provides batch of documents to Jan. 6 select committee

The former New York City Police commissioner also provided a "privilege log" describing materials
he declined to provide to the committee.

quote:
A key adviser to Donald Trump's legal team in their post-election quest to unearth evidence of fraud has delivered a trove of documents to Jan. 6 investigators describing those efforts.

Bernard Kerik, the former New York City Police commissioner and ally of Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, also provided a "privilege log" describing materials he declined to provide to the committee.

Among the withheld documents is one titled "DRAFT LETTER FROM POTUS TO SEIZE EVIDENCE IN THE INTEREST OF NATIONAL SECURITY FOR THE 2020 ELECTIONS." Kerik's attorney Timothy Parlatore provided the privilege log to the panel, which said the file originated on Dec. 17, a day before Trump huddled in the Oval Office with advisers including former Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, where they discussed the option of seizing election equipment in states whose results Trump was attempting to overturn.

Trump ultimately opted against that strategy, but his consideration of the option is one of the key questions the panel is probing as part of its broader investigation into attempts to overturn the election.

It's unclear whether the letter is related to the same plan and if Trump knew of its existence. Kerik withheld it, describing it as privileged because of its classification as "attorney work product."

Another document provided by Kerik to the panel included emails between Kerik and associates about paying for rooms at the Willard Hotel. Kerik had been subpoenaed by the panel on Nov. 8 as part of its investigation into the so-called war room at the Willard Hotel, where Trump allies met to strategize about preventing Congress from certifying Joe Biden's victory. The panel had originally sent a letter accompanying the subpoena that had incorrectly suggested Kerik was in the war room on Jan. 5, leading Kerik to demand an apology.

The Jan. 6 select committee declined to comment on the new materials.

As part of a seven-page letter to the panel, Parlatore told the committee the former police commissioner would accept a voluntary interview with the panel on Jan. 13, 2022, though he expressed concerns about the conditions of the interview and whether a transcript and recording would be released immediately after, or whether Parlatore could make his own recording of the proceedings.

According to Parlatore, the panel retracted its agreement for a voluntary interview and demanded a deposition instead after he sent his letter to the committee. He expressed dismay at the committee's retraction of the voluntary interview.

"They seem more interested in creating an appearance of noncompliance than conducting an actual investigation," he said in a text message.

Another 22-page document, titled "STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS PLAN - GIULIANI PRESIDENTIAL LEGAL DEFENSE TEAM," describes a 10-day blitz aimed at Republican House and Senate members to pressure them to vote against certifying the 2020 election results. The effort was focused, according to the document, on six swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The document says its primary channels to disseminate messaging on these efforts included "presidential tweets" as well as talk radio, conservative bloggers, social media influencers, Trump campaign volunteers and other media allies. A list of "key team members" supporting the effort included "Freedom Caucus Members" -- a reference to the group of hardline House conservatives, some of whom backed Trump's effort to overturn the election.

Other team members listed include: Rudy Giuliani, "Peter Navarro Team" and "identified legislative leaders" in each of the six swing states.

The document also described a list of actions the group intended to organize, including "protests at weak members' homes," "protests at local officials homes/offices" and "protests in DC - rally for key House and Senate members."

It is unclear if Kerik would appear for a deposition instead of an interview. A Dec. 23 letter to the panel from Parlatore had included disputed claims that the Jan. 6 panel was structurally invalid and called its deposition process "fatally flawed." The panel has previously rejected those arguments.

Parlatore declined to comment on the withheld documents but said they hoped the committee would agree to conditions allowing the full disclosure of all documents.

These so-called "citizen canvasses" are the latest twist in the effort by Trump's supporters to advance claims -- pushed by the former President himself -- that he lost the 2020 election through voter fraud. Federal, state and location election officials all have said there's no evidence of widespread election fraud that would have affected the outcome of the presidential election.

quote:
A key figure in the door-to-door to canvassing push, Ohio scientist Douglas Frank, said the effort is rapidly spreading.

Frank, who has gained prominence in Trump world with his theories about a stolen election, says he has trained teams in 30 states so far on how to examine their voting rolls to uncover potential fraud and more have asked for help. It's part of his claim that state voter registration rolls have been inflated with fraudulent or "phantom" voters.

Frank, who is on sabbatical from his job teaching math and science at a K-12 private school in the Cincinnati area, has gained notoriety for his election fraud theories. He appeared on stage earlier this year at a Trump rally in Lorain County, Ohio. But a review of Michigan's 2020 election led by Republican state lawmakers described Frank's conclusions as "not sound."

During a recent legislative hearing in Wisconsin, Frank described the door-knocking as the best way to uncover the fraud he claims has infiltrated the US election system.

"How would you know whether or not somebody had submitted a ballot in someone else's name? There's really only one way to know," Frank told members of the Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections. "You have to go knock on the door and ask them: 'Did you submit this ballot or not?' "
