Using molecular modeling approaches, we show that enhancing antibodies have a higher affinity for Delta variants than for Wuhan/D614G NTDs.
We show that enhancing antibodies reinforce the binding of the spike trimer to the host cell membrane by clamping the NTD to lipid raft microdomains. This stabilizing mechanism may facilitate the conformational change that induces the demasking of the receptor binding domain. As the NTD is also targeted by neutralizing antibodies, our data suggest that the balance between neutralizing and facilitating antibodies in vaccinated individuals is in favor of neutralization for the original Wuhan/D614G strain.
However, in the case of the Delta variant, neutralizing antibodies have a decreased affinity for the spike protein, whereas facilitating antibodies display a strikingly increased affinity. A tennis star has admitted he does not know when he will return to the sport and fears he may have to bring forward his retirement because of health problems he says he has suffered since taking the Pfizer Covid vaccine.
World number 73 Jeremy Chardy has become the latest tennis star to speak out against vaccines after experiencing what he describes as violent, near-paralyzing pains across his body since taking the jab, warning that there is "no hindsight" once people have received the treatment.
The 34-year-old says he his priority is to "take care of myself" after seing two doctors and taking tests in a bid to deduce why he has found physical exertion so difficult since being vaccinated.
"Suddenly I cannot train, I cannot play," the 2017 Davis Cup winner told AFP, explaining that he received the jab between this summer's Olympics, when he was beaten by gold medalist Alex Zverev in the quarterfinals, and the US Open, when he lost in straight sets in the first round to Matteo Berrettini at the end of August.
"In my head, it's difficult because I do not know how long it will last. For the moment, my season is stopped and I do not know when I will resume.
"It's frustrating because I started the year really well, I was playing really well. And then I went to the Games, where I felt great too.
"And now my season is at a standstill and I do not know when I will resume. It is especially frustrating that I do not have ten years to play... suddenly, now I regret having had the vaccine, but I could not know [what the consequences would be]."

The Health Ministry may ask newly vaccinated people to avoid exercise for a week due to a small number of myocarditis cases.
Individuals vaccinated with the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine may be asked to avoid strenuous exercise and other physical activity for one week after receiving each dose due to cases of myocarditis that were detected in a small percentage of vaccinated people, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
In a slide deck prepared for the Health Ministry’s advisory committee for epidemic control and coronavirus vaccines, which the Post reviewed, some health officials in the Epidemiology Division of the Health Ministry are recommending that individuals “avoid strenuous activity for one week after their second dose of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.”
Casual walking, stretching, working while standing and housework would all be acceptable.
If accepted, the guidelines that are given to vaccinated people after getting the jab would be updated.
The recommendation comes on the heels of a study published late Wednesday night showing that one dose of the Pfizer vaccine increased the risk of heart inflammation – however, cases were usually mild and the majority were among young males.
“We recommend that everyone, in particular adolescents and young men aged under 30 avoid strenuous activity, such as intense exercise, for one week after the first and second doses,” the slide deck said.
It defined high-intensity exercise as circuit training, vigorous forms of weight training, sprinting and swimming longer distances.
The officials said that high-functioning athletes that would be concerned about losing their conditioning could consider “downgrading their level of exercise” to a low intensity.
A member of the vaccine panel told the Post that although the matter would be discussed at the next meeting, most committee members are currently opposed to it.

En weer iemand die van een dokter te horen krijgt dat zijn serieuze klachten waarschijnlijk komen door "anxiety":

Is dit 1 van de redenen waarom sommige mensen ernstige bijwerkingen hebben? De prik wordt blijkbaar niet altijd goed in het spierweefsel gezet en komt daardoor sneller in de bloedbaan terecht:
