Dan is er nog maar ruimte voor 13 personen, waarvan BoJo wel 1 zal zijn, dus dan blijven er nog 12 plekken over, en dat bij iemand die zelf ook aan diverse koningshuizen verweven is.

Zou mij niks verbazen als The Queen nog 5 á 10 jaar leeft zonder haar man. Dat lijkt me zo’n bikkel. Niets negatiefs hoor.

Bij mijn weten was hij niet dement. Lichamelijke klachten genoeg, maar volgens mij was hij mentaal nog zeer bij de tijd. Hij heeft jaren geleden al aangegeven geen staatsbegrafenis te willen. In ieder geval een zo bescheiden mogelijke begrafenis.quote:

Wat dat betreft zorgt corona er helaas voor dat het echt het absoluut minimale is.
Ik hoop dat koningin Elizabeth het redt zonder haar man. Prins Harry heeft ooit gezegd dat ze het zonder hem niet zou kunnen, we zullen zien.

Hij was de jongste, dus dat zijn zussen overleden zijn lijkt me vrij logisch, de ene is in de jaren 30 al (met haar volledige gezin) overleden, van de oudste zus is waarschijnlijk nog 1 kind in leven, van de volgende zus mogelijk nog 2, degene die daarna kwam is degene die met haar hele gezin overleden is, en zijn er nog de kinderen van de zus die boven hem kwam (hij was overigens een nakomelingetje, want zijn jongste zus was 7 jaar ouder), maar daarvan leven waarschijnlijk nog 6 kinderen, en dat zijn dus allemaal neven en nichten die oom tegen hem moesten zeggen, dat zijn dus weer 9 personen.quote:

Mijn gedachte is dat hij zo min mogelijk mensen bij zijn begrafenis wilde hebben. Dan komt deze coronacrisis wel goed uit

Dit is hun 2e ontmoeting, in 1939. Daarna ontstond hun vriendschap.
