Het is eigenlijk pas de tweede film die over deze soort konvooien werd gemaakt. De eerste was Cruel Sea naar het boek van Nicolas Montsarrat in de jaren 50. Greyhound gaat over een commandant (Hanks) van een escorte groep die zo'n konvooi over de Atlantic moet zien te loodsen. De meeste van zijn ondergeschikten zijn jonge veteranen in dit werk, terwijl hijzelf lange tijd langs de kant heeft gestaan en pas in de oorlogsjaren weer in actieve dienst trad.

Deze vent heb ik herontdekt in de serie Yellowstone, waar hij een weergaloze bijrol heeft naast Kevin Costner. Wie is deze man en noem me vier films.

- hij zit o.a. in de low budget sci-fi film waar Vin Diesel mee doorbrak.
- hij is de schurk een van de vele FF films (een van de films waar Diesel juist NIET in zat)
- tot m'n eigen verbazing is hij ook lid van het vriendenclubje rond een gemankeerd wiskundegenie in de achterbuurten van Boston
- hij speelt een SEAL in een actiefilm van en met Bruce Willis

Die hard 2 is niet goed, het was geen film uit die reeks, maar een oorlogsfilm met Willis die in Afrika de boel aan flarden knalt.
Fast & Furious daar zat Diesel wel in, dus niet goed. Wel heeeel dichtbij
Volgende hint: die film met dat wiskundegenie was de doorbraak voor drie acteurs o.a. de broers Affleck.

No, veel ouder dan the Expendables, veel serieuzer ook. Monica Bellucci zat er ook in als vn arts.
