Congressional staffers had planned to ask questions about the shifting explanations and wanted to receive a global threat assessment for U.S. personnel. The State Department agreed to provide the briefing, then said Tuesday that it would not do so, the House aide said.
Press aides to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Wednesday.

Ik heb ook gehoord of gelezen dat het officieel overhandigen na al het ceremoniėle uitnodigen en overhandigen een mooi fofo-momentje zou zijn, een dat regelrecht de geschiedenisboeken in zou gaan, maar dat Trump fotograferen verboden heeft. Maar ik weet niet meer waar ik dat gehoord of gelezen heb, dus ik weet niet of dat echt waar is, of een losse gedachte van iemand.
