MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 10 March 2020 - Infront Moto Racing sadly informs that due to the coronavirus outbreak, the MXGP of Patagonia - Argentina, scheduled on March the 21st and 22nd has also been postponed. The new date for the Argentinian round will be announced shortly.
Owing to a decision of the Argentinian Minister of Health to postpone any international events during this particular moment, Infront Moto Racing, in agreement with the FIM and the local organiser +Eventos SA, as well as the Argentinian authorities, is enforced to postpone the MXGP of Patagonia in Argentina to a later date in the year.
Infront Moto Racing along with the FIM and the national organizers are working very close to preserve the health of all those involved in the FIM Motocross World Championship as well as the Championship programme as much as they can; the aim is to find a feasible date that will see the MXGP calendar extend in 2020. More information on an exact date will be announced very soon.
The International situation has been monitored on a daily basis by the Promoter of the FIM Motocross World Championship and the FIM. More details on the new date will be released shortly, but in the meantime, once again, we ask everybody for a great sense of responsibility.

On May 14, 2020, the Feld Motor Sports announced the season would finish with seven races over May and June behind closed doors. These races will be held at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, which was to have hosted just Round 17 on May 2. Six venues lost their events.

2020 MXGP Calendar Update: MXGP of China Cancelled
quote:MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 12th June 2020 – Infront Moto Racing regrets to inform that the 2020 MXGP of China has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The much-anticipated Chinese Grand Prix will however make a return to the MXGP racing calendar next season, with the Chinese Federation (CAMF) and H&H Sports Protection Group LTD committed to host the fantastic event from 2021.
Additionally, the MXGP of Russia will be moved from the 2nd of August to a later date in October/November, with a confirmed scheduling of the event to be announced based on the evolution of the pandemic and the possibility of travel.
Infront Moto Racing, along with the FIM and the FIM Europe, is working closely with the local governments, national federations and the local organisers on a daily basis to have a final calendar in the coming weeks to continue the awaited 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship.
Infront Moto Racing’s goal is to hold with 10-12 events set to take place in Europe between the middle of August and the end of October, including the best off road event of the year, the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations which is held in Ernèe, France on September the 26th and 27th. Then moving further into the schedule between November and beginning of December and following the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 MXGP Calendar will feature the farther stops including selected overseas events.
The European rounds of the MXGP/MX2 World Championships and the European Championships will be announced by the end of June. We thank you all for your patience and we look forward to making a return to racing the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship very soon.

. De info daar vond ik ten eerste nogal summier en ging daarnaast eigenlijk maar tot 2017/2018 terwijl er inmiddels al dingen veranderd kunnen zijn. Volgens mij klopt de uitleg over SX in de OP ook niet meer.Heb uiteindelijk dit gebruikt. Super handig!

Het wereldkampioenschap motorcross gaat volgende maand weer van start en in aanloop naar de derde WK-ronde in Kegums staat er in Nederland twee opwarmraces op het programma. Tijdens die wedstrijden komt Glenn Coldenhoff weer in actie.
Op 9 augustus wordt de MXGP weer hervat in Kegums, Letland. De eerste drie GP’s worden binnen een week afgewerkt op de zanderige omloop waar Herlings en Coldenhoff hun eerste MXGP-zege wisten te behalen. Om rijders de mogelijkheid te bieden om alvast op wedstrijdsnelheid te komen, worden er trainingswedstrijden georganiseerd.
In overleg met Infront Moto Racing heeft de KNMV twee warm-up races georganiseerd op vergelijkbare ondergronden. 26 juli wordt op Motorsportpark Gelderland Midden in Arnhem gereden, op 2 augustus staat een wedstrijd in het Zeeuwse Axel gepland.

Zo zullen in ieder geval oud-wereldkampioen Romain Febvre en GP-winnaars Gautier Paulin, Jeremy Seewer en Arminas Jasikonis aan de start staan. Ook de MX2-toppers Tom Vialle, Roan van de Moosdijk, Jago Geerts, Rene Hofer en Jed Beaton zijn van de partij in Arnhem. Ook talenten Liam Everts en Kay de Wolf zullen in Arnhem aan de start staan.
Jeffrey Herlings is de opvallende afwezige tijdens de testwedstrijden in eigen land.
Helaas is er geen publiek welkom tijdens de wedstrijden. “De KNMV ziet er samen met de clubs extra op toe dat er een veilige omgeving en een goed evenement wordt gehouden. Dat betekent helaas ook dat er geen publiek en/of fans aanwezig mogen zijn tijdens deze wedstrijden.
