Ik lees momenteel vier boeken. Twee voor mijn brein en twee voor plezier

Nav verschillende mensen hier die dit boek hadden gelezen werd ik nieuwsgierig en heb ik hem gereserveerd bij de bieb, gisteravond in begonnen:

Het is een dagboek dat is geschreven door de Nederlandse journalist Philip Mechanicus tijdens zijn verblijf in doorgangskamp Westerbork tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Te lezen via de link.

Mijn vorige boek (van Dimitri Verhulst) was een vergissing. Wat een kutboek.
Nu bezig in deze. Ik ga hem wel uitlezen maar ben er ook niet kapot van en begrijp niet dat het boek zo populair is. Oppervlakkig verhaal, niet uitgewerkte personages die veel te perfect zijn, clichématig taalgebruik, en spannend wil het maar niet worden (zit nu op 70%). Het voelt aan als de eindopdracht van iemand die net een cursus 'creative writing' heeft gevolgd.

Grappig die heb ik vorig jaar gelezen. Heel boeiend maar wel een turf om doorheen te komen. Black Hawk Down is ook goed.
Een boeiend onderwerp maar in mijn ogen te gedetaileerd geschreven waardoor er geen vaart in het boek zit.
