Sony verlaagt de prijs van zijn PlayStation Now-abonnement naar 10 euro per maand. Eerder was dat 15 euro per maand. Ook komen er via de dienst blockbusters beschikbaar, die na drie maanden weer verdwijnen. Nu zijn dat God of War, Uncharted 4 en GTA V.
Gamers kunnen voortaan ook per kwartaal betalen; drie maanden toegang tot PlayStation Now kost 25 euro. De prijs voor een jaarabonnement is omlaag gegaan naar 60 euro, dat was voorheen 100 euro. Sony zegt de prijzen aan te passen om ze zo meer vergelijkbaar te maken met andere entertainment- en streamingdiensten.
PlayStation Now is een abonnement dat toegang geeft tot honderden games die gestreamd kunnen worden. Het gaat daarbij veelal om oudere games die voor de PS2 en PS3 uitkwamen. Ook zijn er recente PS4-games via de dienst beschikbaar als download, maar het aanbod daarvan is kleiner.
Sony gaat vanaf nu maandelijks blockbusters tijdelijk toevoegen. Het gaat om populaire games die voor een periode van drie maanden via PlayStation Now beschikbaar zijn. De eerste games die op deze manier tijdelijk naar de dienst komen zijn God of War, Grand Theft Auto V, inFamous Second Son en Uncharted 4: a Thief's End. Tot en met 2 januari 2020 zijn die games beschikbaar.
GTA V is zowel als download en als stream beschikbaar via PlayStation Now. De online multiplayer vereist wel dat de game gedownload wordt, maar het singleplayergedeelte kan via de streamingfunctie.
PlayStation Now is beschikbaar voor de PlayStation 4 en pc. Bij de pc-versie zijn alleen de games beschikbaar die via streaming gespeeld kunnen worden. De nieuwe blockbusters die Sony tijdelijk toevoegt, moeten gedownload worden op een PS4. Het is de tweede keer dat Sony de prijs van PS Now verlaagt. Vorig jaar in februari ging de prijs van 17 euro omlaag naar 15 euro per maand.

These games will be available from 1st October, 2019 until 2nd January, 2020. Each month, the service will add a new selection of popular games that will be available for a limited period. This selection of content is on top of the existing offering of popular evergreen titles that are added to PS Now on a regular basis.
Since PS Now’s expansion earlier this year, we now cover 19 territories and 70% of our PS4 user base. This provides an opportune time for us to begin our first global marketing campaign for the service, including the first-ever PS Now TV spot, which can be viewed here.
Using our cloud gaming technology, PlayStation Now offers choice to subscribers with how they want to access their gaming content.
Gamers can choose to stream hundreds of PS4, PS3 and PS2 games available on their PS4 or PC devices, or download more than 300* PS4 games on their PS4 system. Some downloaded games support DLC and other user-purchased add-ons, as well as PS4 Pro enhancements. Seven-day free trials are available for new customers.

Ik heb laatst FF XV er al afgegooid met al die patches en extra's en DLC's. Die verslond ook de halve PS4.
Voor zowat elk spel wat ik nu installeer (zelfs via disc) moet ik er eentje opruimen

Ik weet nog wel dat ik binnen een paar maanden mijn PS4 vol had, dat had ik nog nooit gehad met een console
Gelukkig een Pro gekocht en later een externe harde schijf van 3TB (2,15TB ongeveer echt bruikbaar maar toch).
Je mag toch hopen dat er meteen tijdens de launch een PS5 is met 2TB

Ik lees steeds meer berichten van spelers dat Breakpoint niet best is. Lijkt niet beter dan Wildlands te zijn in ieder geval.
Wildlands koop ik dan wel in de volgende sale wel voor ¤10,- hopelijk. Een heel groot deel van die game niet gespeeld.

Het wordt wachten op patches, dat is zeker. Ik heb Ubisoft NL gebeld, met wtf. Ze gebruiken die beta van afgelopen week om daadwerkelijk fixes en suggesties door te voeren. Als in wat doen hun eigen QA dan? Uit hun neus vreten? Ik kan er solliciteren, de bugs zijn namelijk niet lastig te vinden, en ik ben tester van beroep :’)quote:
