| Bizar nieuws van KNVB: Rosario blijkt geschorst en kán niet spelen tegen Duitsland Héél opmerkelijk nieuws, een uur voor de aftrap van het Nations League-duel tussen Nederland en Duitsland. Pablo Rosario blijkt niet te kunnen spelen omdat hij geschorst is. De KNVB meldt dat. 'Pablo Rosario is niet speelgerechtigd voor de Nations League-wedstrijd tegen Duitsland vanavond. De middenvelder liep vorige maand een schorsing van één wedstrijd op bij Jong Oranje, na een rode kaart in de wedstrijd tegen Jong Schotland', aldus de voetbalbond in een bericht via de officiële kanalen. De bond is het niet eens met de schorsing. 'De KNVB was van mening dat die schorsing voorbij is, omdat Jong Oranje gisteren al speelde tegen Letland. Bovendien leest de KNVB in de officiële regels dat de schorsing alleen betrekking heeft op duels van Jong Oranje. De UEFA interpreteert de regels anders en zegt dat ook duels van het A-elftal onder de schorsing vallen, en dat een geschorste speler in zo’n situatie pas twee dagen later weer in actie mag komen.' De voetbalbond 'steekt de hand in eigen boezem'. Er 'had een grondiger onderzoek plaats moeten vinden'.
