http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/quote:The Apprentice is back with a new batch of ambitious entrepreneurs seeking to demonstrate their commercial insight and business sense to stay out of the firing line. There’s a £250,000 investment at stake and the chance to go into a business partnership with Lord Sugar.
Over the course of 12 tough tasks, the 18 candidates will be whittled down until just one victor remains. And plenty of sparks are set to fly in the boardroom along the way!
Each week the budding entrepreneurs will be divided into two teams - led by designated Project Managers - that lock horns under the watchful eyes of Lord Sugar's advisor Baroness Karren Brady and new aide Claude Littner.
After completing each task both teams return to the boardroom to discuss their inspirational or calamitous experiences and discover which side has triumphed.
The winners will be rewarded with a luscious treat while the losing team’s Project Manager must select two colleagues to accompany them back into the boardroom. Lord Sugar will then hear their arguments and fire at least one of them from the competition.
The eventual winner of The Apprentice Series 13 will be given the opportunity to be Lord Sugar's business partner and receive an investment to the value of £250,000 founded on the basis of their idea.

The Apprentice, Series 14 Episode 1 of 14
The search for Lord Sugar's next business partner begins, and this year the challenges are bigger and better than ever. Lord Sugar has already invested his own money in eight businesses, and he is now ready to take a gamble on a brand new venture. The 16 hopeful candidates will be whittled down over the next 12 weeks until only one remains. To demonstrate just how much is at stake, Lord Sugar summons the aspiring entrepreneurs to his boardroom, where he kicks off proceedings with something he has never done before.
Under the scrutiny of Karren Brady and Claude Littner, the candidates are tasked with tackling their first challenge abroad. The teams fly to Valletta in Malta, for a day-long shopping spree. The challenge is to bag nine Maltese items for the lowest possible prices before reuniting at the airport at 7pm.
One team quickly hits the road, but they are clearly on the wrong track. On the other team, fiery personality clashes over negotiations quickly rock the boat. As both teams navigate their way to the finish, one takes a punt by returning with items missing, while disregarding the deadline leaves the others facing mutiny.
In a heated first boardroom, Lord Sugar doles out hefty fines and on the losing team and someone becomes the first to be fired.

The ApprenticeSeries 14 Episode 2 of 14
Lord Sugar summons the candidates to the House of Illustration, the UK's only gallery dedicated to graphic art. On arrival, the teams are greeted by their business superhero as they've never seen him before. Via augmented-reality technology, Lord Sugar reveals that the candidates are to create a brand new comic aimed at eight- to 12-year-olds. They need to invent a new comic name, main character and original story as well as design a dynamic front cover using cutting-edge AR.
With comics printed overnight, they need to pitch to leading industry figures to secure orders. The task balances creative flair with productive pitching, and the team that forgets either could face a graphic showdown in the boardroom.

Episode 3 of 14
Lord Sugar summons the candidates to an 18th-century tidal mill in the heart of London's East End for their third task. The candidates are challenged to manufacture and sell upmarket doughnuts to both a corporate client and the public. One half of each team researches flavours, while the rest set out to bag a bespoke order from a corporate client. For one team, a decision to add spice turns up the heat, while on the other, using teabags causes tension. In the kitchen, a strategy to prioritise volume over quality control results in doughnut chaos, while the rival team face a lack of direction and a tricky corporate order.

Episode 4 of 14
The candidates are summoned to London's Royal Albert Hall, where Lord Sugar sets them the challenge of selling at one of the world's largest bodybuilding expos. Based at the NEC in Birmingham, the teams must tempt bodybuilders to part with their cash in exchange for high-end products and services aimed at fitness fans. With all candidates under pressure to get sales, it's a frantic fight to the finish as the teams muscle in on any last-minute action.

In an intensive three-day challenge, the finalists must create a new brand for their company, produce a digital screen for the London Underground and direct and edit a television advert before pitching to Lord Sugar and a room full of industry experts at London's City Hall.

They will need to design and brand their new attraction, which overnight will be turned into a 4-D ride that they will then pitch to the theme park's top talent to see whose ride they think is best. The task balances creative flair with productive pitching, and the team that forgets either could face a terrifying time in the boardroom.
During the ride design, one team's overly ambitious concept ends up hurtling them into a total spin, while for the others miscommunication sends them well off track. During the pitches, both teams must cling on as they receive a bumpy ride from the panel. Then there are twists and turns in the boardroom, and for one candidate it's the end of the ride as they are told – "You're Fired!"

Series 15 Episode 7 of 12
At the London Stadium in Stratford, site of the 2012 Olympics and home to UK Athletics and West Ham FC, Lord Sugar reveals that this week the contestants will be rebranding the country of Finland. Finland is known as a winter holiday destination, but for this task the candidates must create an advertising campaign to entice UK visitors during the summer months.
Half the team head to Finland to film the TV advert whilst the rest create a marketing campaign and a digital billboard to be displayed at Piccadilly Circus. The candidates must then pitch their advertising campaign to leading industry experts, including the head of tourism for Finland.
During the filming of the advert, on one team temperatures soar, while the other team make a big splash. Going into the pitches, both teams must convince the panel that they really understand all Finland has to offer, not just as a country, but as a summer destination.
The candidates aren’t out of the woods yet, as they’re back in the boardroom and facing Lord Sugar’s scrutiny. And for one candidate it’s time to pack their suitcase, as they are told – 'You’re Fired!'

Series 15 Episode 8 of 12
It’s Week Eight, and Lord Sugar instructs the candidates to put on their high-visibility jackets and meet him at the Battersea rail depot. There he reveals that it's full steam ahead for this task, in which the teams will be hosting a corporate away day onboard the iconic Belmond British Pullman train.
The candidates will have to lay on food, drink and entertainment while securing a good ticket price from the corporate clients to ensure a large profit. The task requires the teams to show off their organisation and hospitality skills. Get off track and they could end up with a one-way ticket home.
For one team the journey gets off to a bumpy start, while the others are left covering their tracks as they are faced with hungry guests. As this runaway train pulls in to the station, the candidates head back to the boardroom to face Lord Sugar’s scrutiny. For one candidate, it’s the final stop on their journey, as they are told – 'You’re Fired!'

It’s Week Nine, and Lord Sugar asks the candidates to meet him at the world-famous BBC Maida Vale studios in London. These studios have played host to some of the biggest music artists in history, from The Beatles to Beyoncé.
This week the candidates will need a good eye for business and an even better ear as they are challenged to become music managers. Each team must audition unsigned artists, choose which one to represent and then head to a studio to create a new remix of one of their tracks. The end goal is to secure sales of the record at their own showcase events. They’ll need to produce a good track and make strong sales if they are going to end up top of the charts in the boardroom.
For one team there are creative differences in the studio as they fall out more than the Gallagher brothers. On the other team there is a compilation of calamities as they fail to harmonise.
Back in the boardroom it’s time to face the music as Lord Sugar separates the chart toppers from the one-hit wonders. For one candidate there will be no encore, as they are told – 'You’re Fired!'

It's Week Ten, and Lord Sugar summons the candidates to Burlington House in central London. A cultural hub for the arts and sciences, it is home to five learned societies, including the Royal Society of Chemistry.
So for their next task, Lord Sugar asks the candidates to don their lab coats and goggles as he challenges them to create and sell their own perfume. The teams will have to come up with their own signature scents and design and brand a unique bottle, before attempting to secure sales from two major retailers. This task requires both creativity and a real nose for business. If they get it right, they could be sniffing victory in the boardroom.
For one team, a failure to make decisions means they get all bunged up. On the other, a bold attempt to make their fragrance stand out causes a stink. In the boardroom, for one team it is the sweet smell of success, while for the other the scent of defeat lingers in the air as they each fight to avoid hearing the words, 'You're Fired!'
