A few weeks ago I mentioned to a pilot friend of mine (who has I think about 40 years flying experience since gliding as a 15 year old to now flying cargo planes) that according to the official story the 9/11 planes were flying at about 575mph.
He laughed and said that I must be mistaken because at such high speed at such low altitude the wings would have broken off.

But I think the whole area was most likely cordoned off well before the event.
Most of the first eye-witness accounts of seeing planes came from people who were directly and/or indirectly connected to the media industry in some way.
