Hoewel mijn verwachtingen al heel wat minder hooggespannen zijn dan toen ik voor het eerst hoorde dat 'I, Robot' verfilmd zou worden, vrees ik dat ik de film toch wel ga zien in de bioscoop.

Stel: Een mens probeert een ander mens te vermoorden. De robot is getuige.
Dit heeft tot gevolg dat de robot zou moeten ingrijpen omdat de 1e wet stelt dat dit moet ("...or, through it's inactivity, allow a human to be harmed).
Dus zou hij de aanvallende persoon moeten tegenhouden. Maar om dat te doen zal de robot de aanvallende persoon moeten verwonden/pijnigen/weet ik wat, maar in ieder geval uitschakelen... dit mag dus weer niet volgens de 1e wet (A robot may not harm a human).

But what if harm to a human being is threatened by the action of another human being? There a robot must decide what to do. Can he save one human being without harming the other? Or if there must be harm, what course of action must he pursue to make it minimal?

Ik vond hem erg, erg slecht. Asimov is verkracht - wat te verwachten was - maar de regie van Proyas vind ik het allergrootste probleem. Een lege, vlakke actiefilm met ongepaste humor, stompzinnige actiescenès, zwakke dialogen, slecht camerawerk en nog veel meer.
Ik vond hem erg, erg slecht. Asimov is verkracht - wat te verwachten was - maar de regie van Proyas vind ik het allergrootste probleem. Een lege, vlakke actiefilm met ongepaste humor, stompzinnige actiescenès, zwakke dialogen, slecht camerawerk en nog veel meer.

Heb em vandaag gezien in Chiang Mai. Ik heb het boek nooit gelezen maar ik vond zowel de special effects als het verhaal goed. Ik heb me in ieder geval prima vermaakt
Ik kreeg ook een voorstukje te zien van Aliens vs Predator. Dat gaat me toch een koele flick worden

Ik heb hier thuis nog een LP liggen van The Alan Parson's Project genaamd "I Robot".
Lang niet meer gehoord (geen draaitafel meer, hé) maar wel lekkere muziek.
Van de week maar even op CD halen!
