Same here. Nog even geduld in mijn geval. Het einde van het jaar lijkt nu het ideale moment te zijn om eens een nieuw systeempje te bouwen, tegen die tijd heb je gezonde concurrentie met de videokaarten, is het ergste van de pricegouging als het goed is voorbij (2 maanden na de introductie van de 490, dus 1 maand nadat de custom PCB's zijn uitgekomen) en zou de prijs van de Intel CPU's (6600k) moeten zijn gedaald dankzij de introductie van Zen (oktober als het goed is).

I5 2440 is trouwens minimum voor Doom 4, niet de 4xxx.

Klote, ik kom er net achter dat ik Limbo gratis had kunnen krijgen tijdens de summer sale.
Nu wacht ik zeker met dat spel te kopen totdat het flink afgeprijsd is.

Een overklokte 7850 komt ongeveer op stock 7870 uit.
Je haalt gemakkelijk tegen de 1050 MHz voor de GPU (een verhoging van 20-25% van de kloksnelheid, met stabiele prestaties uiteraard want anders zou ik het niet tellen) zonder het voltage aan te passen, dat is vrij gebruikelijk, je hoeft niet de loterij te hebben gewonnen. Het geheugen kan je ook wat overklokken (van 1200 naar 1300 schijnt probleemloos te gaan) maar of dat dat enige zin heeft?
De 7850 zal dus ook nog wel gaan, al wacht ik wel op de 490 voordat ik Doom ga spelen, voor zo'n spel is een hoge FPS erg belangrijk.

Maar goed, het punt is dat de mensen die een AMD-kaart hebben een forse verhoging van de FPS kregen dankzij Vulkan en dat dit nog maar het begin van veel DX12 en Vulkan moois is.
Tenzij de developers het mijden om al te veel asynchrone computing te gebruiken omdat ze bang zijn voor een boze NVidia, het is maar goed dat AMD de consoles domineert.
