When I attended international exchange courses, I was amazed how bad everyone was at speaking the english language to the foreign students. I did not expect this to happen at hbo level (no, not the channel).
I'm actually more amazed at German people speaking Dutch and they typically do a better job at that. But lets be honest, usually the people who's mother tongue is a bigger language and who learned one of the smaller ones, often are more motivated to do so (they chose to learn it) while the other way around you kinda have to.quote:

I seriously doubt there's a single native speaker using this forum. 
So I suppose this is just a subforum where we're all gonna circle jerk and show off our English.

There's a truckload of people with university degrees who can't do simple math, or have mastered their own language in a proper way. We can't expect those people to be able to understand Sponge bob without subs.quote:
