I just heard from a Korean friend that 11.11 is similar to Valentine's Day in their country, and I said OMG it is the single's Day in China, which exactly the opposite meaning to them. This is really interesting lol
As the increasing number of Chinese singles (mostly guys, yes ladies in China are rare animals now ~O> ), people are starting seeking a day to celebrate as singles. So it comes 11.11, which "1" just looks like a wood stick, and stick is the nick name for singles in China...
So why it becomes the craziest shopping day for Chinese people? Maybe people just want to treat themselves better, and never wait for a lover to send you gifts. Come on, enjoy "singles' proud" here~

Btw, Allbuy is also having 11.11 promotion here, who cares what exactly the day means, all we care is 100% original guarantee products and 100% satisfaction guarantee services!

But... Is it also a day that a lot of single guys go out to find a woman? Like big speed dating events and such?

Maybe some dating association/groups would seize the chance to hold some dating events... But I believe most of the singles have faith for "I feel proud as I am single" :7
