Ik ben hard aan het lobbyen om die tijd te veranderen. En anders moet het maar, ik ben ondernemer dus dan neem ik woensdagochtend vrij .quote:Op zondag 11 oktober 2015 01:40 schreef TagForce het volgende:

Racers can never get enough racing. That’s the impetus behind the new Verizon IndyCar Series simulated racing league, a collaborative effort among INDYCAR, iRacing and RACER magazine to establish a top-notch online racing game with Verizon IndyCar Series and Mazda Road to Indy drivers competing alongside invited standout amateur virtual racers.
The weekly league – aptly named the “16th Street Racing League” in honor of where Indianapolis Motor Speedway is located – debuts Oct. 13. All races will be streamed live at 8 p.m. ET on IndyCar.com, complete with commentators and race stewards.
Professionals expected to compete include Verizon IndyCar Series drivers Will Power, Simon Pagenaud, Sage Karam and Sebastian Saavedra – each looking at the opportunity to keep their driving skills sharp until the 2016 “real” season arrives.
“INDYCAR has quite a long offseason and you have to find ways to stay sharp,” said Pagenaud, who just completed his sixth Indy car season and first with Team Penske. “iRacing is a great way to do that. It’s amazing how detailed the cars and tracks are on the sim. I’m looking forward to running some races in the 16th Street Racing League during the winter months. I’m sure there will be a lot of healthy competition amongst the drivers.”
The 11-event schedule features an array of current and historic Indy car tracks, with a mix of ovals and permanent road circuits. The first stop on the schedule is the 1-mile oval at Phoenix International Raceway. Other tracks on the virtual calendar are: Barber Motorsports Park (Oct. 20), Iowa Speedway (Oct. 27), Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (Nov. 3), The Milwaukee Mile (Nov. 10), Road America (Nov. 17), Pocono Raceway (Nov. 24), Sonoma Raceway (Dec. 1), Texas Motor Speedway (Dec. 8), Watkins Glen International (Dec. 15) and Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Dec. 21-22 oval qualifications and Dec. 29 race).
Karam, the 2013 Indy Lights champion who has competed in 13 Verizon IndyCar Series races over the past two seasons, is a long-time iRacing participant and proponent.
“iRacing isn't just for entertainment, I consider it a serious training tool,” said Karam, 20. “I found iRacing at a trade show when I was 13 years old and they were just launching the company. They made me a beta tester and I used it to train for the Skip Barber Shootout at Sebring. I trained 100 laps a night on iRacing for two weeks straight. I showed up at Sebring and never physically drove the track before (arriving). I went on to win the shootout over the largest class ever (52 competitors).
“I still go on iRacing with many other INDYCAR drivers on a regular basis,” Karam added. “My sim setup has come a long way from a lawn chair and a steering setup clamped to the kitchen table, though."
Hoe was het?quote:
Bagger. Er ging wat fout waardoor cautions uit stonden en de baan was zoveel heter dan verwacht dat de grip 0,0 was. Gelukkig telt de uitslag dus niet .quote:

Netjes. Toevallig net even gekeken. Tof dat er ook echte coureurs mee doen. Ooit doe ik eens mee aan het simracen als ik tijd en geld heb voor een goede PC
Edit: met wat voor stuur rijd je?
Nice. Enige bekende coureur voor mij is Will Power.quote:Op woensdag 21 oktober 2015 03:42 schreef Fir3fly het volgende:

quote:As Dennis Reinbold hinted at earlier this week, Sage Karam is to rejoin the team with whom he made his Indy 500 and IndyCar Series debut two years ago.
Dreyer & Reinbold Racing’s #24 Dallara-Chevrolet, co-entered by Kingdom Racing, will be sponsored by Dallas car restorers Gas Monkey Garage.
"We are extremely excited and proud to partner with Gas Monkey Garage,” said Dennis Reinbold. “We’ve been working very hard since last year’s 500 to build a strong commercial and competitive program for the 100th running.
"We believe Sage Karam is a very talented driver and we can’t wait for the month of May. The Gas Monkey Garage brand is known worldwide and bringing them to the Indianapolis 500 for the first time is a thrill."
Karam took ninth place in his first Indy 500 back in 2014, racing a Ganassi car run by D&RR. The 2013 Indy Lights champion then made 12 IndyCar starts for Chip Ganassi Racing last season, scoring a best result of third at Iowa Speedway, and also clocking fifth at Fontana's Auto Club Speedway.
However, Karam was released by Ganassi in December and allowed to pursue other opportunities.
"I’m really thrilled to be associated with Gas Monkey Garage for the 100th Indy 500,” said Karam. “It’s exciting to return to the Dreyer & Reinbold – Kingdom team as well. We had a great run in 2014 at Indy."
Reinbold, meanwhile, has also told Motorsport.com that he is working on finding a teammate for Karam, and favored JR Hildebrand, Oriol Servia and Townsend Bell.
However, he also suggested that the chances of finding the funds to make that happen were currently less than 50/50.
quote:Ed Carpenter will race under his own team's name again in 2016 after confirming the departure of former partners Sarah Fisher and Wink Hartman, as first reported by RACER.
Carpenter, Josef Newgarden and road/street course specialist Luca Filippi competed under the CFH Racing banner last year following a merger between the single car teams Ed Carpenter Racing and Sarah Fisher Hartman, however with Fisher and Hartman having ended their involvement, the team will revert to the ECR moniker for 2016.
"After competing for a year as CFH Racing, we will be returning to ECR for 2016 and beyond," said Carpenter in a statement. "While we had a great year as CFH Racing, we have had some partnership changes within the organization and it makes the most sense to return to ECR. I am proud of what we have accomplished as a team since we started in 2012 and look forward to building upon that success for another exciting Verizon IndyCar Series season."
The team will continue to be based at its current location on Main St. in Speedway under the joint ownership of Carpenter, Tony George and Stuart Reed, with Fisher to retain a connection by assisting the team with sponsorship development and working with existing partners.
"It's important for IndyCar to have strong entries on grid and this team needs to be two of them, so I will do what I can to help them with business developments and continue with solutions for our current partners," said Fisher. "I am lucky to have been an owner in this series for eight years, having incredible memories along the way. Lastly, I am extremely thankful to Wink and Libba Hartman for everything they've done to help us get to where we are today."
The team has also confirmed that it might only field one car full-time. Josef Newgarden is set to contest the full season in the No. 21 entry, with Fuzzy's Ultra Premium Vodka backing for the first four races. But while Carpenter will reprise his oval-only role in ECR's second car, no road/street program has yet been confirmed for the No. 20.
"ECR is in a great position as we head into 2016," Carpenter said. "We have been a Chevrolet team from the beginning, so we're excited to continue that relationship and help them win another championship. We have had a very productive off-season and our plans are well underway for a successful year."
Newgarden said that he is confident that the restructured team will be capable of helping him to build on the form that helped him earn two victories last season.
"I may never have had the chance to race an Indy car if it was not for Wink Hartman, Libba Hartman, Sarah Fisher and Andy O'Gara," he said. "They really were a huge turning point in my career and helped me break into the professional level. Their support was everything and more that a young driver could ask for.
"Moving forward, I'm extremely excited about 2016 with Ed Carpenter Racing. I enjoy working with Ed Carpenter so much, as both a teammate and a team owner. I look forward to putting 100 percent into the season and trying to achieve greater and bigger results. With the entire ECR team and the Chevy partnership we have, I feel there is absolutely nothing that can stand in our way from topping our very promising season in 2015."
