NASCAR Sprint Cup car stolen from hotel parking lot

Team Xtreme Racing is coming off a 32nd place finish in the Daytona 500 and things have gone from bad to worse for the small Sprint Cup team. Travis Kvapil was set to drive the No. 44 in this weekend's race at Atlanta, but the car he was supposed to drive is nowhere to be seen. It was in fact, stolen.
A trailer containing the race car was stolen overnight in Morrow, GA. The car and trailer were sitting in a hotel parking lot at the time of the crime. The team transporter is at the track, but as Kvapil explained on social media, the car was hauled separately last night.
He then added that it was a black Ford dually with a white trailer and a New Jersey license plate. Local authorities have been notified and are on the lookout for the stolen property, as well as the perpetrator(s).
The team does not currently have a back-up car and will be forced to withdraw from this weekend's racing in Atlanta.

Morgen weer een race. De gids van Sport1 zegt dat ze live alleen hoogtepunten (?!) uitzenden. Iemand enig idee hoe dat zit?

En gezien de race vanavond NL tijd pas gereden wordt kunnen het geen hoogtepunten zijn. Nee ik verwacht dus gewoon dat de race live uitgezonden gaat worden.
Klopt. De race begint om 19.15 uur Nederlandse tijd.
