De geur van sex, ofwel FUNK. Het is een stijl die is ontstaan in Amerika in de jaren 60. Het is voortgekomen uit de soul traditie en kent elementen van rock, r&b en jazz. Bekend geworden door James Brown en de groep muzikanten rondom hem en later ook door de The Meters.
