Natuurlijk. De tegenstander is ook sterk, maar Freaks is natuurlijk veruit de bruutste film van dit jaar. Creepier dan alle Universal flicks bij elkaar..

Daarnaast is het verhaaltje ook echt ultiem simpel. Ik kan me voorstellen dat het toen een bepaalde schokwaarde had, maar dat heeft het nu natuurlijk ook niet meer.

Het hoge exploitatiegehalte weet het geheel al wel makkelijk buiten je comfortzone te plaatsen, dat is misschien makkelijk gezegd.. Maar de scenes waarin de Freaks een prominente rol spelen, creeen mi een unheimliche sfeer die ik niet snel terugzie in andere classics

Voor mij wordt het dan I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang.

Zonder twijfel: I Am a Fugitive of the Chain Gang. Steekt al heel het tournooi met kop en schouders boven de rest uit.
Jullie moeten natuurlijk wel even de goede titel gebruiken.
