Former DEATH touring guitarist and current MILLENIUM axeman Ralph Santolla has joined ICED EARTH as a replacement for Larry Tarnowski, who left the group earlier in the year in order to continue his studies. Santolla reportedly plans to keep working on new MILLENIUM material and has recently welcomed singer Todd Plant back into the fold for the band's future releases.
ICED EARTH are currently on the lookout for a new frontman following the departure of Matt Barlow earlier in the month. A new album, titled "Glorious Burden", is due before the end of the year through SPV/Steamhammer Records.

Ik vraag me af of IE zelf ook zo 'at a loss' is als de fans bij het bedenken van een vervanger voor Barlow.
Ik denk dat het vertrek van Matt Barlow wel een flinke klap voor de rest van de band is geweest ja.

Longtime singer Matthew Barlow recently parts with the band during recordings for their new album "The Glorious Burden". Zijn er ook tracks met Barlow nog opgenomen trouwens?
Krijg je misschien zoiets als bij Tokyo Blade. Ze hadden het tweede album al geheel opgenomen met de zanger, hij verlaat de band en toen hebben ze het hele album nog eens opgenomen met een nieuwe dude.
Later hebben ze als novelty de eerste versie van "Night of the blade" uitgebracht als "The Night Before". Zou cool zijn als IE ook zoiets had.
Bruce Dickinson? Dat zou wel leuk zijn
Naja, ik denk dat ik even benieuwd ben naar het nieuwe Demons & Wizards album, en de zanger daarvan kennen we gelukkig wel, en das geen slechte Iced Earth top 5:

Well the album is done, and it's not just done, it rules!! I have never been more pleased in all my years of recording.
It came out the way it was supposed to be!
And now for the big news, it's Tim Owens on vocals and he did an amazing job! I know there were a lot of people hoping that this would be the case, and it is.
I've asked Neil to put a sample of 3 of the songs for you guys to check out. SPV agreed to letting me do this as long as I did not put the whole song up. I hope you enjoy them, I know I do.
