Last Rites are apparently working on their follow-up album:
"Last Rites busily working on their second album
The as-yet untitled sophmore album from the Wright brothers is currently being worked on at an undisclosed location in England. The band recently finished a tour of England to rapturous audiences. Dreamcatcher Records will release this new album when it is finished. Nod and Paul Wright are best known for their work in Fields of the Nephilim. They also worked with fellow ex-Fields guitarist Peter Yates and currently re-enlisted Nephilim bassist Tony Pettit under the name Rubicon in the early to late 90's.
Ook is NFD (een ander project van een ex-Nephilim) bezig met een release schijnbaar binnenkort...
Bovendien zijn er geruchten dat de officiële site van de Fields of The Nephilim nu eindelijk de lucht in gaat, de teller is genaderd tot 0 en er is al een tijdje een shop.
Op aanraden van Seborik heb ik de cd Elizium beluisterd, en ik ben best wel onder de indruk. Ik zal me nog wat meer in de band en zijn muziek verdiepen (alhoewel er in dit topic genoeg staat om me nog weken bezig te houden). Vooral de wat snellere nummers vind ik goed, maar ik heb dan ook een jaren '80 verleden met The Sisters Of Mercy en meer van die depressieve muziek.

N.F.D's debut single 'NO LOVE LOST' will be available august 2003. The Single will feature 3 tracks. 'No Love Lost', 'Break The Silence' & 'Unleashed'.The single will be avaiable in two formats, CD (JUNG68 CD) featuring all 3 tracks & a limited edition 7" vinyl (JUNG68 7") featuring 'No Love Lost' and a demo version of the track 'Control'.
This Single will be followed up later in the year with an album as yet untitled.
The track 'Break The Silence' features the guitar talents of F.O.T.N member Peter Yates.
Peter came down to NFD's Studio in London recently to record his part
and will hopefully be contributing to other tracks in the future.
The band are now going into to rehersal and pre-production preparing for the first set of shows later in the year. The live line up will include two extra members. Stephen Carey (Guitar) and Chris Milden (Guitar).The Single was produced by NFD & Neil Brockbank (Roxy Music/Killing Joke).

Peter "Bob" White, who previously fronted London goth band Sensorium, has been joined by Tony Pettitt, the Nephilim's founder-bassist and half the team the recent "Fallen" album, and Simon Rippin, drummer ex of Sensorium, The Nefilim and Fields Of The Nephilim 2000 touring band. They've become "N.F.D", and we're pleased to announce that they've signed to Jungle and have their debut single, the "Break The Silence" EP out at the end of August. And a special bonus for Nephilim fans: Peter Yates, the Nephilim's original guitarist, guests on the lead track!
NFD have spent a long time writing, recording and developing their sound. Tony's contribution was at first on a part-time basis, but after his recent marathon Nephilim album sessions ended in 2002 he decided to join NFD full time, adding his own distinctive mark to the music. They soon attracted the attention of many notable studio producers such as Greg Brimson (Bush, Metallica, Eminem), Cubanateâ€s Marc Heal and others before cementing a working relationship with Neil Brockbank (Roxy Music, Nick Lowe, Killing Joke etc). The 3 tracks on the single caused great debate on which should be the lead track as all are equally great. First choice was the storming "No Love Lost", a very catchy and fast four minutes, just edging out "Unleashed", a very close second 4-minute choice. It would be commercial suicide to choose a 9-minute track as the A-side, wouldn't it? But we kept coming back to it and everyone we played it to responded the same: "WOW". So, "Break The Silence" is the epic lead track with a crescendo of guitars!
The single will be issued on both CD and 12" (or 10"?) versions, the 12" with an exclusive different track on the flip-side. Cat. nos. JUNG 67CD; JUNG 67T.
Look out for imminent news of NFD's launch live gig in London at the beginning of August! NFD are also looking to arrange further live appearances across Europe. When playing live, two other guitarists will augment the trio: Chris Milden and Stephen Carey, giving Bob freedom to move around the stage.

Ik wacht wel op de further live appearances across Europe. Het mag wel heel vreemd zijn wil daar geen Melkwegconcert bijzitten.
Wil ze op zich ook wel zien, dat is dan in ieder geval al één figuur van de Fields. Nu de gothicrockgod Carl McCoy zelf nog.
Die kans is gelukkig nog niet helemaal verkeken.
