Het hangt van verschillende zaken af. Als je volbloed (rood bloed) geeft mag je als man maximaal vijf keer per jaar bloed geven, als vrouw drie keer per jaar. Als je plasma geeft (witte bloedlichaampjes) mag je om de twee weken doneren. Meer tijd ertussen mag ook natuurlijk.
