Brostep is (over het algemeen) ongeinspireerd, simpel en oncreatief. Gefocused op 'zo hard mogelijk' terecht dat er zoveel kritiek op is. Het is ook niet te vergelijken met bijvoorbeeld de (oude) skream inderdaad.
