Big Brother is terug. Dit maal met deel 2. Natuurlijk willen wij jullie deel 1 niet onthouden. deze is in het archief te vinden
Ik heb al gezegd niet meer over BB-UK te lullen, maar toen ik vanochtend in de supermarkt alle frontcovers van de Engelse media zag, kon ik het toch niet laten... ok, deze topic gaat NIET over Big Brother, maar alleen over de Nasty-Nick affaire:
Nick stond vanochtend op vier front covers van kranten. Eentje heeft een echte broer van Nick weten te strikken: "Nick got away with my heritage." New of the World die ik om principiele redenen niet kon kopen (zie Nieuws topics)
was het ranzigste van allemaal: kregen een bittere ex van hem te pakken: 'Nick is Sad and Bad in Bed' -ja ja, want Nick hield graag zien t-shirtje aan!

She shared a number of romantic dates with him after the death of her fiance Mark, telling him how MArk had been killed in Australia. Sam also suffered horrific leg injuries in the same accident from which she has only just recovered.
Sam's story bears an uncanny similarity to the story Nick told to his Big Brother housemates. He told them his wife had been killed in a tragic accident in Australia to win sympathy from his fellow contestants and viewers.
Sam, 30, said: 'I could not believe my ears when he started talking about his wife dying. Everything in that story was based on my experiences.'
Er volgen verhalen van een (andere) bedrogen ex en andere virenden van Nick... one said: "The problem was that Nick was always easily led, particularly by those who had the life-style he aspired to. He always pretended he was a big shot in the City, but the realty was that he had quite a humdrum job, compared to some of the high-flyers in the Square Mile. He would always try to emulate their lifestyl. He would never go to a normal pub. It would always be some flashy wine bar."
But Nick never struggled to fund his lavish lifestyle - he lives in a £300000 London house. De Mirror vertelt dat NN de zoon is van een self-made millionaire, begonnen als glazenwasser. Zijn vader overleed, kreeg hij 100000 pond, maar hij was natuurlijk diep geraakt. bla bla bla. Heeft altijd geprobeerd zijn vader te evenaren maar slaagde daar nooit in (waardoor zijn pogingen steeds desperater werden!).
'Nick's nasty side came out early;' een of andere gozer kent Nick al sinds zijn school jaren. Nick werd uitde klas gezet omdat de docenten hem niet aankonden. Hij was inderdaad zo'n jongetje die altijd kleinere kindertjes dan hem zelf liep te pesten, een bully heet dat in Engeland.
Ik moet zeggen, als je dit in een film zou zien zou je zeggen dat het totaal niet realistisch is: het klopt allemaal te mooi, het is allemaal te zwart wit.
Een of andere columniste die zichzelf blijkbaar heel intelligent vindt, wijdt haar column aan Nick. Ze neemt het op voor Nick, door te zeggen dat hij de enige er goed uitziende, intelligente bewoner was.

As I found myself yet again tuning in to the lives of these dolts (wondering why I wasn't getting one of my own) it occured to me that Nick is precisely the reason that men still rule the world.
While women have spent decades trying to be good and fair and decent, while we have tried to juggle demenanding careers betwen stints at the kitchen sink and trying to be the perfect parent, while we have fought for (and won) the right to make of half of the workforce not to mention half the electorate, the fact is we're still not players. De Engelse Big Brother lijkt inderdaad een stuk spectaculairder dan de Nederlandse. Ik denk dat het het hier ook wel goed zou doen, ookal hebben we hier al een BB gehad.
wat wel een mooie move zou zijn is om enkele weken voor het einde van BB te besluiten om geen prijs uit te keren. En dan kijken wie d'r nou ECHT voor het experiment in dat huis is gaan zitten.

Tsja of dat er op een gegeven moment duidelijk wordt gemaakt dat elke vorm van mediale aandacht en/of schnabbels contractueel is uitgesloten. Kan ook een lekkere rel opleveren.
