Nu draait alles om Donte Williams Jackson, een 18-jarige jongeman die al van kleinsafaan opgevoed werd door de Jackson-clan. Nog steeds woont hij bij Katherine, de 80-jarige moeder van Michael.
'Joe is de vader!'
Het was vooral Alejandra Oaziaza (de vrouw die vier kinderen heeft met Michaels broers Randy en Jermaine) die naar hem omkeek. Gedacht werd dan ook dat Donte de zoon was van haar en Randy, maar theoretisch klopt dat niet: Donte werd immers al acht maanden na een van haar andere zonen geboren. Het gerucht ging zelfs dat de nu 81-jarige Joe Jackson, de vader van Michael, de vader was.
'Altijd lief'
Insiders laten nu een ander licht over de zaak schijnen. "Donte sproot voort uit een affaire die de 'King of pop' in de jaren '90 had in Las Vegas. Hij en Michael hadden een sterke band, maar we weten niet of Donte echt beseft wie zijn ouders zijn. Hij is een droomkind, altijd lief," aldus een bron.
Michael Jackson stierf een jaar geleden op vijftigjarige leeftijd. Hij liet drie kinderen, Prince Michael (13), Paris (12) en Blanket (8), na.

And it was in 1976 that they filmed their own primetime television show for CBS and a Saturday morning ABC TV animation series.
After fulfilling commitments to Motown, in 1984 Jermaine accepted the invitation to join forces with Arista Records to release the album Dynamite, which featured the mega-disc "Do What You Do" and a number of duets. This was followed by the album Don’t Take It Personal, which housed numerous emotive singles and a continuum of well-produced albums. In 1985, Jermaine co-produced Whitney Houston’s biggest-selling debut album, Whitney Houston, which contained three hit singles and his duet with Whitney. His airwave success swept not only America, but in the same year, his duet with Pia Zadora in the UK, “When the Rain Begins to Fall,” topped many singles charts.
Although Jermaine’s vocal prowess is obvious, his versatility as a performer was accentuated in 1984 when the brother’s embarked on the highest-grossing concert tour till that time – The Victory Tour.
