Flitsende films en spannende series, bespreek het hier met elkaar!
Twee maanden van het nieuwe decennium zijn verstreken. Tijd om eens de balans van de jaren '00 in filmland op te maken. De jaren '00 hebben ons verblijd met een breed scala van films. Op ons geliefde FTR-forum hebben we vele films gezien, besproken, bejubeld en gehaat. Vaak organiseerde Gorro in het nieuwe jaar een tournament van het dan net verstreken jaar zodat het voor eens en altijd duidelijk werd welke film volgens de FOK!users het beste was van dat jaar.
Nu gaan we hetzelfde doen, maar dan dus van een heel decennium: de jaren '00
. Net als in de recente jaartournaments gebruikelijk is, heb ik een shortlist gemaakt bestaande uit de films die in de jaar-tournaments de laatste zestien hebben bereikt. Deze zijn aangevuld tot 256 films, waarbij ik me heb laten leiden door het aantal votes op Imdb in combinatie met de Imdb-score. Alleen films met Imdb-jaar vanaf 2000 tot en met 2009 liggen, doen overigens mee.Hieronder staat de shortlist:
Ik stel voor nog een discussieronde te houden. WIie weet zijn er bepaalde titels die ik over het hoofd heb gezien en die ingewisseld kunnen worden voor zwakkere broeders in bovenstaande lijst? Ikzelf heb het idee dat bovenstaande lijst een mooie mix is tussen toffe commerciële blockbusters en onbekendere meesterwerken uit het arthouse-circuit. Alvorens ik goed naar de films ga kijken, wil ik alvast iets opmerken.
Mij lijken de laatste 16 films van de tournaments namelijk helemaal geen geschikte nominatievoorwaarde. Dit omdat aan het einde van een tournament enkel de nummer één vaststaat, niet de nummer twee, laat staan de nummer 16. Veel films komen ver tegen zwakke tegenstanders en toppers worden vroeg uitgeschakeld tegen de uiteindelijke nummer één.
Maar misschien zit alles er toch wel in. Met een film of 20 à 25 per jaar zou het eigenlijk wel goed moeten zitten.

Is wel een pokke werk om bij te houden en te stemmen (hoewel je dan de eerste ronde bijvoorbeeld in een aantal delen kunt houden).

Hmmz. Vreemd dat Amores Perros ontbreekt. Haalde de finale van 2000, dus had er gewoon bij moeten staan! Over 512 deelnemers wil ik nog wel nadenken... Maar het is idd een heel karwei om bij te houden. Ik laat het morgen wel weten wat het wordt.

Is het niet praktischer om de Nederlandse release aan te houden, aangevuld met de gewoonlijke straight-to-dvd dingen en films die hier zeker niet meer zullen uitkomen?

Het meeste werk zit voor mij nog in het bijhouden van nominaties en steunverleningen enzo. Het tellen gaat nog wel met een vooropgezet excelsheetje. Alleen de eerste paar rondes zijn natuurlijk ook wat tijdrovend, maar goed.quote:Op maandag 1 maart 2010 22:44 schreef SaintOfKillers het volgende:

. Dat betekent dat we nog 128 deelnemers erbij kunnen nemen. De suggesties die hier genoemd zijn zet ik meteen op de nominatielijst. Met twee keer steun doen ze mee aan dit tournament. Voorwaarde is wel dat ze een 7 of hoger scoren op Imdb
Drie keer steun is nodig voor films die een 6 tot 6,9 scoren op Imdb
Vier keer steun is nodig voor films die een 5 tot 5,9 scoren op Imdb
Alles onder de 5,0 lijkt me echt niet geslaagd en ook niet goed genoeg om mee te doen met dit tournament.
Wat California aanhaalt, hield ik ook in mijn achterhoofd. We kunnen het wel doen hoor, maar welke 1999-films hebben een NLse releasedatum die in het jaar 2000 ligt? Is het de moeite waard uberhaupt? Het Imdb-jaar-criterium is iig simpel, al zul je altijd gevallen houden die een paar maanden of zelfs een paar jaar later pas hier uitkomen in de bioscoop of op dvd.

Zo krijg je steeds dezelfde films die hoog scoren, maar goed, ik haak hierbij af.

Nou nou niet zo snel afhaken! De grap is natuurlijk om de beste films te laten duelleren en uiteindelijk na te gaan welke film volgens FOK! het beste is van het afgelopen decennium. Dan is zo'n grens handig om troep meteen weg te filteren. Op duels als Battlefield Earth vs. Scary Movie 3 zit niemand te wachten. lijkt me . Ik ben me er overigens van bewust dat in de shortlist een paar films zitten die lager dan een 7 scoren . Ik heb de voorwaarde-criteria maar wat opgerekt.
