Nyon to stage club draws on Friday

The draw for the third qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League will take place on Friday 17 July at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, starting at 12.00CET and 13.30 respectively.

Different paths
The 20 domestic champions in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League will be divided in equal number with ten teams seeded and ten unseeded in accordance with the UEFA club coefficient rankings. In the route for non-champions, the ten teams will again be divided in equal number. For more information on the competition format click here.

For the UEFA Europa League draw, the 70 teams will be divided into seven groups of ten, with an equal number of clubs seeded and unseeded within each group. Sides from the same association cannot be drawn against each other. The draw ceremonies, which will both be transmitted on uefa.com, will be conducted by UEFA competitions director Giorgio Marchetti and Michael Heselschwerdt, head of club competitions.
