Omdat niet elke deelnemer het jaar bewust meegemaakt heeft, hier nog wat highlights:
* Op 31 maart vallen er bommen op Rotterdam, wat resulteert in 326 doden
* Op 3 mei wordt de April-Meistaking bloedig neergeslagen
* Op 24 juli vallen er duizenden doden bij een bombardement op Hamburg
* Op 23 september wordt Julio Iglesias geboren
Kortom, niet zo'n fijn jaar.
En op het gebied van film?
Mrs Miniver pakt de Oscar voor Beste Film, terwijl James Cagney de Oscar voor Beste Mannelijke Hoofdrol krijgt. Niet voor een misdaadfilm maar, verrassend, voor een musical.
Geboren worden o.a. Joe Pesci, Robert DeNiro, Chevy Chase, Jan de Bont, Ben Kingsley en Erica Terpstra. Hoewel die laatste uiteindelijk een beter zwemster bleek te zijn dan actrice.
Wat gaan we doen?
De bedoeling is om eerst een stel films te nomineren en dan later deze films twee aan twee te zetten. Op die manier kunnen we telkens de beste van de twee kiezen en houden we uiteindelijk maar 1 film over. Geniaal systeem.
Nomineren
Een film mag meedoen aan het tournament als er minimaal twee mensen zijn die 'm nomineren. Dit om te voorkomen dat we een winnaar krijgen uit Oezbekistan met 4 votes op IMDB.
Stemmen
Stem alleen op een paar als je beide films hebt gezien. Wel zo eerlijk.
